RIP me I only have the Icons one. so my list is... 1. DC Icons Superman Obviously. From what I've seen though, I really want to get the Mezco one or the NECA Chris Reeve one. Those look phenomenal. From what I've seen of the Essentials figure, I really can't look past the gorilla arms unfortunately
you prolly dont give a damn but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I love any assistance you can offer me!
@Emiliano Bryson Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
8:19 Most definitely have to agree with you on that good sir. Christopher Reeve will always be my Superman, he was and always will be the best Superman. Also it is my favorite version of the costume be it on film or television (Had to edit for correct time lol)
I'm guessing you've probably never seen Gerard Christopher's costume from Superboy tv show. His version was better than Reeve's. The S was larger, an smoother looking on his chest. Reeve's S always looked kinda clunky, but they fixed that on Gerards costume. So I think he had the best version, for back then, Reeve's is 2nd though. Although he was never made a action figure form though.
I love the new essentials superman aswell. Actually I really like the whole line so far. I've heard people say that the line is trash and I just dont get it. There solid with a bit of weight, there more articulated than any other figure I've ever had and they look great. I think that their only downside is the QC and the leg joints can get a little loose.
Yup! The Silver age Powder blue aesthetic having one, That's my favorite. I wonder why he never reviews that ??? Nor did it make the Top 10, SUPER WEIRD!
Regarding the featured figures, I like the Mattel 2003, DC Direct super articulated and of course the Kenner Super Powers figures the most . Neca's 7" Reeve version is nice but given how brittle their stuff tends to be, it loses a few points. As far as other classic Superman figures not in this video, I like the Toy Biz Superman. I'm also a fan of the Kenner Superman: Man of Steel Power Flight Superman. Perfect representation of the post-Death/Return Superman. Any chance of a video on that line Brad?
Loved your video! I have my personal favorites, but I use a different criteria. I tend to favor the beauty of the scupts over the amount of articulation, and don't like the figure much when the articulation gets in the way of the sculpt. For instance, the super-articulated 21-point of articulations Superman from that 2003 line, it's beautifully sculpted, but the articulation cuts are too obvious and break the sculpt, in my opinion. It's still a nice figure, and does make my top-10, too. I still prefer other figures like the Alex Ross Justice Superman (not the Kingdom Come one, but the Classic Superman one), or even some based on a certain art-style, like the New Frontier one, or the New Gods one. Those are amazing!
Great review my top 10 is the 10. Alex Ross super man. 9 . Kingdom Come superman, 8 dc universe classic superman all star. 7. Side show 1:6 scale superman. 6. Neca Christopher Reeve , 5. Mego superman, 4. Beast Kingdom Henry Cavill superman 3. Dc direct infinite crisis superman, 2. Toybiz superman, 1. Super powers superman.
Hi Brad, i´m quite agree with your list, my favorite is DC essentials Superman, and the second is the DC Collectibles New 52 Trinity pack Superman, i´m very nostalgic too from Mattel Super Powers Superman , and the most special was a Rubber Superman figure that my parents bought me after to see the Superman movie from Richard Donner, i remember that i carried this figure with me to all places, i missed him in a Restaurant and i remember was so sad during a long time.
I havent yet found a superman 6 inch figure I am completely happy with. Usually its the face that fails, whether chin size or looking too young, or eyes, etc. If I could find one that perfectly personifies that 80s superman image, like from the defunct Ruby Spears cartoon, that would be great.
It's the Same as the "Classics" one which is his #5. All of the Classic's started on DC SUPERHEROES cards, @6:49 The one your talking about is on one of the far corners.
My favorite would have to be the DC Direct Alex Ross Superman action figure, it stands out so prominently against my other Superman figures. I love how it really captures the heroic presence of the character!
Great list. The Superman I chose for my DC shelf is the DC Multiverse SUPERMAN Dark Knight Returns. I like his chunkiness and just looks to me what Superman should look like. And the Batman looks good next to him. P.S. his loops are painted ; )
Hey Mateo, I believe the Gold figure _podium_ comes w/ The Silver-age Supes boxed set. Funny Brad never mentioned that. Cause I remember on A stream once, he talked about how he loves it for like 20mnts straight..
My favorite Superman figure from comics is DC essentials and my favorite sups from movie is DC films Superman figure (it's almost as good as a hot toy)
Hey got 2 questions what was your first dcuc figure, dc direct ,dc icons figure and what do you think think about James Gunn the director of gurdianes of the galaxy movies writing suicide squad 2.
I actually have most of the figures on this list already, so that's a thing. I would love if you did a video on the ToyBiz DC Superheroes line of figures from 1990. I think it's just a fascinating line as it's basically official bootlegs of the Kenner DC Superpowers figures. So much so that sometimes it can be tricky to tell one from the other.
My personal favourite is the Justice league Alex Ross figure. Although I have seen the Superman vs Alien frim NECA which looks like it could easily take the spot for number 1 but its not out yet.
10.dark knight returns superman 9.public enemies superman 8.dc multiverse super friends superman 7.dc direct superman 6.dc direct jla superman 5.hush superman 4.dc icons superman 3.last son superman 2.dc super heroes superman 1.history of the dc universe superman!
Jup! The History of the DCU line has more than A couple of good figs! It's A Really Great line. One of the all-time Best. And A Good comic series as well. Ya get A really nice over-sized GN Version- w/ the Wolfman & Pereź CRISIS boxed-set.
I wish there was a 2023 version of this video. I want to find a good classic superman figure and don’t know where to start. The Superman Hush from Magee is really expensive
