Last night I had a raid against me where a Christian woman raider cut both eyes out of my double passion Production Specialist. She literally did no other damage, just cut his eyes out of his head. I'm currently beating her everyday in a dark cave prison. This shit changes you, man.

I had two raiders show up and one had a grenade launcher. Lost my only female mount creature, and then he also killed my best pawn. It had like 4 double passions. I was furious. I should have done the same.

@@yesno8273 The game DOES increase intensity of each following raid if you don't have any pawns get downed in the last one, i.e. intensity grows harder the better you do, then decreases if a pawn gets downed, and plummets if a pawn dies.

    • @rompevuevitos222
      @rompevuevitos222 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@yesno8273 The game has lots of triggers for difficulty which also are affected by the story teller
      Things that affect it are:
-Colonist limit(there is actually a soft limit to how many colonists you are supposed to have, once you have too many, the raids will get exponentially more brutal until you loose some and the chances of a raider being instantly killed if downed increases to prevent you from taking prisoners)
-Time(If playing with Cassandra Classic or the Wealth Independent custom setting, the age of your colony affects the raid difficulty)
-Wealth(the classic reason, unless you choose that one setting ofc. Includes everything within your home area or stockpiles)
-Loss factor(actually works in your favor, if you loose a colonist, the following events and raids will be subdued to give you breathing room. Randy Random doesn't really care about this tho)
-Phoene Chillax when she's angry(Phoebe is indeed the most lax when it comes to frequency of events, but she also has a bigger cap on how big raids can be. You get more time to prepare, but the raids can be brutal)

Also if you want to quickly make allies, just send some prisoners of war as gifts by transport pod to the target faction. The relationship boost is crazy, something like +80 and more. So going from -75 to +75 (ally) with just two gifted pawns is possible.

Prisoners are messy and eat food, organs are easy to transport, worth a fair amount and you can get at least 3 from each of your uninvited guests before they expire. Harvest the remaining husk for meat and skin and you'll get the maximum value from your goods.
Even if they die early from botched surgeries, your doctor is still getting some much needed practice.
    1 Unlucky Raider will yield:
    Lung: $400
    Kidney: $250
    Heart/Liver: $500
    35 Skin: $150
    100 Meat: $80
    Minus 3 Herbal medicine: -$30
    - $1350 potential profit from any 'somewhat' healthy person vs. optimistic $500 from slavery
Couple that with the easy medical experience on surgeries and you have a decent way to get more money than slavery ever could.
Now you can effectively manage your human resources without them stinking up the place and complaining all the way to the market. :)

I prefer to take EVERYTHING. Only problem is storage of the body parts afterwards (LWM Deep Storage tall shelves help with that). Organs are a FNATASTIC currency to use for buying supplies from many traders.
Pirate merchants, Shaman merchants, Arcane Collectors (RimWorld of Magic), weapons dealers, exotic goods dealers, even bulk goods traders all buy human(oid) organs in my experience, and they buy them for a lot.
With the silver obtained, I then finance my Empire mod colonies, upgrading existing ones and setting up new towns with all the bells and whistles, or mass-produce materials from Archotech Expanded, all from harvesting a few measly raiders or prisoners.
It's so good, that I limit myself from doing it. Amoral colonies (40K Imperium of Man, mad cults, Android only factions) are allowed.
More heroic (or less amoral factions) are banned from taking more than what they strictly need as spare parts to keep in reserve for their people.
No organ trading, unless they're selling their own, after they've replaced them with bionics.
