I love how you just let your daughter do her thing and mimic you. She sounds like she looks up to you a lot! So sweet! Love your channel!
I don't. I couldn't pay attention over any of it
That's kids for ya!
I love how shes realistically admit to the extra facial treatment she got unlike others Hollywood celebrity
Exactly! It's not realistic for to say, well, I moisturize and use SPF. Any derm I've watched on youtube says the same thing: you need a combination of things to age as gracefully as you can.
Ull always have an open answer from me- no shame in this game
I thought your skin is so pretty (actresses and celebs) and most of them are due to not cosmetics. You look at yourself in the mirror and think 🙄
@@smokingduckgraves Make sure you do what works best for you (your budget, schedule, lifestyle). This is what works best for Dr. Idriss because, as she explains, her life is very hectic, so if she doesn't set aside the time to do her nighttime skincare the minute she gets home from work, she might not do it all. If doing your skincare closer to when you go to bed and after having brushed your teeth works best for you, stick with that! :)
@@ManUntdForever actually what she says makes sense. I do it before going to bed and maybe half of it stays in my pillow. I’ll try her way!!!
"I love this bathroom. It is so beautiful!" 🤣 She is SO precious and she has excellent taste. Don't you love how they imitate us?
❤️❤️❤️
I couldn’t agree more!! She is precious
I love how she’s sticking to the basic and prescription products, not like 4 kinds of toners and olive oil. I also love her transparency when it comes to getting medical procedures done.
Transparency except for the under eye filters lmao
The patience of this woman🥇 What a wonderful mother❤️
What is Shereene doing on Mimi's channel?
best best best😋
Lmao 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ no clue
LOL SO TRUE
Ha ha ha !!!
😆😆
man.. I am a mom, to a 6 year old, and honestly, this video was hilarious to watch, like, Yes, this is the life of a working mom, the ability to push through and try to finish a thought while your kid is relentlessly conversing to herself beside you.
I didn't care for it. It was distracting and hard to pay attention when you're trying to hear over a kid screaming in the background
Then watch a different video🙄 it’s really not THAT bad of a distraction..I had no issue watching and understanding the video
@@nicoleayala4153 wow can't even comment a different thought these days without people getting upset? Also I learn differently than you obviously. I feel that if someone is trying to teach something to others there shouldn't be distractions around. Maybe others have a hard time learning when there are. There's no need for you to get all upset because someone learns differently than you
@Jackie's Obsession what's wrong with stating a different opinion? Sorry that I learn differently than you! And yes it is about me if I'm watching something and trying to learn something I didn't know before. If someone is teaching something to someone, all distractions should be clear. Everyone learns differently. I have a hard time learning when there are distractions. Also we are allowed to comment opinions that may be different than others, but I see everyone gets offended easily these days
@@palestar828 you’re miserable asf
I love that you didn’t push away your child, I’m a mom of three children and this looks like (sort of) what a mom’s live is, thank you for reminding us that no matter how tired we are we need to take care of us!!
absolutely, well said. you can just tell how much she cares for her child, and how loved her child must feel. this is so important for the child's mental health and wellbeing as a future adult
Which is cream forehead wrinkle?
It's very distracting for the video
I loved the little voice trying to copy mom. So cute! Lol!
Right? They are freakin' everywhere :D
2 years later but... damn I was so suprised, how you act as a Mum. Patiently, calm... understanding, this is so amazing to see, to watch that is even more interessting than the actual topic of the video.
The world needs more Mums like you x)
Amen!! That's what got me to subscribe to her channel!! This is my first video that I've seen of her and I was like I'm SOLD!! 😢
I have never thought of doing my nighttime skincare routine right after I get home. It makes so much sense to do it that way! Thank you, great tip!
This is one of the most realistic videos of a mom doing her skin care. Absolutely love it. Super cute and informative.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This woman has the patience of a saint 😂
Literally every mom. You have to when you have kids!!
@@chandracox6814 Was just gonna say this, you don't have a choice as a parent 😂
She does. But she shouldn't expect everyone else to have it. I am 1 min into the vid and the kid's shreaks have already annoyed me to no end. It is impossible to make sense of what he says with this noise and interruptions.