I personally would have the Mezco as my #1 Classic Superman. Sure it's not 100% comic accurate and the costume material is kinda weird, but as someone who enjoys putting their figures in different poses and for how photogenic he is in said poses on top of having some brilliant accessories (magnetic bullet hits is GENIUS) he's a smash hit that gets too much hate IMO. Also the Neca vs Muhammad Ali deserves a mention if only for how sneaky Neca were in getting us a classic Superman. from what I understand, since Mattel, jerks that they are, refused to allow Neca to make 6-7 inch figures of DC characters unless they're a limited thing (which even then Mattel seems to have stopped since Neca aren't allowed to make their teased Superman and Batman vs Aliens and predator sets). When the 2 pack was announced they didn't show Superman's non-gloved hands and basically just sneaked them into the box so people could have a classic Superman without gloves.
I think my second favorite is the Last Son Superman figure. I just really love the sculpt on that sucker. Same thing with the Batman Vs Superman line. I’d put that at three. But number one by far would be the DC Direct Cyborg Superman. But I just heard you say it had to be classic versions. So I’d have to go back to that Last Son... Jim Lee would be in a top 6...
I have actually been considering doing a similar list type thing on my channel, but I’d probably go beyond just the classic look if I do my own Superman list on the channel, but for the sake of answer the question of just the classics, I think mine would look something like this: 8. 1980’s Super Powers (it doesn’t meet today’s criteria of what I think makes a good figure, but it’s on the list because it was my first Superman. It was also the only Superman I had until the mid-90s line. 7. 90’s Long-haired Superman (still count as classic?) 6. Jim Lee DC Direct 5. DC Collectibles Animated style 4. NECA Christopher Reeve 3. DC Superheroes 2. Articulated DC Direct 1. DC Essentials (I don’t actually own it yet lol but seeing your review, plus knowing how good the Deathstroke was makes me confident of its placement on the list.
I put the new dc essentials superman head on my dc direct body. For me the dc essentials face is the definitive one and the dc direct body has the best overall look (even with the missing abs).
Brad the DC Universe Geek Can you make DC Icons Superman faces look better? P.S. can you customized DC Essentials Superman to have a fist hand and color his belt.
I'm no good at painting faces yet. When I try it just looks like a cat got sick all over it. XD As for the DC Essential Supes just follow me on Instagram I've got all kinds of pictures of DC Essentials Supes that have been customized. Capes, belt, hands, head, arms. All sorts of mods to a few of them.
Out of all of these, I only currently have the #9 Batman two-pack figure, which was always the closest thing to Christopher Reeve in action figure form, to me, up until NECA and such released actual Reeve Superman figures - which I still need to get. And the #7 DC Direct one, but the version of that figure with the ‘angry’ or determined, face. He currently is my number 1, all-time favorite Superman figure. Because, in all honesty, I didn’t really care for the more placid-looking regular head sculpt. I did also have a Super Powers Superman, growing up. Which I wish I still had. And, I actually really want to get my hands on that brand new Essentials one, as he’s the first one I’ve seen in a long time that doesn’t have a horrendous head sculpt, to me.
I have yet to pick up a classic v of Superman but now that I’ve seen this I’ll pick up the essential version of him...I’m just afraid he’s going to be to big in my 6’ collection because I don’t collect 7’. I really do think the figure is great I’m articulation and detail but his height is the problem for me. If I think he’s to big I might just have to get the dcuc version but he’s not as visually pleasing as the essentials supes
MY favorite is the JUSTICE SERIES SCULPTED BY ALEX ROSS .the symbol on that Action figure is huge and SUPERMAN looks so Life like .as does the rest of them from that series..
Oh man, your #1 pick was a huge letdown. My #1 is the Justice League of America 1: Superman Action Figure. A classic figure, highly detailed and pretty close to perfect.
Rodney That’s why it’s my list and not yours 😉 It’s obvious my #1 is based more from nostalgia. I’ve got a video planned that actually talks about the DCD figures that didn’t make the list and why. I like that JLA Supes though. I prefer the 4 pack version over the single carded one.
Brad, you used logic on me....damn you! 😉 Can't wait to see the video of the ones that didn't make the cut. I hope the New 52 Justice League Superman figure is on it. Despite the horrible New 52 suit, that was a nice figure as well.
As a lifelong Superman fan it really is a shame that so many Superman figures need to be improved upon. I just want that one perfect figure. The Neca Christopher Reeve is my personal favorite, if only the thing wasn't so easily breakable. Pretty much all the others just weren't right in my opinion. Superman is so iconic that it's a shame that companies have such a hard time creating him in action figure form.
Dang son. This has a dark opening. ;) If we MUST talk about it, clearly, what needs to happen is your figures get melted down, and the plastic used to make a coffin that's basically a copy of the Death of Superman coffin. :)
I do not agree with you on this lineup, But I also don't care for articulation. For me the best superman figure's are the kingdom come Alex Ross superman and any Ed Mcguiness Superman. ✌
I really like the Neca Superman from the Muhammad Ali 2 pack. Looked like he was pulled straight from the pages.
I love how Kenner gave Supes his blue eyes.
Thanks for the video man. Been waiting for a top 10 classic supes figures list like forever
DITTO
me too
RIP me I only have the Icons one. so my list is...
1. DC Icons Superman
Obviously.
@Arlo Jon Instablaster =)
@Emiliano Bryson Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process now.
I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Emiliano Bryson It worked and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much, you really help me out :D
@Arlo Jon no problem :)
For classic superman the essentials is my current favorite along with the public enemies supes and new 52 supes. Great video!!
Totally agreed with you! Love your choices!
8:19
Most definitely have to agree with you on that good sir. Christopher Reeve will always be my Superman, he was and always will be the best Superman. Also it is my favorite version of the costume be it on film or television

