I’d be interested to see it. If you could DM me the link in Instagram just so I don’t forget that would be rad. I’d love to watch it. I bet you have some really great choices.
Good list Brad. For me I really liked the DC essentials figures, particularly Superman, though the it’s not perfect, I still like it. The head sculpts for all the figures so far have been awesome in that each one captures the character’s personality in some way.
Aquaman and Batman almost made my list this year but just barely missed out. Aquaman had excellent sculpting detail and paint colour choice and Batman had a great cape and headsculpt.
In terms of DC figures for 2018 I’d have to say the Multiverse Superman impressed me the most. I’ve been waiting years for Mattel to finally update their articulation and they finally did it and flawlessly in my opinion. The new hips are fantastic and modern, the double jointed knees are great and I can’t wait for the ankle pivots. I hope one day we finally get double jointed elbows and heads on a ball hinge joint.
Nice list! Do want to get the Essentials Superman, he looks good and seems very posable, hope the qc is good. My favorite figure by far this year is a figure that just came out, Multiverse Signature Collection Wonder Woman, love how spot on the face sculpt is in likeness to Lynda Carter, great articulation and love the included stand. Hope you do a review on her soon!
Multiverse Superman is best. One of the best action figures ever made. Can't wait to see the kingdom come Supes. Also that sweater is the best goofy sweater I've ever seen.
Good list man. I've got some of them too I love Batfleck but I have the BvS regular suit version I know it's quite a but different but couldn't justify buying that however I've got the Mafex Tactical Suit Batman and it's an awesome figure too probably on par with the regular suit version
It looks like a really high quality figure. I just never picked it up because the tactical suit just didn’t do it for me. Not that it’s a bad suit, it’s just not my cup of tea.
Brad The DC Universe Geek yeah man the Goggles took bit of getting used to although I'm tempted to get the Bruce Wayne they're doing has the head for that minus the Goggles if I do that'll be the head I use.
I got da Robin figure n thought it looked great, did little custom paint job on it, light and up da green n added more red, also want da Riddler from da same figure line, looks great with da traficant green
Just got the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman figure and I like it a lot. I'm more of a Marvel Legends guy and I'm also poor so she is the only DC figure I got this year. I take that back. I got Super Friends Aquaman, Batman, Superman and Green Lantern, the Clayface wave Twoface and Claface himself. And I got Dr. Psycho, DK2 Wonder Woman and all of the DK figures or did they come out last year ?
My top five are all DC Essentials in this order: 1. Deathstroke 2. Batman 3. Reverse Flash 4. Superman 5. Aquaman Yes, would've loved more accessories, especially extra hands for all of them, but they are just awesome figures! Can't wait for Nightwing, Wonder Woman, Lantern and Supergirl. Wish list for future releases from this line: Darkseid, Redhood, Batwoman , Huntress, Dr. Fate and Hawkman.
Jonathan Navarro definitely need a Batwoman in this scale. Be cool to get the new version of Red Hood that's in the comics although any version would be great!
Jonathan Navarro I’ve really been enjoying the Essentials line. I’ve managed to grab up all of them and the accompanying Doomsday Clock figures. The only one that has left a bitter taste in my mouth is Brainiac because he is so sloppy and wiggly. I’m pretty stoked for the upcoming Essentials.
Brad The DC Universe Geek I've got half of them Batman, Deathstroke, Superman and Brainiac. Really like them all Wasn't too bothered with Flash, Aquaman and Black Manta as I'm happy enough with my other versions of them I have may go back get Reverse Flash as I don't have a comic version. Although the next waves may get all of them!
Brad The DC Universe Geek I heard the Essentials 2018 line was having some QC issues so I go to my local comic book shop to pick up that line and see if they are up to par quality-wise. My Brainiac was pretty much perfect, but I’ve seen some pretty bad QC. Hopefully that’s the last of that bad quality.
I still need JL Wonder Woman and Aquaman. They are the only 2 I don’t have. I’m sure they would have made it on my list if I had them. That’s the League I’ve been most excited to complete.
Ignoring price, if you had to choose between the DC Multiverse Signature Coll. JWS Flash or the Mafex JL Flash which would you get? Obviously the latter has more articulation & details otherwise while the former has the more classic old school Flash look.
I have the mafex Batman and really enjoy it. I also bought the tactical which I would say was better but sadly his left arm was broken out of the box and his joints are pretty loose. Definitely a let down but it is a amazing figure if you can find a good one.
Stephen Reid Time sure flies, Stephen! One second your 5 years old playing with your Super Powers Collection and then the next you’re scrambling to get a zillion videos done in 2018 and then it almost all done. I feel like this year has been a marathon. Lol.
Great top 5! Mine didn’t include the Yamaguchi Batman because the cape was an immediate removal for me and the shoulders bother me. He would have been on a top 30 for me. I like his sculpting detail and paint deco.
That Mezco WW reminds me the little girl in the old Pepsi commercials. Lol. Is not the size of the head, is the shape that bothers me. It is round as a balloon.
Hmmmm, gotta disagree with the King of DC re: (1) the Signature Collection Kilmer Batman as no likeness to the actor & that head sculpt proportions being also too small for the body which was a disappointment for me & (2) the Mezco Wonder Woman which has no articulation, huge head (as you noted) & proportions look more like Amazon (rather than Wonder) Woman. My top 5 from top to bottom (several of which are on your list) would be: (1) Multiverse Sig. Collection Lynda Carter Wonder Woman (an amazing looking fig. with a very cool retro vibe that trumps the much higher priced imports) (2) Mezco Deluxe Joker (also a candidate for No. 1) (3) Mafex 060 Justice League Wonder Woman (the best of the imports for Gal Gadot WW) (4) Multiverse Sig. Collection Flash (another cool looking retro fig.) (5) Essentials Superman. Unfortunately had a hard time coming up with more than 5 worthy of recognition. Thanks for sharing your list as always interesting to view & for your GREAT coverage of all DC figs otherwise.
VNISHPT 70 Good list. I must say I feel the opposite about Val Kilmers noodle. I feel like it’s actually a bit too big as oppose to too small. Thanks for sharing your list though. I was hoping people would. 👍🙂
@@BradTheDCUniverseGeek Thanks, I'll take another look @ the Kilmer Batman next time I run across it in store. Just did not do much for me when I was considering purchasing but I'm more of an Adam West Batman guy. Mattel really nailed the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman IMO so hopefully will be a big enough hit for them to invest more in the Signature Collection line. In addition to the upcoming Signature Collection Batman Returns Penguin, would love to see a 60s Batman & Riddler, 89 Batman, Joker & V. Vale, Batman Returns Catwoman, Batman Forever Two Face & Robin, & a Reeve Superman in the line. Happy Holidays & take it easy....
Noooooo! Side by side the bootleg is not really comparable. Those bootleg Mafex BvS figures were trash. Just save up and give the company who actually designed the figure your money. It’s worth it in the end.
Spoiling a surprise. I sent a gift through Amazon. They used UPS. UPS won’t deliver to a PO Box. They need a physical addy or it goes back to Amazon. I guess they blew that Christmas gift. ☹️
Yikes. OK. I’m not sure how I would go about that. Flattered you sent a gift and so sorry UPS won’t deliver to PO Box. If you send me tracking info maybe it’s at my local depot. Just DM it to me in Instagram. That’s my least clogged avenue of communication.
I know. I had her subbed in for years as a stand in. I was surprised she wasn’t part of the signature collection. She was too big and had really limited articulation and just generally didn’t fit in with them very well. I didn’t say she was the only Batwoman Figure ever, just the first by Mattel to go with the DCUC/Multiverse figures. Admittedly I like the fact her boots are actually sculpted in comparison to the Multiverse which are only painted.
Nothing to do with this, but I hope Hot toys gives us A black manta 1/6 scale figure. Good list.
Love the JL MAFEX figures! I need that flash cyborg and BATMAN
The cyborg is really prone to breaking so be careful
I intend to do a Top 10 or so video as well, and at least one of the Aquaman Movie figures will be on it.
I’d be interested to see it. If you could DM me the link in Instagram just so I don’t forget that would be rad. I’d love to watch it. I bet you have some really great choices.
No problem, will do!

