I tested the new Revisions of colorful X2 music controller with 300led WS2812B strip+5V 40A Mean Well power supply! They are all available in my ebay store, thanks for your watching.
On paper: Pro: This version x2 controls 1000 pixels (compared to 600 in the x1 model). And it has 27 main modes (compared to 14 in the x1 model). Cons: 27 music modes, (compared to 33 in the x1 model).
Nearly every seller out the only has the X1 27 music mode version The variant of the X1 is the X1 ver 2 which has 33 music modes and 14 main. The X1 v2 is very hard to source but has more music modes which is far better in a sound to light controller. Can't really see the point of the normal modes in a music controller. If anyone knows where I can source the X1 33 music mode version I would be grateful. Everyone keeps sending me the 27 modes version in a 33 mode box.
I get the Math but don't get why A 120 LED strip for example pulling 9 amps maxed out utilises 22 AWG cable. The strips tracking would burn out within weeks!!
I've got the exact same setup, but the LED strip light up, but I can't make the colors change by using the colorFul X1, I tried selecting the IC's but no solution, do you have idea?
Anyone know how to configure this, cause I bought the X1 music controller and only the 10 LEDs in my 5M strip light up to music.I have WS 2811 and not able to control it at all. Powersupply is perfect 12V & 15 A.
King Johansson I have done this as well but still nothing changes, I get a constant white light of 100 LED's but not able to control it, can't change the color nor does it respond to music. Any help here ?
Eric John Have you connected as has the picture, you don't need to care about the blue cable. Just the others. Connect as the picture then they should work. goo.gl/images/uZWzt5
King Johansson hi , I've perfectly connected it but still nothing, the led Strip works perfectly with the K1000-C making multiple transitions,etc but this just does not seem to work. Is there a way to program or reset it ?
PASQUALE GRECO you have to have the same voltage as the led strip. if it is 5v led strip you have to have 5v power supply or converter from 12v to 5v. If it is a 12v led strip you have to have a 12v power supply.

This depends on LED’s per meter, the lowest density you can get is 30 LED’s per meter and the highest is 144 LED’s per meter, as far as I know The power draw is also dependent on how many LED’s per meter you have so you have to calculate this on your own

Yeah you have to program your sd card programing does not come with it
