It all boils down to the owners. The owners didn’t want to sign the big names for a big club, a club that wants to compete in every competition and WIN. Now Klopp looks bad, Salah, Virgil and the rest. Just because the owners didn’t want to spend and still compete. Of course Klopp had to sign off and he’s probably psychologically damaged by now, having to compete every year with the same formula. I’d be exhausted too
Exactly, look how close we’ve come to league titles, quadruples even. We spurned these opportunities mainly due to fatigue in most cases and a lack of quality in others. Most of us who bemoan FSG are not FSG OUT, we are just FSG do a bit more. Push the envelope a little bit more so we can get over the line instead of falling short each season. Matip was our starting CB going into this season and got injured right away. What did our owners do? Did they rectify the issue in January? No they hid behind Klopp leaving and we had to play a young lad in Quansah who gave away a vital goal in our title race against Man Utd. You’re 100% about how this comes down to the owners.

Incorrect, they signed Ali who was at the time the most expensive keeper, stumped up for virg, Nunez, were willing to spend £115m on Caicedo…how can you say they’re cheap…the money is there for the RIGHT player if they aren’t the right player we won’t overpay what is so difficult to understand
All well and good saying Alisson was the most expensive GK. Not a difficult signing to make when you’ve just received £142m for Coutinho. The only big signing they’ve made without having to sell to buy is Nunez. That’s one in about 11 years.

THE REASON LFC is here is simple - the manager came out of nowhere in the middle of a season, when LFC was top of the table and chasing 4 trophies and said he didn't have the energy to do it anymore. The LEADER said he was done in January - the team simply followed the managers lead. That November decision (January video) will go down as the biggest mistake in Klopp's final year collapse.

I didn't know about the documentary, but it would explain A LOT... At the End of the day, This Seasons Result , Whether seen as Fail or Success is On Klopp. He Could have left announcement at End of Season or if hes so broken, Leave Straight away in January and have let the Assistants continue. A few players will be pissed off deep down at him. They signed to be part of his project. Mo stayed. He could have pushed for a Saudi move easy.
Mo can go at the end of this season not for his recent performance and his outburst with Klopp just because it makes perfect sence to cash in on him.He is worth £75-90 million thats a nice return on our investment plus the new manager will want to build a squad in his image with a younger profile of player.
Its with a heavy heart to say it, but we better cash in for Mo. I think his time at the club is coming to a natural conclusion. It would be naive not to sell him and then re-invest the money on young talent.
For me it looks like klopp is tired like he said when he announced he was leaving.

We may have scraped results if Jota never got injured again. When that injury occurred I knew we were doomed.
We've had some poor officiating decisions this season going against us. Selecting players with poor form, Rigid tactics. Poor finishing, terrible defending. No leadership. These things were always there even when we were winning. It was never addressed because of the result.
Winners who are not winning will fall out. It's the nature of competitive people. I feel Klopp is like every other manager in history, there tactics have a use by date and his tactics are predictable. Ancelotti said as much before the last champion's final. Looking forward to Slot time tbh

Players that come back are not necessarily up to speed on their form yet, so their return does not guarantee improvement. I believe that the poor performance against Man United, together with Klopp's imminent departure has seriously dented confidence in general, with a resultant dip in form throughout the team. I don't want to single players out, the team as a whole is suffering and it is not on account of effort, but on confidence and form.

The right to sell was at the end of last season, Salah has been below or just about average for along time now,
When Klopp goes to a club it takes 18 months to get team playing his formation and style, and then next year to bring in his players, then next two years he has success, then it starts to full apart, which it is now and has at his two previous clubs,
The irony is I bet to some extent Salah's frustrated he's going through his worst patch of form and his first injury that's really slowed him down when he's trying to be the guy that "wins it for Klopp" like he wishes he could be. There also is some lost in translation with the "fire" talk . I agree he was just wanting to calm down before making any big statements.
A lot of the goals conceded have come from turnovers in dangerous areas. These overexpose the defence such that it is almost impossible to constantly defend the attack. Another problem caused by the midfield and attack. Losing the ball constantly and then NOT counter pressing properly is mental. Our forwards are terrible at keeping possession, cycling possession, being press resistant, etc.
I think maybe the players feel Klopps intensity or his approach to games is not the same it feels like Klopp is counting down the days to leave he looks exhausted and maybe the players are not agreeing with his input easy to put blame on the players and they have to do better but I think Klopp is the issue he he looks like he don’t care he looks like he just can’t wait to walk out the door.
The club will let players go for free, we will cash in on Salah