Multiverse Superman is best. One of the best action figures ever made. Can't wait to see the kingdom come Supes. Also that sweater is the best goofy sweater I've ever seen.
ricky todd Botelho I’m pretty excited for that Kingdom Come version too. I got the Supes sweater at Winners. Winners for the Win!

Ooh top 20, nice one. May 2019 bring us better DC figures, amen.
Not as in May 2019, but may 2019.
I gotcha! 😉

@@BradTheDCUniverseGeek It's hard to believe I only started collecting 'for real' this year...!
The thing that gets me every year is when I look back at the horde of figures I end up accumulating in one year of collecting.
Now it’s the end of 2019
Where do I get me one of those Christmas sweaters?
Winners. They have a rack of DC, Star Wars and other pop culture ugly Christmas Sweaters.
@@BradTheDCUniverseGeek you the man! Thank you!
Mine...1. Mafex JL Batman , 2. Mafex JL Tactical Suit Batman, 3. Mezco One:12 Ascending Knight Batman, 4. Amazing Yamaguchi Batman and 5. PAK JL Tactical Suit Batman.
Great top 5! Mine didn’t include the Yamaguchi Batman because the cape was an immediate removal for me and the shoulders bother me. He would have been on a top 30 for me. I like his sculpting detail and paint deco.
that is one heck of a sweater btw
True Story!!!! Even my wife wears it.
Is that actually a knitted sweater, or is it a screen print on a sweatshirt?
Alan Russette It’s an actual sweater. I picked it up at Winners. They have a bunch of DC and Pop culture sweaters there.
@@BradTheDCUniverseGeek Since I'm in Canada, too, there's some hope that there might be one left around if I go searching!

I really love the LC Wonder Woman!
man i am so agree with number 1, damn still the best figure i have so far
Dc essentials Superman? You weren’t kidding with your bias lol....otherwise good list
My top favorite would have to be the Batman Beyond from Mezco.
cmbrock1 It looks like a rad figure. Unfortunately it’s one of the figures I haven’t picked up yet. Haven’t had the money for it.

Mafex JL Batman is the BEST Mafex figures ever made. It is highly recommended
I was going to make a top 10 list but it didn't work well
Mezco joker would have been my top pick.
Nikhil Kumar It’s a really great figure so I can see why. When making this video I had it out of the package and had began the review process for it.
5:54 my favorite sups figure
I find that the justice league Mafex Batman is a little too expensive, even at its retail price. Great Figure though.
Get the bootleg
You get what you pay for I'd say also the tactical suit versions goes for around 60 bucks on amiami