#2, #6 & #7 are really nice Superman figures ... but your #1 made me lough :)
What about the $255 dc universe classics unreleased Superman u have? That thing looked sick man.
Yup! The Silver age Powder blue aesthetic having one, That's my favorite. I wonder why he never reviews that ??? Nor did it make the Top 10, SUPER WEIRD!
My favorite Superman Figures is Number 5 and Number 6 in your list.
Do u have number 6
Fun Video Keep up the Good work Bro.
Regarding the featured figures, I like the Mattel 2003, DC Direct super articulated and of course the Kenner Super Powers figures the most . Neca's 7" Reeve version is nice but given how brittle their stuff tends to be, it loses a few points.

Great list Brad so many great Superman action figures release over the years !!!
OMG! I have wanted this video for a long time sir :)
Your #1 is great! I use to carry that figure around with me.
I'm completely with you on #1
Loved your video!
I have my personal favorites, but I use a different criteria. I tend to favor the beauty of the scupts over the amount of articulation, and don't like the figure much when the articulation gets in the way of the sculpt. YES!!!!!! Such a great collection!
Great review my top 10 is the 10. Alex Ross super man. 9 . Kingdom Come superman, 8 dc universe classic superman all star. 7. Side show 1:6 scale superman. 6. Neca Christopher Reeve , 5. Mego superman, 4. Beast Kingdom Henry Cavill superman 3. Dc direct infinite crisis superman, 2. Toybiz superman, 1. Super powers superman.
Speaking of Superman, I'm really hoping we get a new figure of the new Bendis Kon-El Superboy
The essentials Superman is amazing- I shortened the arms and ankles making it 6” and now it’s my eternally perfect end-all Superman figure.
Cool vid, keep up the great work.
what about the all star superman figure?, what do you thing about it?
Do you mean the classic suited one or the New52 version?
You forgot one, Ideal's 1966 Captain Action Superman outfit.

I'm shocked there's no DC Superheroes 6 inch Superman figure on the list.
It's the Same as the "Classics" one which is his #5. All of the Classic's started on DC SUPERHEROES cards, @6:49 The one your talking about is on one of the far corners.
Your number one superman was the very first sups I ever got lol with the "C" shaped metal cape clamp around the neck lol
Are you going to do batman?
superman rules! great video...
Dan Where in the list would you put the new superman/alien from Neca?
Hey Brad how do you fix icons supes legs?
Great videooo !!! I have to get dat dc essentials supes !!!
Does the mafex hush Superman debunkers all of those to take the first place?
My favorite would have to be the DC Direct Alex Ross Superman action figure, it stands out so prominently against my other Superman figures. I love how it really captures the heroic presence of the character!
Great list. The Superman I chose for my DC shelf is the DC Multiverse SUPERMAN Dark Knight Returns. I like his chunkiness and just looks to me what Superman should look like. And the Batman looks good next to him. P.S. his loops are painted ; )
What podium is that???? :o
Hey Mateo, I believe the Gold figure _podium_ comes w/ The Silver-age Supes boxed set. Funny Brad never mentioned that. Cause I remember on A stream once, he talked about how he loves it for like 20mnts straight..
I might get that Essentials if I see it at a good price. I don't have actually ANY superman figures at the moment.
Great list - I have most of these in my collection myself!
I notice that the cape length varies in relation to the figure size. Is there in fact a length that should be universal or not?
Please do a tutorial on how to fix the crotch on the dc icons superman
Great list
This really need a new update ❤
My favorite Superman figure from comics is DC essentials and my favorite sups from movie is DC films Superman figure (it's almost as good as a hot toy)