Gakpo and Elliot are playing out of position, they aren't forwards.
The biggest issue is we aren't in control of games. Reasons:
The approach play has been terrible this season - that has nothing to do with the players but with the setup and style of play.
We are still trying to play a constant high press but it isn't executed properly mainly due to our players being more suited to ballplaying than pressing. This is causing our defense to be more exposed.
We have been overperforming all season.

We would never have followed through with the Caicedo bid imo. If we wanted him then why did we prioritise Lavia for months beforehand.
I think Salah, Diaz need to be sold to find the rebuild I would be looking to poach Toney or Watkins and also find a better wide man Neto or Raphinha.
The fall off started from the backroom,We don't know what actually happened between klopp n the management which resulted with klopp wanting to resign and then it spilled on the players.

Now we have all these delusional fans spewing negativity. The main problem for the past 23 games is the defence leaking early goals, opponents exploiting our formation(only 2 players at the back), using the the same avenues, tactics , & 442 formation and marking our forwards out of the game. This forces our mids & backs to play backwards. Now we have always managed to overcome and win until the past 4 games we suffered losses from mental fatigue. NNow our fans blame & scapegoat individual forwards when the whole team has been poor.
Reality is that is that at the start of the season it was stated that this this first season would be a transitional period to rebuild the team. Now the team has over achieved beyond all expectations for the season. So even with the breakdown in form, with due consideration with the amount of games, the team has done exceptionally well, even was contesting for top spot and congratulations is in order, not all this negativity & scapegoating. So let's lstop being delusional, leave the witch hunt, move on & motivate the team for the remaining matches.

L'pool's BIGGEST weakness is their defence. VVD is asleep on the job atm, TAA shouldn't be a defender, the rest apart from Robbo are mediocre.

YEP. It's baffling how long we've all been saying play Trent in midfield...even BEFORE he performed really well there for England....and yet somehow he remains at RB. He's a brilliant passer of the ball, has vision, and great at set pieces...but the man cannot defend to save his life
It's been frustrating to watch, Salah always goes for side footed shots and sometimes they have the power of a 12 year old girl, when he should just put his laces through it!
Then Nunez always puts his laces through it instead of placing it around the keeper.
If your wife mentioned out of the blue she is divorcing you, there is no way you would be 100% focused as the date draws closer. I see no difference here. None of the players have known anything other than Klopp at LFC since the day they joined so they are surely feeling lost and uncertain as the day gets closer. New season = new start and something to look forward to is my feeling.
I agree. There has been zero stability because the future is completely uncertain, or at least has been until now. They can't be expected to play like Arsenal or City when we're in the middle of a sudden and intense restructuring where nobody's position remains certain

Klopp has backed his players way too much. Mo should realize that and be respectful and grateful. He’s been very poor and 15 minutes is all he deserves until it changes
This is just hairdresser noise. Slot has to sort out who he wants with Edwards. I would not be inclined to sell anyone just now. The squad is too small. The weakness is in midfield. No grit to stop attackers and no creativity from that section for the forwards. McAllister is played out of position but isn’t what we really need. TAA needs to be properly moved into midfield and Bradley taking the right back slot. Konate needs to buck up or go. We need a captain who shouts at his team. VVD isn’t the solution. If Salah wants to stay I would keep him for the champions League next season but he has to extend his contract for this so we can sell him if it doesn’t work out. Nunez will probably have to go next season if his finishing doesn’t improve. I would still retire/sell: Jones, Tsimikas, Kelleher, Thiago. They offer very little. We still need better quality in midfield. He do isn’t the answer.
Y r we even acting like we r better invested clubs than other two when the budget klopp works on is half of others. I guarantee you klopp leaving is becoz of this financial restrictions and higher expectations. You can do that 2-3 seasons but not all your life.