@@MsMilagrita Sounds like this just isn't the channel for you then, unless you want to mute it and rely on auto captions.
@@MsMilagrita so you have an issue with a real mum and doctor.. giving you advise about skincare.. from her home with her children? 🤔 Would you prefer advise from a doctor that doesn’t have children or for the doctor to lock said children away whilst she’s filming content for you? 🤦🏼♂️😂
When you whispered “She’s back.” 🤣
I felt that so much lol
“She’s back..” I could see the fear in your eyes 🤣
I LOL’ed
she is smart like mama
Rewatching this because i just got my a313. And i feel this comment so much...so so much
😂
I adore the little girl! Totally humanizes this Mom.
I bet your daughter is going to have a really good skincare routine when she is older 🙈 love how informative your videos are 🙏🏻
Thank you!
Also, her son too. She has two kids.
@@shereeneidriss hello doctor. My 5 year old is showing signs of black and white heads on her nose already, which i had growing up too. When is a good age to start a skincare routine? Is 5 too early?
@@GardenMinistry. You should wait until she’s at least a tween before you even consider incorporating active ingredients into her routine. The only thing you should be putting on her is a mineral based sunscreen. Don’t project societies beauty standards onto her at such a young age.
@@Whatever-hy3dd it's not societies beauty standards, people with acne suffer emotionaly and phychology because of it. I had acne since I was 11, I'm 20 now and still have it (thankfully never cistic acne) and that affected me a lot a society had nothing to do with it.
It's what for very light skin people would be to get sunburn and go around looking like a tomatoe but all year around for years of your life... not fun
Can you talk about body skincare pls? What does actually work for body skin?
I didn't know that micellar water + cleanser already counts as double cleansing! I have been doing this for years and was worried that I would need the extra step of another cleanser, but apparently it works fine!
Could you please do an overview of your weekly skincare routine and how you space out the use of various retinoids and acids?
Great question, hope she does a video on this!
I love how you didn't get irritated or annoyed by your daughter ❤
Could you do a video talking about at home skincare technology like Nuface, PMD, and Foreo?
Yes!
Yes ! LED therapy and IPL devices too
"She's back" killed me 😂
With her stool 😂
"Taking over the voice over because my daughter is..screaming at this point"😆😆😂😂
Shout out to all the moms out there who've been patient with us the whole time♥️♥️
dr. shereene: ... if you jump straight to the couch, you're never going to wash your face until midnight..
me, watching this on couch after work: hUH??
Me watching this video close to midnight 🤦🏻♀️ oop it’s been a long day
@@alexandraawww don’t forget to wash your face! 😂
🤣🤣🤣
😅🤣...same...🙄
I added the vitamin A to my nighttime routine.. and I have to say that my skin LOVES IT!! I don’t have to exfoliate anymore to get my skin smooth. My skin isn’t textured anymore.. now that I’m using that! Thank you !!
What brand of vitamin A are you using?
Please, do tell the brand! 🥸
That's such a good point, to let it sink in before rubbing off on the pillow!
I was always wondering about that as my head hit the pillow. I used the palm of my hand to keep it on my face. That probably lasted until I fell asleep. 😆 This is do much better!
I just love you. I am 63 with no education in skincare. I don’t always get the right answers from my Dermatologist. I find your videos interesting, educational, but most of all humorous. P.s. your daughter is very cute.
This video is hilarious. Obviously I 100% appreciate the information, but having your daughter in this is complete entertainment. I am well beyond the years of having little ones and have grandchildren now, so it always makes me giggle. PS another great sweater!
As a mother of 3, I looveeee how you include your daughter in this video and not instead make another one...😂😂😂 your videos are all so honest and I trully love ‘em 💜💜💜
You’re reading my mind!!!!! I was just wondering why can’t I find a good video on double cleansing from a dermatologist 😂 💕 love love love this!!!
Thank you!!!
