I feel I need to clarify for people that are having a hard time grasping the purpose of this video. I DON'T hate this game by any means! In Part 1 (th-cam.com/video/xpFPvh7yDDg/w-d-xo.html) I discussed a ton of things I feel they did right with this game and I generally enjoy playing it. The purpose of this video (Part 2) is to have a contrast and focus purely on this things I didn't like and that I feel they did wrong. If you feel I'm just being a hater, I urge you to watch the first part because both parts together will paint a much more complete picture of how I feel.
Dustin Paulson The Specialists don't fully determine playstyle. They compliment certain playstyles with their abilities and special equipment but those aren't perks that are impacting your playstyle 100% of the time, unlike the divisions in WW2. The actual gunfights are exactly the same, regardless of the character I use in BO4. Perks and attachments are what make the difference in that area and these can be customized to meet your needs.
TheXclusiveAce I don’t like that the lmgs are way too overpowered I don’t like what this game has turned out to be shipment is just a clusterfuck of people sitting behind the headglitches with their lmg and using requisitions the entire time shipment is ruined due to those two things
Anyone who has watched your videos knows you're neither a hater nor a rager. There's a concept called the loyal opposition...in this case it can mean that you have the best interests of the community at heart, and you show it by pointing out ways to improve. I play with a red ping 50% of the time and a yellow ping 49% of the time (Southeast Asia). I hope that improves going forward. I've grown used to shooting first and getting turned on, to emptying half-a-clip of an extended -mag Ribeyrolles into someone's back at point-blank range, only to somehow have him turn and kill me, to having none of my shots scan when there's fire on the screen or if three or more people are shooting at the same time, and to insta-dying from someone standing directly in front of me who shows up on my screen only after I'm dead and watching the kill-cam. I still love COD, and if I send back strong feedback for all of the above, it doesn't mean I'm a hater.
Why the hell did we need 300 pistol grips. Why. The effort put into that could've been put nearly anywhere else and the game would have improved immensely. Those alone ruined supply drops.
I know. I wish they would just do away with the whole supply drop system, put everything for sale in the Quartermaster for AC credits and just let us directly buy what we want.
>300 pistol grips This is what really sucks about supply drops. first you have to play a slot machine for what you want, then all you get is the crap you don't want. at least let me buy the shit I need. I want shit for a sniper, and I get shotgun crap when I've never made a shotgun class in 11yrs of playing COD.
I actually like condreys ww2, he had a vision of a pure ww2 game, now its a cosmetic cash grab. Hey!!! I would love a clown face or an emote that couldnt possibly be in ww2!!
Anthony C boy this is cod it's a arcade shooter no one wants or likes a realistic shooter that's boring as fuck after condrey left the game has been getting better every update
Probably, but even the fixes weren't proper fixes but more hacked together fixes. They never fixed the class system, just made it a touch more palatable. They thankfully added unlimited sprint, but the sprintout issue they didn't fix, they just lessened the severity of the issue. They actually made sniping worse in terms of balance. This game would need a complete overhaul to actually be a good COD.
The *WORST* thing WW2 did was to get rid of Marjor Howard's daily weapon orders! Now i have to wait *an entire week* for the weapon order to change and sometimes i already own the weapon in question!
ReboyGTR ohhhh you mean like when they had them as special orders and now they have them as challenges? Although I agree, I understand why. A big reason people would buy supply drops is to get new guns, and if you can get them completely free, why bother? It’s actually still pretty cheap for once a week a weapon costing 5k but yeah it’s not optimal
Things Cod WW2 did wrong imo Terrible Map Flow Terrible Gun Balance Lack of content at launch Division’s, didn’t mind them but I prefer the Perk System Meh Streaks Too Many Head Glicthing spots and spawn trapping Requisitions etc This are things that I feel Cod WW2 did wrong
3 lane Maps are so bad. Can't flank people without map awareness, even I get used to it. Maps should be unique and diverse. Perfect layout doesn't mean better map.
Playing COD for 15 years and MP 502...and 60 years old. I’m always sad to see a season end. I would put WW2 in the TOP 3. I agree with you on Texas map. Sometimes I consider jumping off the back of the boat just to get out of the spawn. Requisitions is idiotic for many reasons...it changes games and doesn’t reward strategic play. I also think satchel charges do that. They shouldn’t be allowed with the Expeditionary Division (nor should other explosives...they’re OP and I often get spammed). Chrome camo was a HUGE letdown after the hard grind. If people got bored with WW2, then they should examine they’re play style. If it’s always the same SMG, LMG, or rifle, then they only have themselves to blame. Once I got chrome, I went after the challenges. There’s enough there to challenge yourself and to keep things fresh. I thought your advice to avoid contracts was misplaced. Though your math was fine, it was only good for you and for a point in time. I do most contracts each day, and always had between 300 and 550 supply drops at each DLC. After opening, I usually had all weapons PLUS and additional 75,000 to 125,000 additional amity credits from duplicates (and the odds of duplicates increase with each drop opened). I’m happy with my WW2 experience and will miss it. I admire the way Sledge worked out problems as time went by. I’m also happy with your channel. You’re the only channel I watch all of because I get value for the time I spend with you. Great job! I’ve fallen away from most of the other COD Tubers because I can make my own kill montages if that’s what I want to see. You might also checkout SpartanGaming from the UK and JGOD Gaming...both are small channels.
Tyrfing Broadaxe definitely top 3 worst CODs ever. Maybe actual top worst cod ever. Certainly the top worst botg cod ever created. It’s embarrassing that it has cod name attached.