great top 10 list man
10.dark knight returns superman
9.public enemies superman
8.dc multiverse super friends superman
7.dc direct superman
6.dc direct jla superman
5.hush superman
4.dc icons superman
3.last son superman
2.dc super heroes superman
1.history of the dc universe superman!
Jup! The History of the DCU line has more than A couple of good figs! It's A Really Great line. One of the all-time Best.
And A Good comic series as well. Ya get A really nice over-sized GN Version- w/ the Wolfman & Pereź CRISIS boxed-set.
DC Direct has my favorite face-sculpt. It’s like a little bit Dan Jurgens but with a Bogdonave-ish chin.
When I die, I told my wife and family that I want my ashes inside my collectibles shown in display cases. E.g. hot toys batmobile.
Jorel Lonesome your dignity has left the chat
I wish there was a 2023 version of this video. I want to find a good classic superman figure and don’t know where to start. The Superman Hush from Magee is really expensive

#3 has my favorite superman head sculpt. It's the head that forced me to buy a dremel to put on the super friends body.
Is that similar to the Showcase Superman fig ??
Showcase Presents Superman would be my no.1. Can't beat a Silver Age Curt Swan based figure with 3 alternate heads.
Yup! That's an Easy Top 10. Where ya can reenact some of the classic Silver age Covers!

3. DC Superheroes
2. Articulated DC Direct
1. DC Essentials (I don’t actually own it yet lol but seeing your review, plus knowing how good the Deathstroke was makes me confident of its placement on the list.
#7 is my favorite.
I put the new dc essentials superman head on my dc direct body. For me the dc essentials face is the definitive one and the dc direct body has the best overall look (even with the missing abs).
Your number 1.. really wjats up with the cape around his neck
Great list . Why does no one ever put black suit movie masters man of steel movie super man on their list ?
You should do more top 10s!
Brad the DC Universe Geek Can you make DC Icons Superman faces look better?
P.S. can you customized DC Essentials Superman to have a fist hand and color his belt.

Love #3 and the one that comes with an alien and a lion head
i wish to mattel make the redition vintage superpowers 4" inch
Customised Neca Chris Reeve, you say.....? Video, please!
my favorite will always be my Mezco Classic Superman
MY favorite is the JUSTICE SERIES SCULPTED BY ALEX ROSS .the symbol on that Action figure is huge and SUPERMAN looks so Life like .as does the rest of them from that series..
1:45
O you will be happy when you see the mafex Superman hush
Oh man, your #1 pick was a huge letdown. My #1 is the Justice League of America 1: Superman Action Figure. A classic figure, highly detailed and pretty close to perfect.

The most interesting entry on the list for me was number 10. I've never seen it before.
cool video
I agree on the dc icons Superman figure but the only one I have now is the dc universe classics Version with my justice league
I love the dc essentials
As a lifelong Superman fan it really is a shame that so many Superman figures need to be improved upon. I just want that one perfect figure. DC Direct Alex Ross Justice 1 has to be my no. 1. Then DC Icons then DC Essentials
Awww, NECA Chris Reeves. It burns. I had a guy selling me that thing and he flaked and nabbed my money. :(
Damn...seriously
The first appearance by reaction Funko line
I know it wasn't out yet when you recorded this, but McFarlane Action Comics 1000 Superman!
I just got a Silver age superman figure today
#2 yeah!
I still hope Neca can release the Alien Superman two pack
#4 Yes!
Do one for Batman
Superman essentials is the best superman figure ever
Superpowers were such great figures.
my favorite dc direct alex ross superman from justice
Can you do something like this for Batman?
I really like my McFarlane toys multiverse action comics 1000 Superman!!!
#1 WHHHHAT!
THEY ARE TRUNKS!
Neca Superman Aliens two pack is the best
Tinkering with a figure ruins it.
Na sua opinião é claro!
I do not agree with you on this lineup, But I also don't care for articulation. For me the best superman figure's are the kingdom come Alex Ross superman and any Ed Mcguiness Superman. ✌