Can i just say: Your videos saved my skin. I have watched like WAYYYYYYYY too many but so worth it. Simplicity is KEY
I really enjoy how short and informative your videos are! I've been double cleansing for years and it really does make a difference. I would just love to see more people use reusable cotton pads for makeup removal etc, I have some made out of bamboo and they are so soft, it's unreal and better for the environment. Have a lovely weekend
Love that you mention neck care as it’s become more of a focus as I’m approaching my mid-30’s! So glad to discover your channel 🥰🧴💖
thank you so much for making videos dr. shereene!!!!! you’ve helped me so much with learning what’s good for my own skin and i finally started seeing a dermatologist to help me with my acne and PIH. only started seeing her in november and already seeing some subtle but positive differences in my skin! love you, your videos, and your adorable daughter sm. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!! ❤️❤️
Its my biggest pleasure!!!
I can’t help but appreciate the little Princess’ subtle Lebanese Accent when she said “beautiful” 7ilwaaaa 🥰🥰
I'm so glad I read this. I thought it was me just hearing it because of her accent. It is so adorable
LOL I love how she says beautiful
My thoughts exactly!
I was trying to figure out where she is from, although she sounds a little French to me, you are probably right though, I don't know the accent well.
So happy to see my beloved bioderma is Dr Shereene approved 😌❤️
Wow, this is revolutionary to me, the choice to do one’s nighttime skincare routine as soon as they get home. I need to try this, especially since I also shower every morning. (It seems like everyone showers at night in skincare youtube.)
I LOVED having your precious daughter in the video-I know it can be hard/exhausting/etc but they really are little miracles and grow up SO fast 💕
Your daughter is the cutest thing. Love how you just let her be with you. She loves you and looks up to you so much. What a great video! And the info re: the products & your routine was lovely too. :) :)
Please share more about your sculptra treatments. Very curious. Been thinking of getting it myself.
Will do!
I love the little anonymous hand rising up into the frame holding moisturizer. My spirit animal.
I would love to hear your thoughts about maskne. My face has really struggled and my tretinoin doesn’t help anymore.
I second this. 🙏
“One person’s trash is another person’s treasure” 🤣🤣🤣
Lol 😆 yes that’s how I feel at the thrift store every time !
I love this..Dermatologists are just like normal people, lol! I've learned so much from your channel, I'm getting that Differin this weekend for my spots!
🙌 keep us posted
What a precious daughter you have... she talks so lovely!!! Love the video - you and your daughter are such a cute duo!!
I’m guilty of going straight to my couch after I come home...pre-covid of course, now I’m practically always on the couch 😬😬😬
Been follow since your very first vid! Every time I feel too tired for nighttime skin care I hear you in my head “consistency is the key, guys”! Hahahah! Thank you for doing these vids., I truly appreciate them! I also see a derm since I’ve followed you and it’s helped tremendously!
Shereene, I've been loving your content since your daily routine video with Allure. You have an international audience and I would really LOVE if you would provide alternative brands especially for over the counter products or tell us what to look for so e can find our own replacements. You are awesome! Please never stop being down to earth and genuine once you become a TH-cam guru (which I am sure you will).
6:42 this part was too adorable and funny! 😂😂❤
Aye Dios Mio! Mimi is so Adorable....I love your Bathroom! I stopped washing my face in the morning and started just rinsing with cold water which of course I learned from you. And now I will start getting my Night Routine done as soon as I get home! Thank you! #skincaregodmomma 🥰🙏🌺
Love that you kept your daughter with you even though she was a bit distracting.
I remember spending time watch my mum do her make as a kid. ❤️
You're such a good mommy! My mother always removed her makeup and washed her face every night. By the time I was 12 I followed her routine. I never had any acne and lovely skin now. (I'm 50) I always say it's because my Mother modeled good skin care habits.
Where have you been all my life?! I feel like I’ve been wasting SO much money on skincare and allll the products lately only to be sensitive and so consistently break out lately. This was super helpful, thank you!
Very impressed how your skin can tolerate 3 active substances (hydroquinone, azelaic acid and vitamin A) in the same routine! I am lucky if I can use 2 per day and not damage my skin barrier (been there once while using azelaic acid in the morning and avené's retinAL in the evening).