LOL! I better get off my but, then. Hey, I just like to clear my mind with COD. I've grown better at it over the years...even a donkey would, given that much practice. Some of my fav Tubers have dropped the ball. Fortnight was the separator, and I realize that they need to make a living and follow the dollar. I'm 100% COD because I couldn't focus on anything else, given my job. I live in Singapore, and can't wait to move back to the USA where my usually-red connections will turn green. I have my sons set up on a blistering system in the USA, and when I play there, I'm shocked at the performance. Ace has kept the faith with the COD community, and I always play his vids because they teach me something, or confirm something I already suspect. I'll sub to him and thumbs up every one of his vids as long as that continues. It takes some amount of courage to ignore the latest fad, and he's shown it. That should be rewarded. I subbed to some of today's big Tubers when they had less than 5,000 subs, and I supported them. Now? I've not unsubbed, but I don't watch their videos...nor anyone who thinks that raging is entertainment or something to emulate. And, if every map looks like a PPSH, an STG, or a Lewis...then the reason a COD release becomes boring is that people refuse to step up their game. I like those guns, too, but I almost never use them because something like a Type 5, a Waffe, or a Karabin will challenge me while they improve my skills. My 19-year plays better than me, but it's because I let her stay up late to play with me when she turned 5. Perhaps she should have a TH-cam channel. She's a model. :) Thanks for the reply!
I personally dislike how they handled the contracts. Initially they were at reasonable prices, but they eventually started charging 400+ armory credits for a contract just to get a common supply drop.
I actually just do 3 rare zombie supply drop contracts instead, as they are only 200 per contract. If I combine that with 3 daily and weekly orders, I end up with 2-3 common and 3-6 rare zombie supply drops per game. Plus doing zombie orders counts towards the supply drop per 6 daily orders and rare supply drop per 3 weekly orders. I don't even touch the mp contracts unless it's for a weapon.
Even from launch it was 400+ credits for a simple Supply Drop. However idk if you ever noticed but it was a balance idea of skill vs time. You could do a "get 50 kills in TDM" (over multiple games of course) and you could get 30 minutes to do it at the cost of 200+ credits and the reward would be a Rare Supply Drop. To counter that, you could get the same contract for double the price, same number of kills but you could get given a 1 hour contract to do it. If you didn't feel so confident, you could get a basic Supply Drop at a higher credit cost but if you felt confident, you could spend half the credits to do whatever challenge in half the time
@@FieryHyrdra Still got fond memories of Ghosts as the first CoD I bought. IW was the second I completed the campaign for and enjoyed at it. MW 2019... the servers man, I wish they were as good as the ones for WW2.
Tell me about it. I feel like 8 out of 10 of my deaths I just get bullshitted by connection. Then there's always that 1 guy that's next to the server and he just looks at you and you die.
Personally I always have a great hit detection, I’m in the Los Angeles, Ca area and have a 75 meg upload and download connection and I have maybe 1 sorta inconsistent connection match a week and play pretty frequently. However I will say I haven’t had a connection issue with any of the last 3 titles launched but I also know my friends have differing opinions some have great connections and some like you all have inconsistent ones.
@@roochiecooch you are probably close to the server. I live in Taiwan now and the nearest server is in Japan, that's i think 2 500km away. In a fear gun fight I will lose everytime with the delay. I shoot someone 10 times get no hit markers, I watch the killcam and I didn't even shoot at the guy. And I got 80mb.
Better than BO3, but if you played IW and got used to how good it COULD be, then yeah. If only it hadn't been cool to hate at IW, because that game was really good, specially after the release kinks was ironed out. But that seems to be something you just have to live with if you want to play CoD, the first few months the game isn't finished, its been like that with bo3, iw, wwii, and probably even longer.
OMG THANK YOOOOOU! Those damn 30 game daily orders were pissing me off! I HATE THAT SHEEEET! Especially during the Liberty Strike Event! Play 30 games, play another 30 games, then another 30 games - and when you're done with that - play another 30 games! 😤😤😣😣😣 oh! You thought you were done?!?! - Nope - play another 30 games! Come on man! That frustrated the hell out of me during the Liberty Strike event! I'm glad you mentioned it. And after all that 30 game grid, you open the stupid Liberty Strike Supply Drop - it's a damn duplicate. 😐😒
U know if its liberty strike or summer bribe drop or something itgave u from 30 gameorder it was 1 duplicatw protected item from the specific collection
Although 30 is a daaaamn lot of matches for one day, it was kind of forcing you to buy supply drops instead. And if you didn’t want to buy them, play 30 matches to get the gear. It was a grind for sure, but I have a ton of stuff and I never bought a single supply drop.
How about this. All developers of cod which is sledgehammer, treyarch and infinity ward make a call of duty together for a year. Infinity ward do the connection, treyarch do the maps and guns and zombies, sledgehammer can watch and learn
Honestly if that would happen, I would make like this Campaign - Infinity ward and Sledge hammer games Multiplayer: Weapon stuff--Shg and Treyarch Maps- Treyarch Connection - IW Zombies : Treyarch ONLY Survival and/or Special ops- IW and Shg Seems fair to me this way.. And no, I'm not gonna put blackout here
@@T0anto they should honestly try this atleast once to see what type of game we get they ate always willing to try something new NO ONE ASK FOR (Jetpacks, Divisions) yet they do it anyway
Of all cod youtubers you are one of the few who actually show their deaths, I enjoy the fact that you care more about a win than your kd/getting a v2! Big ups my guy hope mw will boost your channel
Only thing that killed this game for ME was the damn riot shield. I stopped playing then. You head shot someone FROM the front while they're using cavalry and I still get a damn shield hit icon.
I have all the DLC downloaded as I bought the season pass. It is nearly impossible to find a full lobby of TDM anymore. Best I can find are 3v3's. Game is uninstalled as the player base is too divided
honestly, up till 2 months ago, I was still playing it almost exclusively, balancing it a bit with fortnite. Recently, though, I just cant get myself to play the game. It truly just bores me now. I've been trying to get to master prestige (level 56) but right now im only prestige 9 level 40
For me, 1.) Map design/Spawns 2.) Hit detection 3.) Matchmaking 4.) Saboteur 5.) Making sniping too easy 6.) Requisition 7.) Kill Streak 8.) There seems to be some type of glitch that’s never fixed 9.) Player collision
Patrik Uosukainen cod doesn’t ever have good hit detection, specifically SH. Advanced Warfare is an example. The hit detection is inconsistent, there’s times where it seems that I’m just getting hit markers or my billets aren’t even registering
That One Guy I’m not saying you need to be a god to snipe, but someone as myself who’s been shitty at sniping since mw2, the fact that I can go 30 and 10 while sniping, isn’t really a good sign. There’s no way a sniper rifle should be able to compete with a shotgun, smg, or even a rifle at the ranges that they’re dominant in. Yard why I think they should either decrease the ads speed for a lot of the snipers or go the battlefield route, in which if you’re within a certain range you can’t get a one shot kill unless it’s a headshot
Don’t forget about the lack of rewards for Master Prestige. I agree a Counter UAV that scrambled the mini map and gave assist points would have been nice. Also, I wish they would let you choose different score streaks for each class setup like Ghosts did. WW2 2018 seemed like a more complete and finished game than WW2 2017.
