I recommend rarr, if you haven't heard of him. He doesn't really do rimworld anymore or at least not too often but he has some really good older content.
Thank you for undertaking this important and potentially CPU-threatening research. For the next round, I recommend that look into the benefits of maintaining a high female ratio, especially in the early days. Males can be turned into kibble, a job that a fabricor could fill. Unlike training, slaughtering can be conducted 24 hours a day and takes considerably less time. This would lessen the amount of training wasted on non-breeders and create a stockpile of nutrition for supporting the rats in the later game. I'm pretty sure there's a strat for keeping chickens in with your rats (or even cows), as they're more nutrition-positive.
A high female ratio is great but it leads to a more exponential growth curve. It also has less overall efficiency if you are able to feed the rats since male saturation leads to a better bone ratio. Once I get past 2000 rats, having a predictable and slow growth curve is absolutely necessary to push the limits of my hardware
Ah yes memorys of my failed rat farm colony comes to mind. The Rat gate was the only way into the colony. Worker great until someone threw a Molotov and roughly 100 rats went up in flames.
Will likely consider a isolating a portion of rats I cant afford to feed and let them survive off themselves. It's not a net gain in food, i.e. there would be 0 growth but it would be a small decline. Could be used to make growth more linear if necessary
wrong if you have enough rats, more rats will be born than rats will go wild from lack of taming. you just need around twenty rats before the cycle outraces, and then you dont have to tame them, jsut feed them.
The rat math is truly outstanding as always
If i try raising 50 chickens my PC melts and this chad right here is raising 1000 rats. I hate my life.
We simply need more content like this in the rimworld community. Less weebs making op waifus and more rat science
Yes.

@@joshuagraham1800 I just checked him out, thanks for the recommendation.
This is my favorite rimworld series
Now these are the real questions we need answered

As a person who uses the animal personhood meme in Rimworld, my people sentence you to eat without a table.

I remember him explaining the logistics of it to us in discord. His computer was exploding
Now this is peak RimWorld
rat gaming
Love your videos man, keep it up 🧡
Now THIS is gaming
“Adjusted Bone Rate” #science
Great video.
I see, you've made Paris, France in RimWorld.
Now if only they could chew through walls.
This pleases the rat gang 🐀

What this taught me is my squirrel wall strategy finally has a challenger.
When rimworld creates the skaven.
Actually I have a idea. You could try chickens, and caravan around new maps while they eat the whole map of grass. Almost zero maintenace
I think my PC would instantly crash if I had a caravan full of 1000 chickens. Not sure though...
how does your game run so damn well
Wiki says the rattos eat corpses. So new food source to consider for your next ratty run.

dont forget the tale of the skeven
what animation mod do you have for the raider melee attacks ?
I think its Yayo combat?
tried this but they arrested me for "beastiality"
You're not supposed to help with the bone rate
@@MyNameIsXYlp the title used to be "breeding 1000 rats in rimworld" or something similar
@@Water-rg7gp thanks, that clarifies things
