The Generations pull rates were higher... but not THIS much higher. Not even close. This is literally one of the most insane Pokemon openings I have ever seen.
That miscut Flareon will fetch a premium that's a substantial hit. You def get more hits than usual with a set like this as there is a sub-set called the radiant collection.
Generations was very generous with hits but this is abnormally insane.
It really isn't that crazy man. Getting what he calls a "big hit" is about 1 in every 2 packs
I’ve opened up plenty of Generations and can say, again, it’s a generous set and this is an insane amount of hits. Are they all crazy valuable? No, but they doubled up on the bigger cards (Pikachu, Sylveon, Flareon full art).

Are you so brokebrained that you must default to value as if that’s the sole decider of if this makes a good or bad number of pulls? Price aside, 20+ EX or better hits out of 36 packs IS pretty insane, irrespective of value. That’s all.

One thing pokemon never disappoints is definitely the artwork. This entire set might be complete bulk, but the print status, scarcity of sealed product, and the cards being pretty definitely help, although I still think they're overvalued in the market.
The artwork is cheap CGI crap...

This would have been an overall disappointing video back when these were new. The only meta hit from the whole set was Jolteon EX. You had trouble giving away radiant collection hits. That full art Flareon was about $3 at the time.

this is literally wild. soooo many hits. you pulled them from assortments it paid off biggg time. what a lucky day.
In Japan they released the set as, pokekyun. Every single card is holo with different patterns and completely different texture to it. I have a box opening of it that is private. Western market was changed by a lot and the holos are much different and kept some of the art borders and accents on some of the cards. The charms and accents are on every card in the Japanese set.
How to gauge value on PSA 10's. A guide for Rudy. 1) you look at the value the card is selling at without a slab. 2) you go out and stretch your arms in the beautiful sun. 3) you look at the value of graded examples at grades 6 through 9.5. 4) you have a cup of coffee and think about life. 5) you say F it, and charge whatever the f you want preferably 4 to 5x what one graded 10 sold for in the past 6) nap and repeat

Those Sylveon's are $600 each GM10, the full art Flareon EX is ~$1000. Everything else is $15-$20 and some $50 unless I'm missing something.
You need to follow up with Brian and see what he sells that miscut flareon for... That card could be worth big money

Holy hell man your patron came up huge. Rudy was pulling $20 cards out of packs like it was nothing. Pulled a $60 card from the main set.
This was a broken opening. Loved it.
You have reverse slot, rare slot and 2 radiant collection slots in each pack with higher pull rates so you definitely have a higher chance at pulling crazy cards but this really was a good opening aswell, flareon full art and mega Charizard are the 2 best cards in the set, with holo charizard, sylveon full art and pikachu full art up there aswell.

Generations and all holiday sets tend to have better pull rates. In this set you have the rare slot, but also the radiant collection so you have chance to pull double rares.
First half of the opening I am asking why Rudy is flipping out over meh pulls. The second half, my jaw dropped. Crazy pulls.
So refreshing to see someone open a pokemon card pack without shifting the back three to the front. Always disliked that about pack openings.
One of the reasons this set is so expensive now is because the pull rates were nice due to them being either 2 or 4 packs per box depending on what boxes you got.
But it has to be the art on the radiant collection they added in that just made this set so nice, plus I think they have one of the best Pikachu cards ever printed, was the whole reason why I bought so many of these boxes back in 2016 just to pull the full art Pikachu.

What an opening.. You hit all of the best cards. The Sylveon ex, and Pikachus are the best pulls. And you pulled multiples lol

The graded flareons alone pretty much make up the value for the sealed packs (4 regular ex's and the other art ~$2k) - then the miscut could go bonkers just because collectors lol - Everything else are pluses which is bonkers.

But, I only have experience seeing that done on sealed MTG boosters. It's sooo dishonest. Idk if that's the case here. I don't know the proper Pokemon card order for this set.

Its really a mixture of how hard to grade the cards are, collectibility (artwork, popular pokemon, etc), demand/hype.
Prices can get crazy when a psa 10 charizard only has a 100-150 population.
Look at the Mega charizard Ex 108/106 for example, still a modern card but fetching a nice price.
Even better examples in the NEO series.

First time in years that alpha has popped up on my feed and I’m not complaining
it's as if these packs were weighted, amazing on this one Rudy
Insane hits! Much much better than normal. Multiple $1500 cards in psa 10 and so many more that are $300+
I love how the regular zards didn’t make it up as hits when those are expensive

Every time I watch Pokémon cards open I get flashbacks to when my mom burned all my Pokémon cards. They were base set, jungle, fossil, and base set 2. I had a full collection of base set 1. In fair to good condition because I kept all of mine in binder.
Those regular holo zards fetch for about $400 a pop in psa 10 this man cooked with this opening

Yes, the pull rates for generations were high. No booster boxes were available for this product. iirc only elite trainer boxes, display boxes with a promo card came with a couple of packs, and 20th year anniversary super collection had theses packs.

Even though Generations has alot better pull rates than regular sets I don't see how you cant absolutely love to see it opened. Beautiful cards. PSA 10s of alot of these cards even with the increased pull rate run a couple to a few hundred bucks. Generations doesn't have the best print quality either. Generations is just still very underrated.

That was absolutely insane. generations pull rates are pretty good because it have a subset called the radiant collection. but the pull rate ain't that good you absolutely killed it. That was the best generations opening I've ever seen
The energies in this set aren't in any particular order they're just treated as commons and in any of the common slots. The pull rate is higher due to the subset and having more slots for hits. You could still find the mythical boxes these packs came from for $10-20 in 2020.

Any time you have sets like this where the foiling is mostly silver or clear, the premium on a 10 is going to be batshit because of how easily those cards scratch, even in the pack.
That's why a 1st Edition Base Chansey is so expensive as a 10; the entire surface of the holo is basically just the raw foiling with no overlay.

Give me a set that has this high percentage hit rates with beautiful amazing card. Plus let alone graded psa 10 has high value. Holy fawk! I almost cried watching this video. Generation is totally underrated and totally the best of it all. Value, pull rate, and beautiful artwork with emotions.

combination of slightly better rates the sub set within called radiant collection and you broke down pin boxes so just lucked out with the pulls being consecutuve

Do some more research mate :p Unfortunately the printing during this era was abysmal and it's quite hard to get PSA 10s. That's the main reason why 10s are so expensive. Take the full art Flareon for example: roughly $700 for a PSA 10, but only $70-$100 for a PSA 9. The buyer is only making profit on this if he's super lucky and grades a few 10s.