I still sometimes can't spawn in right away because Im spectating even though I already have my class selected and everything, I always miss my opening routes and it sucks because the rnemy already gets set up by the time I run in
1. Sprint out times are still horrible. It makes the movement terrible. 2. The feel of the bullet contact in this game feels off compared to other CODs. It made it hard to tell when you actually kill an enemy or if you need to keep shooting.
I ended up quitting this game completely after about a few weeks. The constant disconnection in matches after they ended and losing all that progress was utterly frustrating and took too long to fix.
Mode with no grenades? Thats just idiotic kid, grenades been part of the game since first cod and always will there r modes like gungames etc but there wont be mode called like no grenade/lethal mode
My top3 worst COD ww2 features 1. Requisitions 2. Fire shotguns (mostly their range) 3. Screen vibration during streaks.... totally messes me up for what I feel is way too long
In my opinion, CoD WWII failed to immerse the player base with a consistent tone. By this I mean that the game feels uninspired. Consider this, why is the game announcer not talking to us through a radio of some sort? The yelling in my headset over all the game fx just makes it sound like an exaggerated parody of WWII combat. It doesn’t match the grit of missing limbs and agonizing yells of soldiers burning to death. The tone is inconsistent. This can be seen in other areas too like the menus, emotes, HQ, reticle options, lame orders, and the division system overhaul. Load up BO3 and within 60 seconds you can feel the difference between a game with a vision, and an uninspired mess like WWII. From sound design to the in-match dialogue, a game like BO3 does way more to keep a consistent tone for the player’s experience.
Absolutely, plus the characterization of headquarters characters like hipster glasses wearing Major Howard and that awfully patronizing woman were so millinialized. Even the background chatter by NPC soldiers was off. You couldn't take two steps without overhearing some frat douchebag's lame attempt at flirting with some dead sounding female soldier. It's like everyone in the headquarters thinks the war is Summer Camp. Excruciating dialogue and historically wrong on so many levels
Well said. At the very least I am excited that Treyarch will give us a title that feels like a coherent product, regardless if wether BO4 gains popularity or not.
That One Guy Yes they do dude, once a new weapon comes out that's even good it's nerfed to the ground the Second the competitive player base complains about it.
That One Guy do you not remember when they were gonna nerf the m1 garand because the pro players complained, wanna know why the fg42 was nerfed competitive, wanna know why the mp40 and tompson was buffed competitive
Now that you mention it, I think it WAS during Liberty Strike that I took my stupidly long hiatus from WWII, which still has yet to end... all those "play 30 games" orders really did wear my patience for the game thin, as sick as I was from all the other problems that kept persisting, not the least of which was that damned spectating glitch. To the day I stopped playing, I would STILL end up spectating upwards of the first minute and a half of each match, screaming at my screen practically begging the game to just fucking spawn me in already...
they did SPRINT wrong at launch. Not having unlimited sprint slowed the game down so much it didnt even feel like COD anymore. After 3 years of advanced movement the limited sprint and slow sprintout times was drastically slower and led to camping and pre-aiming everything. Took the “twitch shooter” element out of the game.
WW2: being hit by a bullet causes flinch, explosions shake the screen MW: bullet damage causes flinch, deafness, screen goes grey, that weird intense sound effect plays. explosions cause actual real life shellshock
Flinch fix. Health Regeneration Decrease. Ads speeds. Shellshock fix. Weapon rebalancing and Quick Scope fixes. Sprint out times. Server fixes. SBMM removal. Free maps. All happened before February 2018.
You do realise that's 1/4 of the year? And With the life cycle of this CoD only being till early october (due to bo4 early release) that's a massive chunk out of the life cycle, not to mention due to the other factors ACE mentioned, people were getting bored of this game even earlier, so though it may seem harsh, even before Feb was too late because people will judge how much they'll play the new CoD based off their experiences at the very beginning, maybe they'll give the game 1-2 months to improve if it starts poor, but even that's pushing the limit
SBMM is still a thing imo. They probably only changed it to determine your skill level every x days, so that you'll have some non SBMM lobbies before being "ranked". Every time I login after not having played in a while lobbies are super easy, after a couple of matches they'll get sweaty and stay sweaty.
What problems did COD WW2 have (in my opinion)? 1. Weapon Balance. Weapon Balance in this game is not great. It has improved slightly but its not great till this day. LMG's and Shotguns are the worst. The Combat Shotgun is still the only Shotgun that Players use as it is the only Consistent Shotgun. LMG's are too powerful for what they are. If they had slightly more recoil and had shorter ranges then they would be fine. But since they are in the state as they are now, the Lewis and MG-15 are popular choices for camping on a load of maps, especially Shipment. 2. Keeping the game fixed and stable. Bugs are still frequent in this game. Whenever Bugs get fixed, New Bugs come in. The Spectator Bug is still a common issue for me which is yet to be fixed months ago. Another problem which I approached recently is my Grenades resetting whenever the Commando Division is prestiged. Sure, its not a big deal but its still annoying having to re-choose my Grenades. 3. Default Maps. Don't need to say much. 9 Standard Maps where most are poorly designed. 3 War Maps which are great but doesn't redeem the game from having a lot of crappy maps. 4. The Supply Drop System. Although it has improved along with many other things, it still isn't rewarding. Obtaining DLC Weapons turned into a bit of a joke again. Have to wait weeks after weeks just to obtain the Base Variants of DLC Weapons. Why is that a thing? Why couldn't it be like Infinite Warfare where you could complete different challenges easily without having to rely on Supply Drops and waiting too long? Sure, there are challenges in WW2 but you have to again wait weeks for the weapon that you want and then spend like 5000 Armoury Credits just to have a chance at getting the Base Variant of the Weapon. Drives me insane. I still praise the Supply Drop System in Infinite Warfare (Stat Changing Variants are debatable however). I don't hate the game. I still enjoy it at times but its easily one of the most underwhelming games I played.
