    at that point, the hose is shot anyways. the oil breaks it down. that hose must have been about 200k miles old. also if you tighten the clamp too hard on the orange seal (like everyone does), your hose will break down much sooner. no need to tighten it a lot. There is no pressure at this hose, just a vacuum. every sprinter van I buy over 200k I also rebuild the 2056vk turbo. The bearings are totally fine, but the metal seals are always very worn out and leaking oil into both sides of the impellers. I love these engines, Ive never had a problem with them, its the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. Flooring it on the highway also helps keep the intake manifolds and swirl valves clean.