I love your videos because they calm me down. When I watch videos from other dermatologists, there is too much information at once and I get really nervous: D. You explain one step at a time and this makes you easy to follow.
Another correction to my skin care thanks to you! I put my skincare on as I am falling asleep in between products. Your daughter to sooooo cute 💖. I am 55 and am dealing with acne scars and skin discoloration from too many hours laying in the sun as a teen! You have given so much great info but I am still not sure what is going to best for me. Definitely don’t have sensitivity issues.
I bought everything you suggested in quite a few videos. I love the way you break products down pros and cons. Very informative. Waiting for your product(the set) to become available online. I’m on the waiting list. Hopefully, they will be back in stock soon! Thank you!
I love watching your videos, as you always offer such great skin advice! I would love to see a video on diet and the skin, and what are the best foods to get optimal skin. Also, I would love a video on what products you suggest a person in their late teens to early 20s should use.
I would love to see both of these videos too!
I'd love a video about the treatments you have had and your thoughts on them! You look very natural and I've seen in another video of you treating a patient that you put emphasis on a more natural look.
Honestly, I freaked out when I saw your hands until you said it's sunscreen!!
Honestly I wasn't watching you but ENJOYING your daughter. I am rewatching all because of her ❤😊
Can you speak about product layering? I’m always weary of using Acids and retinol together. I saw that you used a mask with an acid, azelaic acid, and a retinol. Would love to know about how often you use them and which combinations do not work well together.
The only routine I can trust, I love that you are honest and well elaborated. Thanks
She’s so adorable I love this!
😍😍😍😍
What a lovely daughter, and of course a brilliant mother.
My favourite lady dropped a video!! 😃
Excited me (also busy working-out) decided to drop a comment, and watch later. 😊
I loved Mimi (she's really cute) , and I love you Dr. Shereen Idriss.. ❤❤
Get that workout in!!!!!!! And thank you 😍
@@shereeneidriss haha yes, I'm more diligent at working-in than out, especially at present. With a holistic approach to skincare (now that I have you) and clean-eating, I feel real good! Thank you for all these, my skincare routine has never been so scientific 😊❤🙏🇮🇳
The La Roche Posay moisturizer she's using is the best thing I've tried, seriously it made my skin felt 10 years younger when I first tried it.
I am so scared of using hydroquinone because of all the bad publicity surrounding cancer risk, rebound pigmentation etc ... especially as I have olive skin. Could you please post a video just concentrating on this one ingredient to clear up all the confusion.
Noted
I am between a 3 and 4 on the pigmentation scale. I've been using Obaji hydroquinone blend and I've noticed my hyperpigmentation getting darker on the forehead and above the eyebrows. I'm going to stop. Is it because of my skin tone? I'm Lebanese too.
In the video you make addressing hydroquinone and hyperpigmentation please warn people about c02 lasers and the risk of hyperpigmentation after. It can turn into melasma and the hydroquinone won't fix it. Makes it come back or darker.
As a mom I love how you just so casually went with the interruptions 😂
It's annoying. How can you concentrate on the video with a kid yelling?
I don't. It is simply irritating and shows isrespect to the viewer.
“Disrespect to the viewer” ma’am this is TH-cam😂😂 you are not her patient and this is not a personal one on one derm appointment. Don’t choose to be so miserable 🙄
I swear your daughter is EVERYTHING! She's the cutest cupcake I've ever seen hahaha❤❤❤🌹😂 and funny as hellllll lolll
I bought that Differin gel several months ago and admittedly, didn't know when to use it. Thanks for showing me.
Way to soldier through that helper in the bathroom Shereene. Man I don't miss those busy times.
I’m so happy I found you. Your little girl is adorable
Please do a video for acne prone skin 😔
I think she already has one
Thanks for sharing your routine. And the voice over was appreciated! 😂
I tried lol
I relate to this nighttime routine SO MUCH. My 3.5 year old “helps” with mine too 🤣❤️
I have to say that there is just nothing more attractive in this world than a good mother... : ). Cheers from Canada and being a registered psychiatric nurse myself I appreciate the quality of information and the professionalism of your video's very much.