I agree with most of your points but I completely disagree with the Supply Drops point. I think this game did it better than every other COD game so far. The new weapons are always available in a collection and there aren't stat-changing variants which over-complicates things. I have almost every DLC gun by only buying the event-specific collections and opening supply drops, and it's not hard for me at all. I put in roughly an hour a day and I'm able to manage that and have over 80,000 armory credits (just log in every four hours - you don't need to play to get bonus). Point being, this game has been the easiest game by far to get DLC weapons and I'm hoping BO4 looks to it for Supply Drop structure
Yeah i completely agree with your last point. I eventually found myself just playing infected to get those 30 games done. What is especially annoying is that at the same time when you have a daily order of completing 35 games you'll also have a weekly one requiring you to win 30. But in difficulty there isn't much difference between the 2
Ppl one day will praise CoD: IW as one of the best. Fast TTK and ADS, to punish fools that did mistakes; satisfying scorestreaks; fairly balanced gunplay; great movement for escape and/or attack; actual 3 dimensional (verticality) space to move around. It was fast, glorious and beautiful. BO4 seems like a watered down version of IW to me. After some 20 years of playing FPS i really wished some publisher would bring back the speed and skill in a FPS like UT99 did back when i was a teen playing Quake, Doom or Duke nukem. Horizontal FPS with some platforming (just for the campers) is very much outdated and frankly, imo, boring. After CoD: IW i couldn't even touch this... relic.
I was so disappointed that it had advanced movement that I barely even touched it at launch. I gave it another chance during WWII's life cycle and actually liked it quite a bit. The hit detection felt great and the guns were pretty cool. I'd still prefer a game like it but without specialists and without advanced movement. I don't like specialists because they're basically glorified support streaks that kill and advanced movement is more just a taste thing, it makes the game more about confusing people rather than the gun play.
Oh and I don't mind advanced movement so much usually but at the time literally every FPS I was playing had it and it was just like "alright I get it, ENOUGH with this sci-fi shit" lol
The footsteps have seemingly disappeared. I got an expensive headset because for the 1st time in a FPS I was constantly being killed from behind. Over time the ability to hear anybody seems to have lessened from not very well to not at all. It’s now at the point I could do without the headset and nothing would change.
Sooo much shoot first die first in this game. IW , bo3 plays sooooo much more consistent. And at least on bo3, my ping is between 17-30 so I know my connection is good. That and the spawns are wayyy to sticky
I hate the massive amount of screen shake and the daily order spam of "get X number of kills with X" for example get 15 kills with incendiary shells, because it just means instead of lobby's with more players playing less "toxic" it just floods lobbies with incendiary combat shotguns, one of the things that actually drove me away...
Condrey and Schofield ....simple as that. Shows how clueless they are especially Condrey so arrogant. It was that bad they basically got sacked by Activision. Pretty obvious they hardly had any time to do the game.
The thing that i dislike the most is the rewards. For instance, what do you get for getting gold in every single weapon in the game? An ugly aluminum type camo. What do yo get for reaching max social score? A blue tick next to your name. What do you get for reaching master prestige? You get underwhelming uniforms and camos, but it's every 100 levels and it's not really worth it
as a HC player 1 of the biggest things that annoyed me and made me stop playing was the dam team killing, not sure if many people remember this but their was a vote on twitter awhile ago talking about if people wanted 3 kills to kick or rico, over all rico won 55%, but in the comment all people was saying was they like 3 kills to kick, after a week or 2 they posted they was keeping with the 3 kills to kick, let alone they also had a vote for DOM 100 and that won by a land slide but yet still decided on DOM 75, Quickdraw issue made the game feel too campy you still have to pull back your left thumbstick last I check, ( not sure if it still do able now ) it just felt like they was not listening to hardcore player and the core play for DOM 100,
I think the biggest issue hasn't been addressed. Even worse than the bad map design is the lag/latency. The game seems out of sync, enemy players seem to see me on their screen a full second before they appear on mine. I've seen enemy bullets before the player model comes around a wall.
That One Guy I dont see how it's on my end. Other online games I play dont have this problem. I'm hardwired with like 120 down and 30 up. Ace even mentioned this problem in the video, I just seem to have it more often than not.
Quick Scoping was also OP in this game. I would instantly back out and then they nerfed the best counter to that which was satchels. Adding shields was a mistake as well. Shields should just reduce damage by a certain amount and after let’s say double the shots the person should die. not be able to take an infinite amount of bullets. All guns or at least rifles should have suppressors. Connections seamed to always favor some players over others.
The PC version is unplayable now. After I stopped playing by the release of the first DLC, I wanted to try out all of the new changes and Commando division, only to experience CONSTANT and severe frame lag/hitching. It's extremely agitating and it's a shame.
poor map design - every interaction happens here and is a massive flaw in this game the loading times with the annoying sledghammer sign / dog tag that placeholders in the create a class menu is infuriating. shellshock is way too much with blur and screen shake, including for friendly grenades no dedicated bolt action rifles worth using they should have buffed weapons to be all powerful as the bar was at launch - not nerf the strongest and most fun to use weapons. amount of score on objective modes hit detection issues launch disaster slow level up headshots almost always do not matter supply drops and duplicate content beyond frustrating - reduce number of supply drops but decrease number of duplicates. Pool had too much filler to get top weapons. sprint out times, health regen, underpowered score streaks, chain streaks not long enough, play of the game boring and broken
I can't be the only person to point out the obvious - most issues were fixed long before the division update! Why does everyone act like ww2 changed drastically in one update, that's just not true!
