Thanks for letting us know all the likes and dislikes of your projects. It really helps me plan my sewing. For instance, I probably wouldn’t have tried the denim skirt, even though I thought it was adorable. But I clicked on the pattern link and saw it on a larger girl, and loved it! I also never thought of making a turban before. But I sure am now! I liked your ideas on different ways to present them. Thanks.
I love your skirts. Very pretty. Those hats are lovely though I couldn't wear them! They would make me look like an old wife in the 40's!! However, they look fabulous on you. Knickers are so easy to make. I've made lots in different fabrics and they are much cheaper than shop bought ones. That stretch lace is beautiful. It would be nice on a matching bra as well.
Lovely makes, I love the skirt and think I'll add it to my list to buy! One little comment: it'd be nice if you could add a photo of you wearing the garments as you talk about them so we can see how they look on. I know there's one in the thumbnail but it's a bit small :)
Loved your makes. The elastic is stunning and doesn't look like elastic.I agree I would love a tutorial, please. With the Wear Lemonade Farah top why not open the waist tie and cut it open up the centre and make self turned button plackets. If the back neck is still too big I'd make small pleats. This would take in the neck but keep the flow of the blouse.By making it a button up front you could use it as a blouse or lightweight fabric cardi.
I have been trying to look good in certain patterns that others just shine in. I really love the look of the wear lemonade pattern as others have made it. But. It is a matter of knowing what I like, what feels good on me and my body. Especially true for wide necked garments. Others look great in them but when I try I just look slouchy and older than I am. Which is not so great at 66. So I am trying to think a loooong time before I purchase a pattern as I have made too many mistakes and given too many garments away. I LOVE your skirt remake. Nice going on all your makes. I always m are sure to watch your videos.
Hi Mel I have added the plus symbols below as on another channel the person asked us to do this as the TH-cam algorithm recognises it as a signal to promote channel, no words necessary. I have no clue but thought I would do it here. Maybe others subscribers here can too...it might help promote your brilliant channel- I hope so! The skirt is stunning on you. Xxx
Love your makes, it's such a shame about the Farah top, I also have this problem with Wear Lemonade patterns, I think we both have small frames. I hope you find a way of salvaging it because the fabric and the way it drapes is lovely. xx
I loved everything! I've been refashioning some dresses I found at the thrift. Loving all my new skirts. But now I need more elastic. I hope all I come out of the fabric store with is elastic, lol. Beautiful makes 👗👚👒
Very inspiring makes! I fell in love with the rose gold waistband and now want to copy what you did :-) How did you attached the elastic please? Any chance of a tutorial please? Many thanks.
Hi Mel great video as always. I just love the skirts and hats, not sure about the dress though. Can’t wait to see the mini haberdashery - my friend gave me a doll’s house for my granddaughters and they have decided they want a haberdashery shop downstairs so I will be keen to get some tips. Thanks as always Mel for a fabulous posting. Big hugs and loves xxxxxx Dorothy 🙋🏻😘❤️🌟
Thanks Mel. I have some of that type of elastic for waist bands, but I haven't found a method for join the elastic in the round or joining the elastic to the garment that I am pleased with. Yours look so neat, would you share your method?
Loved the skirt with the rose gold wait and. How did you do that. Did you gather the skirt and then stretch out the elastic and sew the gathered skirt to it?
Love the turbans 💕 Am I correct in thinking you sewed a wax jacket/coat? I've been trying to go through your archive but can't find anything. I'd like to make a wax jacket and would like to watch the video before I start 🤗

The skirts are really pretty. You must rescue that top - the fabric is lovely, and I think the sleeve design will look great on you.
Thankyou I definitely get more wear out of skirts ☺️ I’ll hopefully fix that top soon x
