    I started my loc journey in October 2019 and I used ur video as a guide. Ppl told me two strand twist for thick locs were impossible but u taught me otherwise and I'm so proud of my plump locs. 😊🤗

      @@kieshaarielle Thank you. I'm wondering if I can transition into palm rolling instead of interlocking it now that my hair is used to being locked

    • @kieshaarielle
      @kieshaarielle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeah you can. I only ever interlock the root at the installation stage; after that I palm rolled. So, yeah you can start to transition to palm rolling providing you have enough new growth 😊

    This is why I’m on my 4th Loc journey. Not knowing my hair. I have low density fine strands. This time I went with cross between bigger sections and semi full look. I have more locs in the front than the back. This is it. I’m fine with how they look this go round. I will be 3 years in October

    I hope you see my message. You really helped me. I live in the U.K. and in the area I live I can't find a loctician to save my life. I started my loc journey by myself and I couldn't understand why they just didn't look right. Too much scalp, skinny, I tried twice. I found your videos and have been binge watching all morning, and now I know what must be done and how to do them. I parted my hair with rubber bands, and I decided I want thick locs, and in order to get that, 45 locs, is the way to go. Lol.. So excited. New subbie.

    Best explanation ever! I’m still doing my research and trying to decide which loc method to use. I want fullness and versatility and was wondering if I could get away with having the scalpy look. I see now that I can’t but your video helped me to realize to just embrace the scalpy look so I can get to the full look. Because of your video, I have decided to keep my sisterlock appointment on June 27th. Thanks so much for your expertise and awesome explanation! Also, you are absolutely beautiful and I love your headwrap🥰

    Thanks for this I definitely have low density fine hair even my profile shows with braids... my hair couldn't handle that weave In the front. I love my texture but it is very fragile so I'm trying the loc journey I only have like 60 maybe. But some are so thin even with big parting. I'm gonna try it out and keep my fingers crossed. Did you start your journey again?

    Girl! Thanks for the clarification Cuz i just started my loc journey and i two-strand twisted them but i did them very small almost like Sister Locs but not that small. It looks so scanty …so I’m scared of it becoming thin in the future but i guess It will come out well.

    Thank you for this video! I am considering locing my hair and I need to do as much research as possible...my hair is fine and its density is low as well. I need to figure out exactly how to do it correctly. I am looking for high volume. I want fullness, versatility in terms of styling, and I want to also hide the fact that my hair is low density.

    Oh I wish I could do Locks but my alopecia prevents me from doing that, perhaps faux Locs but then I would have to remove them quickly because the weight of them might cause more problems with hair loss. Hope you and the kids are doing well!

    • @kieshaarielle
      @kieshaarielle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have been looking into alopecia some more and have discovered for those who seem to have prolonged alopecia; this is due to the body being too acidic. So doing a detox and cleansing the lymphatic system will help with hair growth. So maybe you can try that. There is this herbalist I have been following and he shares some very good information as well as sell tonics etc that helps with cleaning the body. You can check him out or even submit questions about your issue and he will give you the correct advice which applies to you and let you know what products of his can assist with any health ailments you may have. His website is: www.yahiawakened.com Yes faux locs can cause more hair loss, I experienced that 3 years ago which I shared in video how I lost more hair after taking mine down :(

      I have alopecia as well which made my hair lower density. I have microlocs to keep the weight down and I wait between 8-10 weeks before getting it retied. My locitician is makes sure she does not retie too tightly . Depending on how severe yours is it can be done. I find it helps me not have to manipulate my hair or irritate my scalp as much and no more detangling. It’s really worked well for me unless I start doing too much styling. Hope this helps❤

    Kiesha, would you ever considering starting another set? If no, why? If yes, why?

    • @kieshaarielle
      @kieshaarielle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Set of locs? Yes of course! I mentioned in the video that I now know what method to consider since I now understand my hair's profile 😊
      The reason I would start another loc journey is because it's a great long term protective style for my natural hair, which isn't gonna harm my hair. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the build up 😭😭😭

      @@kieshaarielle I've been loc'd for almost 5 months and I'm super careful with products. The Lion Locs brand (on Amazon) co-wash/leave-in conditioner is baeee. Smells so good, and zero build up. It's great to put on in the shower after the steam softens the hair shaft, then leave it in. No residue. I use Genuine African Formula SuperGro Hair Gel (yellow and red label) for retwists. No build up. Rosewater mixed with a little vitamine E oil, weekly for moisture. I keep it this minimal and have no problem.