I recently subscribed to your channel and I hate that I didn’t find your page when I got the game. I got it late, like mid April which created some challenges that I’ll explain below. I watched both parts of this series and you nailed it in both videos. And your other videos are very well done and helpful. Ok enough D**K riding on my part. I appreciate your hard work in bringing us this content. People don’t realize what all goes into quality videos like these. Not some low budget vids like mine. The only things I would add to your list are A) the loot boxes and the extreme amount of duplicates I’d get for most of the year until they started adding new content. Even then, I think it goes without saying, NO ONE NEEDS 500 PISTOL GRIPS! For the love of God! Getting duplicates over and over sometimes of the same item while i still had items I wanted being held hostage while I waited and grinded like crazy for the Duck Soup 2 and the Volk variant that I wanted for example that almost made me break my XBox because I got the game late and missed some of the events. And B) the Soldier user interface. Take Ghost for example ( don’t hate) but the perk system and the UI were (in my opinion) the best COD has had. Especially being able to individualize the lame ass score streaks to the individual class. Not the whole list. Same with uniforms. Based on class not total division. I use different streaks for Dom than I do HCKC. And when you add in the daily challenges I spent so much time changing scorestreaks around and picking challenges . Then when you have 17 (now 20) slots and you can only scroll down instead of up to reach the bottom classes, the UI is so slow. In a game if you want to change classes say the first class to the last gun in your list you just bump up and boom. In the main menu you have to scroll all the way down and no it doesn’t sound like a big deal but when you find yourself in a game forgetting to just scroll up and you lose time in a menu vs spraying lead in the game. It just sucks. Sorry for the long comment but you asked. Lol Loot boxes and UI were trash and still are trash in this game.
I agree with you to some extent however, we in the Middle East have not played most of the new maps. We played the base maps over and over again until we stopped playing WWII.
@@Illuminati-pr3di Calling BO4 bad when it hasn't released, lol. You probably suck at the game too. Funny how the folks that like this crap(WWll) are illiterate. The BO4 Beta, alone, has more content than Bore War ll, and the people that have played BO4 can't come back to this horrible, slow, and sluggish game(WWll). It's your opinion, and so is mines, but to say it's a top five COD(WWll) is absurd, and also calling a game trash when it hasn't released!
Yes, the connections are so weird in this game. Sometimes I even feel like mid game the connection will drop and I can no longer kill anyone, though it could be a placebo because of how inconsistent the connection is. And the frustrating thing is that when you find a good connection, as you said, even in the same lobby it is inconsistent
The thing about HQ that I kind of liked, that you didn't mention is. When you are playing with others in a lobby, there is almost always someone "wasteing your time" No matter if they have to adjust their clases due to new unlocks, or have to go to the bathroom. Sitting and looking at the lobby screen is very boring, and while there isn't that much to do in HQ, it still a lot better to pass time.
Honestly this was my worst call of duty experience ever. Like you I was on a gamble for good and bad connection. I also really hate ww2s create a class. Grenade spam still sucks and the amount your screen shakes from scorestreaks is unbearable. Idk if it's just me but I found weapon reticles/optics hard to use. The faded yellow is just too hard to see on the reflex sight and on sights like 4×4 your guns just had to much random recoil. I literally stuck to snipers the whole game(and the sap pistol).
I love this game, but one of my complaints has to do with the contract system. I love that there is a contract system, but I feel it should be randomized contracts for everyone. As it stands now when you go into a domination game half the players are using the shield to get the daily contract.
I did a 150 match order that gave me 6 zombie event bribes. After a week of grinding, I opened them and got 4 common bribes and 2 rare bribes. That was the last time I ever decided to do the big weekly order
There’s definitely pros & cons with this game but overall I think Cod Ww2 has blossomed into a beautiful game & one many will continue to enjoy for years to come.
Matt I said the same thing with Mw2 when it first came out. Now look the success of the game all these years later. Gotta let games marinate trust me homeboy.
Matt of course that’s exactly what I’m saying, the game has been out for a little under a year & it’s only getting better, like they say better late then never. There’s been a handful of games that never really got the proper recognition it truly deserves until a few years or so have passed.
I think that the over-arching thing I will remember about WWII was that there were so many missed opportunities. They really got so many things wrong, you had to wonder if they had ever played a COD game before.
The complete 85 matches is completely unacceptable. I constantly feel drained and I begin to dislike the game. Obviously I don’t do it in one day. I did that contact once and as soon as I finished there was another one. I absolutely hate that
I just got back on today for a bit , it was ok, I like the new division but for me requisitions, fire shotguns, weird connections, crappy maps I mainly play Shipment, and its BORING, I was an advocate for this game for a while but I have the least amount of hours played n this game since I've started cod, but there's nothing that makes me want to play, I've got my v2's, chrome which sucked and reached mp so there's really nothing more for me to achieve anyways . Also I hate the spawns, and instead of fixing things they added more annoying stuff like riot shields like smh
Dragoonsoul7878 It makes the shotgun more consistent at closer ranges, compared to shotguns without Incendiary Shells. It’s not completely nerfed, as you say.
Props to you ace, I agree with everything you said, I’m amazed you stuck with it all year honestly. Here’s to a great year of cod next year. Also, I’m So glad Condrey was pushed out, it’s still going to always be in my bottom 3 cod games, maybe worst ever. It did get better but way to slow.
The number one thing they did wrong was "revamping" the order system aka getting greedy and removing by far the best way to earn weapons in any CoD so far. That ultimately put me and everyone I know off playing. Im guessing they lost ALOT of their playerbase that day and tbh most likely never went back, including me.
Heavy spawn trapping on release Boosters and the leader boards broken is the start to this underrated game and with a red bloody screen that never dissappeard
Biggest issue for sure has been the connection instability, it's totally random and most of the times it makes the game totally unplayable as others see you seconds before you see them
I play this game a lot, and there are positives for this game. But there are plenty of negatives. The standout ones for me are: - Requisitions (I hate Req, it sucks. It gives bad players a chance to get high end killstreaks.) - Scorestreaks (I only use Recon, Fighter Pilot, Fire Bombing and Paratroopers.) - Shotguns (Specifically the M97, it’s just so annoying to have someone run up behind and insta kill me off a streak with a pump.) - Incendiary Shells (Bad.) - Collections (Blitzkrieg onwards, they were too expensive and they brought out too many guns at the same time.) - Connection (Really inconsistent, sometimes I’ll have a 3 bar one match, and in the same lobby the next match, I’ll have a 1 bar.) - Liberty Strike Orders onwards (Too many “complete matches” orders, and not enough Armory Credit orders.) - MP Rewards (Too little too late.) - XP Rates (Takes too long to rank up Soldier and Divisions, I have to grind out 10-15 matches of Shipment to rank up divisions, and Soldier XP rates just aren’t enough.) - Grenade Spam and Tacticals (Grenades Spam was ridiculous, and I feel like I have to use Hunker or Armored on every class to counter it. And Gas and Stuns are broken.) - C4 and Saboteur (Why was this introduced.) - Supply Drops (Need I say more?) - Variants (While some of them are really cool and look super good, the chance to get them is next to nothing.) - And finally, Matchmaking. (I play in Australian servers, with all DLCs, and it’s normally fine. But there are quite a few times when I get terrible players who can’t shoot or even capture a flag, and the other team is full of Master Prestige sweats with Lewis guns and PPShs.)
