I so love your skirt fabric. I may let myself buy some... I am fascinated by the Singer hand crank machine beside you. I learnt to sew on my Mothers machine when I was a teenager, and it was exactly the same. Do you use it? I remember the beautiful stitch quality and wish my modern Janome was as good. The only problem was only having one hand to guide the fabric
Hi ☺️ it’s such beautiful fabric 💖 I have used the singer for some projects such as leather. My favorite vintage machine is my Bernina record 830, it sews anything with no problems at all ☺️💖
Hi ☺️ yes they were sewed on the machine. My modern machine doesn’t work well (the fabric gets sucked into feed dogs) but my vintage Bernina record 830 sees tiny things with no problem at all ☺️
Lovely skirt. Perfect combo of pattern and fabric. That red headed doll, though - I am obsessed! What kind of doll is it ? Is it custom also? Love the vlog!

I loved your skirt,the fabric is gorgeous.When I use elastic in a waistband or just back waistband it folds over.What elastic do you use and do you have any tips? The pattern weights are a really brilliant idea
Thanks Maureen ☺️💖 yes I often topstitch over the elastic to stop it from twisting by sewing 3 rows of topstitch (you have to stretch it whilst you topstitch so it keeps its elasticity). Sometimes the elastic stretches a little after you have topstitched but a shot of steam from the iron soon sorts it out x
I love what you have made and am seriously considering getting the skirt pattern as I do love waist bands with elastic... (I must confess LOL). I have been trying to find the lady on Ebay who made your little doll but she has nothing for sale, is this the right link you have posted?
