To anyone having trouble connecting to the controller via Bluetooth, try and activating your Location Services and then try again, that solved my problem :)
@@ariel1k2 all of them are lit up even when the app is switched to off they are still on. They stay a dim static light blue and won't change color or mode or even turn off.
@@sparky1570784 First make sure the power supply is correctly connected since even the slightest disconnection will terminate your bluetooth session. Other than that go to the settings and configure the right led strip type, mine was ws2812b so I chose we2811, also choose the correct RGB sequence. Those two should fix it, if not honestly O don't got any more ideas :(
@@ariel1k2 yea I'm at the same point of out if ideas as well. I have selected the type and led arrangement and even selected the amount of LEDs (pixels). I have the power and ground soldered directly and even tried a separate plug in power supply. Nothing. Still just stays on in that dim light blue. Almost thinking there's a short inside the control box some where because I noticed in the video when you plugged in the leds to the controller it didn't turn on right away until you started messing with the settings. Mine turns on and stays on the moment I plug it in regardless if my app is connected or not.

I got the ws2812B for this controller and the colors are flipped (I chose the RGB WS2811 in the settings menu). Is there any fix? I tried other settings but it does not match up.
I have the sp107e controller that uses led chord, my lights are ws2815 5meter and 60 led/meter for a total of 300 led’s. What numbers do I put into the settings where it has segments, pixels etc. ? I tried 1 segment and 300 pixels but it won’t allow those numbers, 2 segments and 150 pixels per segments will work but I’m not sure if it’s right. Any help would be greatly appreciated
When you unfold your light strip and lay it on the floor, adjust these two parameters again, and different parameters will have different effects. You can carefully compare and see

after a couple minutes it smelled burnt and when i unplugged the power supply the end of the plug had burnt plastic. i bought the exact same power supply. It may have been because of how the plug was angled, should i try replugging it even with the end of the power supply plug burnt or is that a really bad idea
You need to investigate where the short circuit is. It's possible that the positive and negative poles of the light strip are touching each other ,like the LED strip red wire and white wire touch each other

It depends on which LED strip do you use . If you use DC5V LED strip , you should use DC5V power supply . If you use DC12V LED strip , you should use DC12V power supply

Mine won't work. I;m trying to set-up 3-pin lights. The Mokungit ws2182b 93-led ring set. If I turn on the app when the controller is connected to power and the leds, the controller does not appear on my phone's bluetooth. If I turn on the app with the power on the controller but LEDs UNplugged, my phone can find the app, it will connect and I can choose LED type and # of pixels. However, as soon as I plug the leds in, the app disconnects and the phone cannot locate or connect to the controller

I have a problem with my Hex-Halo for my car's Headlight. On the Magic-Led app, i have selected a Solid Color from the color wheel (NOT FROM the FIVE COLOR on the bottom), it works at first, BUT when you turn off the car engine and ON again, the LED light turns to RED and not the one you selected before.
Hello Magic-LED app has a problem, it will lose the original setting when your power source is cutted off. So that, you need to set again when you connect the power engine.

the bluetooth controller can control WS2812B and the WS2813 Led strip. all of then are the same IC the WS2812B led strip has one date input , when one led can not work or the data wire is broken the rest LEDs can not work ,because the rest leds has no data . WS2813 led strip has two data input , has a data input and a backup data input . all of them connect to the data output from the controller. when one led is broken or the data wire is broken , the backup data wire still can work ,so the rest leds can still work fine.

2048 is the maximum pixels the controller can control. You can just enter 2048, then you don't need to calculate the number of the leds. But your operation is also right.

What is the max number of APA102 Leds for this controller? I have a Led Strip with 300 Leds in front of me, but i think its not a good idea to connect them. 300 APA102 Leds is 18A current for this tiny controller. You can set 2048 Pixels in the settings but this is unrealistic! 2048 APA102 Leds = 123A! This is definitively not a good idea. i can't find a description what the max current is!
Hello , you can use DC5V20A power adapter for the 3000Leds apa102c LED strip , that is ok. It also can control 2048 pixels .Of course it can pass 123A current , but there is another problem , every led strip will voltage drop. For example you end to end connect 4 rolls apa102c led strip ,there are 1200 pixels and you use the DC5V7A for these pixels, you will find that you can not light up all the 1200 pixels ,at the end of the led strip can not light up , so you have to add DC5V at the end of the led strip. So the controller just pass a little part of current , you have to add the rest current at the end of led strip.
you mean RGB5050 led strip ? no , it can't . because the RGB5050 led strip has no intelligent IC so it can not have the rainbow lighting effect . they will have the same color at the same time and Blinking . the lighting effect can not running.

Can I just connect more of the light strips continuously with the plastic female and male connector sockets ?
You mean connect many LED strip light in series? Yes , it can . But you have to power injection every 5meters or 10meter because of voltage drop

Hello, SP105E controller have 200 kinds mode,but I can't makesure if it has the rainbow scroll effect. You can adjuast the speed.

Does this turn on when you start your car or everytime you need to connect to Bluetooth and then turn it on in the app?
When you power on , it can control your led strip . But when you want to change the lighting effect , you have to connect it via bluetooth .
Why does my leds stay a dim static pale blue and I can't change it. App doesn't do shit. What's going on? Wires are connected to power ground and data inputs.

where to download the bluetooth software?

Use the APP Magic-LED , it is bluetooth controller
What is the max number of APA102 Leds for this controller? I have a Led Strip with 300 Leds in front of me, but i think its not a good idea to connect them. 300 APA102 Leds is 18A current for this tiny controller. You can set 2048 Pixels in the settings but this is unrealistic! 2048 APA102 Leds = 123A! This is definitively not a good idea. i can't find a description what the max current is!
Hello , you can use DC5V20A power adapter for the 3000Leds apa102c LED strip , that is ok. It also can control 2048 pixels .Of course it can pass 123A current , but there is another problem , every led strip will voltage drop. For example you end to end connect 4 rolls apa102c led strip ,there are 1200 pixels and you use the DC5V7A for these pixels, you will find that you can not light up all the 1200 pixels ,at the end of the led strip can not light up , so you have to add DC5V at the end of the led strip. So the controller just pass a little part of current , you have to add the rest current at the end of led strip.

you mean RGB5050 led strip ? no , it can't . because the RGB5050 led strip has no intelligent IC so it can not have the rainbow lighting effect . they will have the same color at the same time and Blinking . the lighting effect can not running.

Hello, you can scan the QR code from SP105E and download the Magic-LED, after you download the app, find the SP105E(No password), them make a test "RGB" or "GRB" or others(It needs to test by yourself, the match is random, we can't make sure) until testing the true one.