Game was terrible at launch, and is still terrible today. I've played this game since the beta and I have never been so frustrated playing call of duty throughout its life cycle. I concur with everything ace listed in this video, and sincerely hope that sledgehammer re-evaluates how they make cods in the future so that we dont end up with another inconsistent, boring, content-lacking, unrewarding, and annoying call of duty again from them. I always walk into any game, particularly cod, with a strong desire to like it despite the shortcomings it may have. But with wwii, I simply couldnt see past the enundating flood of problems and annoyances that it had to see the few good things the game had to offer. My disappointment with this game is immeasurable, and black ops 4 could not come any sooner.
@@PU8698 Clearly you dont like advanced movement, but that doesnt mean those games are bad games. You probably barely played any of those games so I dont really consider your opinion to hold much credence. Although, if you did, you must be pretty delusional. Subjectivity aside, its hard to argue that this game is anywhere near better than iw or bo3, at least in terms of content and consistancy. I'm not too big a fan of aw as it was objectively unbalanced, but i would still consider it, at least, more fun than wwii. Bo4 is still in its beta so I cant say much as far as its standing as a full launch game, but i had more fun in the beta than I did at any point in wwii's life cycle.
I didn’t like the game I was hype for bout 3 months then got bored. So looking forward to bo4. The beta was good and ace keep bringing the knowledge to us thanks bro.
The thing I dislike most about this game (other than the maps) is probably the Division system. It’s literally a direct step-back from pick-10. There were only like 2 or 3 perks I used on any of my classes, and the divisions themselves didn’t give you that much freedom. I hope we just get pick-10 from now on.
TheXclusiveAce you talk complete sense in this video!!! It’s not an awful game but no where near a great call of duty! Keep up the hard work bro!
If you don't like the Divisions system, and restricting playstyles, how in the world are you on board with Specialists for BO4?!
I mean add some that you could buy with cod points or credits wouldve been fine but omg so many
I know. I wish they would just do away with the whole supply drop system, put everything for sale in the Quartermaster for AC credits and just let us directly buy what we want.
they just did crips so they can get more money from people to supply drops and other because almost all if full of shit
>300 pistol grips
This is what really sucks about supply drops. first you have to play a slot machine for what you want, then all you get is the crap you don't want. at least let me buy the shit I need. I want shit for a sniper, and I get shotgun crap when I've never made a shotgun class in 11yrs of playing COD.
But when I make a cool paint job at least I know I will find a grip that will match the look.
I feel like if the game released in its Post Condrey update, the game would've had a much better perception.
That is exactly what He said
I actually like condreys ww2, he had a vision of a pure ww2 game, now its a cosmetic cash grab. Hey!!! I would love a clown face or an emote that couldnt possibly be in ww2!!
Anthony C boy this is cod it's a arcade shooter no one wants or likes a realistic shooter that's boring as fuck after condrey left the game has been getting better every update
It was too late by that point. You cater to your playerbase and the pure arrogance by condrey held back the game for months.
The launch of this game destroyed it. It's a decent game now but everyone abandoned it by the time it did become decent.
Alan Lee I still play it u should have known
That’s sort of on them if they didn’t bother to try it out afterwards
The *WORST* thing WW2 did was to get rid of Marjor Howard's daily weapon orders! Now i have to wait *an entire week* for the weapon order to change and sometimes i already own the weapon in question!
ReboyGTR did they really get rid of it? I haven’t looked at the weapon orders in a while
They moved them to the Quartermaster, which means they now cost credits, are on a time limit and only change once a week.
A BOOM HAS BEEN PLANTED ON OUR AMMO SUPPLY
Honestly the best part of the game
🤣🤣🤣
that was a feature
Yeah - Its a disgrace it took SO LONG to fix that, and its even worse that they then later made an update putting that bug right back into the game
Krydolph who cares itwas funny
Things Cod WW2 did wrong imo
Terrible Map Flow
Terrible Gun Balance
Lack of content at launch
Division’s, didn’t mind them but I prefer the Perk System
Meh Streaks
Too Many Head Glicthing spots and spawn trapping
Requisitions etc
This are things that I feel Cod WW2 did wrong
3 lane Maps are so bad. Can't flank people without map awareness, even I get used to it. Maps should be unique and diverse. Perfect layout doesn't mean better map.
Gun balance was excellent in ww2. Agree with other things.
True...never saw a COD where the guns were better balanced than this one.
@@Tallieman2 Only IW in my opinion. This one is 2nd.
Malik Lander forgot riot shields😡🤬
I hate how they removed the DLC weapons from the orders; I had many hopes that you could get all DLC weapons for free just by completing 50 matches
The release was rocky but by 2018 WW2 was a much improved title
Unfortunately, that's still pretty bad because cod has a short one year lifespan.
Too little, too late.
@@ruuiku could have just played it as a secondary CoD for another year
@@baquithemonkey5330perhaps true, but u could have just played it as a secondary CoD for another year
Playing COD for 15 years and MP 502...and 60 years old.
@@physastra4962 yeah..what ever
I agree with mostly everything you said...and I subbed to you lol
Love JGod. Will have to check Spartan out
Thanks for the reply!
I personally dislike how they handled the contracts. Initially they were at reasonable prices, but they eventually started charging 400+ armory credits for a contract just to get a common supply drop.
