  • Ross is a boulder and lead climber on Team USA and you may be familiar with his TH-cam channel where he documents his climbing adventures and shares coaching tips. In this episode, we'll learn about his bikepacking adventure that he skipped the first half of the 2024 world cup season for, hear about his struggle trying to balance competitions with his desire to travel and all his other hobbies, the importance of mindset and meditation, and if you're a USA bay area gym climber, maybe close your ears when he starts trashing the bay area gym scene. This episode is full of training and mindset tips!

This deserves wayyy more views. The level of advice towards climbing and becoming goal oriented is an amazing balance to not becoming too serious and hard on yourself when compared to just having fun and a great experience.

Appreciate it!! I definitely think he has a really interesting and unique perspective on climbing and competing. I think a lot of the climbers at his level dedicate their entire lives to the sport, so I find it extremely impressive that he is able to stay competitive while still exploring all of his other hobbies. Something to learn from for sure!

Totally agree there is a lot of good stuff in here. It's just good stuff you see in every single other climbing podcast that has this same format (of which there are many). I honestly don't know how many more times I can listen to someone talk about meditation, mindfullness, and being goal-oriented...

Spot on about gyms catering to intermediate levels. The Boulderfield is by far head and shoulders ahead of any gym I've been too.

Wow, compared to all gyms you've been to or do you mean in the bay only? I went there once for a comp so didn't really get to experience much of the regular gym set
