No sorry, Upgrading the firmware can only be done via the browser or the local monitor. We have some videos on the channel for these. th-cam.com/video/1baNdNRLmBc/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/-qtHHip4sPU/w-d-xo.html
Hi! I just got an Annke PTZ camera, connected it through a cat5 ethernet cable directly to my PC's router, installed this software but no camera appears on there. Do you have any idea of what might be causing it to not appear? Thanks! And thank you very much for the video!
What if inactive cameras are NOT showing on this list at all? I have 3 cameras. One is active. Only the active one is showing on this list. The 2 that are inactive are NOT showing on this list. How can I activate something I can not see nor access? Thank you
Hi, That would suggest they are not connected to the same switch, it must be similar to the diagram at the beginning of the video, Check your IP address against the default 192.168.1.64
My second camara shows active but when put into the VKLOOK it says it is offline and the serial number does not show. I have tried this camera on various parts of my network but same result. The SAPD Tool shows the camera with all parameters but the VKLOOK viwing software sys no but the other camera (same one/different serial#) is working fine. Hours trying to figure out. Camera homes and all. Does not come up in my router list either. Pulling out what hais I have left. Any suggestions. Cheers.
Hi, VKLOOK is not Hikvision. If you use all Hikvision cameras then it will work just fine. Otherwise you can contact your local supplier of VKLook cameras and they should be able to help.
Thanks for the reply. I have the identicle camera workubf away now over two years using VKLOOK. The camera is recognized fully using VKTool. Thje camera that works can be brought up in a browser window no problem. The other not. Seems the VKTOOL shows the camera but for some reason the IP address is not recognixed by my network to assign it spot. Funny how the 'TOOL' shows a camera over ethernet yet the network cannot see it beyond that. Cheers.@@ADIGlobalDistribution
Thanks for the help. I dove deeper and found the camera was a 192.168.0.xxx and my network is a 192.168.0.xxx 'system'. Used VKTOOL again and modified the cameras perameters. All good now. Thanks again.@@ADIGlobalDistribution
fantastic explanation, brand new to all this security stuff so I really appreciated the explanation of the SADP tool
love the explanation, simple and plane clear.
Glad it helped!
Can you upgrade the firmware of the IP cameras through the SADP tool or do you have to login through a browser?

The SADP tool can only be used on HikVision cameras it possibly won't see the camera you have. Contact the supplier of this camara for help.
@@ADIGlobalDistribution Thank you for your reply! Will do!

Can be done via iPhone in like an App for SADP on iOS ? Or it has to be via windows competitor ?
Hi, Sorry but the SADP application is a windows based tool only.