Just don't buy it.... Get rare supply drops by completing orders and games
If you didn't feel so confident, you could get a basic Supply Drop at a higher credit cost but if you felt confident, you could spend half the credits to do whatever challenge in half the time
My biggest problem with WWII is the severe lack of Axis customization and the fact that all but one War Operation has Axis on Defense
I still enjoy playing cod ww2 and I will for a long time.

Personally I always have a great hit detection, I’m in the Los Angeles, Ca area and have a 75 meg upload and download connection and I have maybe 1 sorta inconsistent connection match a week and play pretty frequently. Another thing they did wrong was how "safe" they made the setting. It's as if Disney directed a movie set in WWII.
Agree. They wussed out of the entire Pacific theater.
Oh no how game breaking 🙄
No one said it was game breaking
Are you kidding me? The burning alive screams and being blown apart by explosions?
Kyle Duddleston Go play WaW and come back.
For me, 1.) Map design/Spawns
2.) Hit detection
3.) Matchmaking
4.) Saboteur
5.) Making sniping too easy
6.) Requisition
7.) Kill Streak
8.) There seems to be some type of glitch that’s never fixed
9.) Player collision
How can you complain about hit detection? It's best in IWs and SHGs CoD games and Treyarchs hit detection is trash
Patrik Uosukainen cod doesn’t ever have good hit detection, specifically SH. Advanced Warfare is an example. The hit detection is inconsistent, there’s times where it seems that I’m just getting hit markers or my billets aren’t even registering
@@ThatGuyTheo you are right that CoD doesn't have a good hit detection, but IWs CoDs have the best hit detection and treyarch has the worst
Patrik Uosukainen honestly I don’t think there’s really a difference. I remember back in mw2 days, I would have a aneurysm
I still sometimes can't spawn in right away because Im spectating even though I already have my class selected and everything, I always miss my opening routes and it sucks because the rnemy already gets set up by the time I run in
blacknight1234567 yep so true I miss out on free domination points because I’m spectating for 5 minutes
Yeah, gonna blame all my shit ability on my connection bro!!
The grenade in the game was to op......I want a mode that there is just GUN (no grenade, score streaks,) and the LMG WAS TO OP (Lewis,MG15...).
Hell yeah
Please use the correct ‘too’
Mode with no grenades? Thats just idiotic kid, grenades been part of the game since first cod and always will there r modes like gungames etc but there wont be mode called like no grenade/lethal mode
I totally agree! I loved the barebones playlist in modern warfare 2 i thnk it was. No streaks, just gun kills. Thats what i want from a game.
In IW, there is no Frag in multiplayer. So if you get killed lethals, it’s either good timing/placement or your own fault for not react in time.
My top3 worst COD ww2 features
1. Requisitions
2. Fire shotguns (mostly their range)
3. Screen vibration during streaks.... totally messes me up for what I feel is way too long
And I'm level 152 and LOVE this game.... but damn
Well said. At the very least I am excited that Treyarch will give us a title that feels like a coherent product, regardless if wether BO4 gains popularity or not.
>praising BO3 unironically

People: *complain that they couldn’t play Multiplayer*
Me vibin in the campaign:
the fact they listen to competitive players more than casual players
Between the hit detection , grenade spam , ultra instinct snipers I don't see how you couldn't run requisitions !
Wasn’t social score advertised as “level up your social score and you’ll get better loot?”.... yeah, that was a flop and a lie.
WW2: being hit by a bullet causes flinch, explosions shake the screen
MW: bullet damage causes flinch, deafness, screen goes grey, that weird intense sound effect plays. explosions cause actual real life shellshock
Flinch fix. Health Regeneration Decrease. Ads speeds. Shellshock fix. Weapon rebalancing and Quick Scope fixes. Sprint out times. Server fixes. SBMM removal. Free maps. All happened before February 2018.
Exactly bro
You do realise that's 1/4 of the year? And With the life cycle of this CoD only being till early october (due to bo4 early release) that's a massive chunk out of the life cycle, not to mention due to the other factors ACE mentioned, people were getting bored of this game even earlier, so though it may seem harsh, even before Feb was too late because people will judge how much they'll play the new CoD based off their experiences at the very beginning, maybe they'll give the game 1-2 months to improve if it starts poor, but even that's pushing the limit
Shellshock is still in need of fixing...
SBMM is still a thing imo. They probably only changed it to determine your skill level every x days, so that you'll have some non SBMM lobbies before being "ranked". Every time I login after not having played in a while lobbies are super easy, after a couple of matches they'll get sweaty and stay sweaty.
hey ace i really respect you for remaining so positive even when you're talking about the negatives- keep up the good work :)
But in difficulty there isn't much difference between the 2
Yoga Wombat agreed
Eric Gill happens to me a lot I get the drop on somebody and I’m lighting them up only for them to turn around and shoot me once and I’m dead
WookiesYaUncle except they didn’t get sacked and got promoted. Activision made them both VPs.
Coundrey: fuck you fans i’ll never give u guys what u want
Activision: THAT is what our team needs, u’ve been promoted
Schofied is a VERY good game designer. I pin this all on Condrey personally.
The thing that i dislike the most is the rewards. For instance, what do you get for getting gold in every single weapon in the game? An ugly aluminum type camo. What do yo get for reaching max social score? A blue tick next to your name. What do you get for reaching master prestige? You get underwhelming uniforms and camos, but it's every 100 levels and it's not really worth it
there may be lots of wrong things but i still love this game :)
What do you love about it I can't play it for more than an hour tops.
@@Muzzaa Tell me a cod game u like to play and I will tell u what they did wrong :)

Bad hit detection
Bad balancing
Bad maps
Bad hit detection
as a HC player 1 of the biggest things that annoyed me and made me stop playing was the dam team killing, not sure if many people remember this but their was a vote on twitter awhile ago talking about if people wanted 3 kills to kick or rico, over all rico won 55%, but in the comment all people was saying was they like 3 kills to kick, after a week or 2 they posted they was keeping with the 3 kills to kick, let alone they also had a vote for DOM 100 and that won by a land slide but yet still decided on DOM 75,
Quickdraw issue made the game feel too campy you still have to pull back your left thumbstick last I check, ( not sure if it still do able now )
it just felt like they was not listening to hardcore player and the core play for DOM 100,
I think the biggest issue hasn't been addressed.