I love, love, love how real Dr. Idriss is in her videos! And, I love the advice, too!
Omg this is so cute, fun and informative. I love that Shereene is so relatable. I used to watch Dr Dray and am really grateful for her advice. But man she is otherworldly
Do you mean the yoga? I also like dr dray but I'm a Christian and yoga is of the enemy. So is that what you mean? Just curious.
Can you do a video about how to control hormonal acne? (without taking birth control pills, which are to help the hormonal acne) ❤️
👌🏼👏🏼 great idea
i'd love to see this! i have hormonal acne and it's so hectic trying to get it under control
My dermatologist and gynocologist said its not worth increasing the cancer risk.
Love the little one and her input was extraordinary
I loveeee watching your videos you’re my fav dermatologist!! ❤️ Can you please please do a rosacea friendly nighttime skin care routine video? There are so many products/recommendations out there it gets overwhelming (i.e. niacinamide over Vit. C, toner is a no no, azelaic acid is amazing for reasons I’m not sure, forget retinol unless you wana look like a tomato) ahhhh I’m just out here approaching 30 trying to improve my rosacea/reduce signs of aging so my 50 y/o self can thank me. I genuinely value your expertise and would sooo appreciate your pillow talk guidance 😊❤️!
I just found your videos yesterday randomly and I'm already obsessed with pillowtalk. And your videos are most realistic of all. Oozing with positive energy. Your daughter is cute. Love from Sydeny Au.
As a new mom these tips help so much 🙌🏻
Just carries on with a voice over like a straight up boss
“She’s back 😳” hahaha I can relate! All moms.
I adore when your children come in while your doing your. videos. 🥰
you're so sweet/patient with your daughter 🥺 i appreciate how realistic this video is and not just some Vogue bathroom 🥺
Great video! Just purchased the A313 cream. Love the simplicity of your skin routine.
I only discovered your channel two days ago and i love it! I like your humor and your smart, uncomplicated manner. Your daughter is so cute. So funny, I know these situations from my little one, she always wants to know what I'm doing on my face :) Have a nice weekend💐
the Differin hydroquinone serum doesn't exist anymore ://// do you advise anything else in exchange?
Lmaoooooo the mom life. I FEEL THAT. lol too cute and yes, they are entertaining for sure🤣
It never ends
This is the second video I've watched and I've already learned so much sunscreen last?? Who knew. And for nighttime ugh I am definitely post Couch washer. Plus the most adorable cameo.
Hi ! I am 28 years old women with seborric dermatitis who live in france can you recommand a routine ( moistrizing and anti anging ) but french pharmacy edition plz ? Love your content 😚😚😚
I just subscribed to your channel and your daughter in the background was one of the main reasons ! Love this natural spontaneous atmosphere. Great vid xx
She’s back 😒🤣 moms can totally relate lol
This is the first of your videos I’ve watched and OMG subscribed immediately for the relatability! While I was watching my two toddlers were screaming at me because I was making them snacks and was too slow.. 😂
I usually wait till bedtime to wash my face and by then I feel sooooo lazy, dreading it every single time 😑
(You have a “mini me” there lol 😆 ❤️)
Very useful advice! Your daughter is very beautiful ❤
Loved this!❤...especially the 'Mom' part...going with, not against the little one's behavior & sense of self, i.e.... redirecting, and not telling her, 'No', or 'Be Quiet', or 'Don't', or God forbid any other of the suppressing or downright damaging things a grown-up might have in store for a little one's fragile sense of being. This was more a lesson in being a loving & supportive Mum, than a skincare routine, but BOTH managed to get across effectively!
Thanks, Dr. Idriss, (I just am unsure how to spell your first name...why the formalities of using 'Dr., haha). Thanks for such a great & educational 'Mommy & Nighttime Skin Care Routine video! ❤ Awesome!
yes!!! now I believe this is Sunday! thank you so so much Doc, perfect video as usual.