Maps were and are still my biggest problem with this game.
The PC version is unplayable now. After I stopped playing by the release of the first DLC, I wanted to try out all of the new changes and Commando division, only to experience CONSTANT and severe frame lag/hitching. It's extremely agitating and it's a shame.
poor map design - every interaction happens here and is a massive flaw in this game
the loading times with the annoying sledghammer sign / dog tag that placeholders in the create a class menu is infuriating.
shellshock is way too much with blur and screen shake, including for friendly grenades
no dedicated bolt action rifles worth using
they should have buffed weapons to be all powerful as the bar was at launch - not nerf the strongest and most fun to use weapons.
amount of score on objective modes
hit detection issues
launch disaster
slow level up
headshots almost always do not matter
supply drops and duplicate content beyond frustrating - reduce number of supply drops but decrease number of duplicates. Pool had too much filler to get top weapons.
sprint out times, health regen, underpowered score streaks, chain streaks not long enough, play of the game boring and broken
hey @TheXclusiveAce
Didn't even mention hit detection which has been the worst of any FPS I have ever played
I can't be the only person to point out the obvious - most issues were fixed long before the division update! Why does everyone act like ww2 changed drastically in one update, that's just not true!
Creppi Because it IS true. That update changed the entire meta.
No it didn't, It introduced unlimited sprint and removed the silencer as a division perk. Y'all just never maxed your airborne division
Actually it did change the game and the meta.
It seems that you are...
I didn't notice a big change either besides more customization options
Lol
Loot boxes and UI were trash and still are trash in this game.
Damn, sorry. Run on sentence much?
I just realized I did that. Lol My bad. You get the point. Haha. ✌🏻
Completely agree with all of your complaints
I agree with you to some extent however, we in the Middle East have not played most of the new maps. We played the base maps over and over again until we stopped playing WWII.
ww2 year 2 anyone?
Me too
Yess
I'd rather burn this game than play it for a second year.
@@BSJINTHEHOUSE420 but bo4 is trash lol

@@Illuminati-pr3di Calling BO4 bad when it hasn't released, lol. You probably suck at the game too. Funny how the folks that like this crap(WWll) are illiterate. The BO4 Beta, alone, has more content than Bore War ll, and the people that have played BO4 can't come back to this horrible, slow, and sluggish game(WWll). It's your opinion, and so is mines, but to say it's a top five COD(WWll) is absurd, and also calling a game trash when it hasn't released!
For us competitive players ranked was awful and single player ranked is still largely unplayable due to people dropping out, bloated ranked scores etc
SBMM. Every lobby is sweaty
There’s no SBMM lmfao
Yes, the connections are so weird in this game. Sometimes I even feel like mid game the connection will drop and I can no longer kill anyone, though it could be a placebo because of how inconsistent the connection is. And the frustrating thing is that when you find a good connection, as you said, even in the same lobby it is inconsistent
'What CoD ww2 did right' - 15mins.
'What CoD ww2 did wrong' - 18mins
I see what you did there...
I agree of course
What they did wrong is call it a COD game.
How
I did a 150 match order that gave me 6 zombie event bribes. After a week of grinding, I opened them and got 4 common bribes and 2 rare bribes. That was the last time I ever decided to do the big weekly order

Me watching this because I miss this game and didn't know why people hated this
There’s definitely pros & cons with this game but overall I think Cod Ww2 has blossomed into a beautiful game & one many will continue to enjoy for years to come.
I beg to differ! A lot of people will still be playing. Like myself, I love Black Ops 3 alot, more than WWII, but I hated BO4 beta.
I think that the over-arching thing I will remember about WWII was that there were so many missed opportunities. They really got so many things wrong, you had to wonder if they had ever played a COD game before.
Requisitions is BS
The complete 85 matches is completely unacceptable. I constantly feel drained and I begin to dislike the game. Obviously I don’t do it in one day. I did that contact once and as soon as I finished there was another one. I absolutely hate that

Fire shotguns
the launch killed it for me. no stealth class, bad maps and campy play style was enough for me to bury the game after a month
Also, I’m So glad Condrey was pushed out, it’s still going to always be in my bottom 3 cod games, maybe worst ever. It did get better but way to slow.
Phys Astra With Condrey and Schofield gone, I have more faith in Sledgehammer. Two of my three most disliked CoDs were made by them.
The number one thing they did wrong was "revamping" the order system aka getting greedy and removing by far the best way to earn weapons in any CoD so far. That ultimately put me and everyone I know off playing. Im guessing they lost ALOT of their playerbase that day and tbh most likely never went back, including me.
U.S.S. Texas is SO BAD

@@PU8698 yeah okay I'm with him on this one. NOTHING is a stretch
I play this game a lot, and there are positives for this game. But there are plenty of negatives. The standout ones for me are:
- Requisitions (I hate Req, it sucks. It gives bad players a chance to get high end killstreaks.)
- Scorestreaks (I only use Recon, Fighter Pilot, Fire Bombing and Paratroopers.)
- Shotguns (Specifically the M97, it’s just so annoying to have someone run up behind and insta kill me off a streak with a pump.)
- Incendiary Shells (Bad.)
- Collections (Blitzkrieg onwards, they were too expensive and they brought out too many guns at the same time.)
- Connection (Really inconsistent, sometimes I’ll have a 3 bar one match, and in the same lobby the next match, I’ll have a 1 bar.)
- Liberty Strike Orders onwards (Too many “complete matches” orders, and not enough Armory Credit orders.)
- MP Rewards (Too little too late.)
- XP Rates (Takes too long to rank up Soldier and Divisions, I have to grind out 10-15 matches of Shipment to rank up divisions, and Soldier XP rates just aren’t enough.)
- Grenade Spam and Tacticals (Grenades Spam was ridiculous, and I feel like I have to use Hunker or Armored on every class to counter it. And Gas and Stuns are broken.)
- C4 and Saboteur (Why was this introduced.)
- Supply Drops (Need I say more?)
- Variants (While some of them are really cool and look super good, the chance to get them is next to nothing.)
- And finally, Matchmaking.

I'm not too big a fan of aw as it was objectively unbalanced, but i would still consider it, at least, more fun than wwii.
