The dark walnut and the blue are perfect, good choice. So sorry about your vacation, how disappointing. Hopefully you got some rest and relaxation at least!
I just did a pleather chair. But reupholstered 1/2 of it. Have been a little reluctant to try a fabric piece, but this helps alot. What type of sealer did you use?
Gotta say honestly that initially I didn’t share your vision. I was in agreement with your husband; he knows you and knew you would do great. Well halfway through I still didn’t like it. But after that second coat-I did a 360. It’s beautiful. And the walnut stain took it back to “mansion furniture”. Bravo. I am proudly a subscriber now. Kudos
@TheFlippersGuide oh my. You were on crystal beach while it was coming through. I've rescued and bottle fed a newborn kitten that was abandoned. He was almost graced with the name beryl... but he's Buc-ee instead. Great video. Ty! I have a boucle chair so it looks like I'll be watching more Upholstery videos. Paint would have been great. It's my favorite chair so it has to be comfy.
Thank you so much! It feels smooth, almost like a pleather feel. It is perfect because it is wipeable and much more durable now. I did think about adding fabric softener, but the material was so old, that I thought it may damage it if it got any softer. Thanks for being here!!
So the reason we do light coats and let them dry between is for that reason. I have never had it go through to the foam when I do that. I have heard from some people who added too much water or too much paint, that they had that happen.
I love the color and the walnut looks lovely! It looks so cute with the pattern showing through. I think doing a quick sand (400 grit with a sponge) between coats, rather than waiting until the end, would help give it more consistent coverage but overall, i love the colors!
Wow!!, that turned out just lovely. The color is beautiful, and I like how the raised pattern still shows up from the fabric. The wood looks immaculate, well done. Are your daughter and your puppy fighting over the chair, 😂
Aww thank you so much! I absoluately love how the pattern still shows as well too! That dark wood made me so happy :) Lol, my daughter went to college so Ladybird is getting the chair most of the time now! She absolutely loves it!
I just gave up on applying Rit dye to my textured armchair, when I saw your post. Wow🤪. I’m going to try the bottom cushion and see what happens. Wish me 🍀 🌹
This is Beyond Paint! It is not a chalk paint. Check out the link in my description, and you can go see all the details on the paint. No prep, priming or sealing typically needed 🙌🏼🥰
I have paint I bought at a paint store for something else. Decided it was perfect color for my chair( it is a brocade). I am doing back first to make sure it works. To seal and make really soft can I use a wax or the one you use? Name of it please
I would love to know how much paint you used. I have a larger chair that I was considering painting and would like to know how much paint I would need. Enjoyed the video - also the cute dogs.
Great video!!..I often skip ahead because the host chats too much about everything but the project~~ not the case with your video, I enjoyed it start to end and now I can’t wait to start painting a chair I love except it’s color!!~ Oh, and I luv how your chair looks now!! Thank you
Aww thank you so much!! I appreciate your sweet comment and am so glad you are here! Can't wait to hear how your painted chair goes!! Be sure to come back and share!
It is definitely not a cotton feel, but it is smooth. Feels like a pleather. And what’s awesome is that now, it is wipeable. My dog loves sitting in it every day and I can wipe off the area her muddy paws mess up ☺️ AND!!! It has held up so far under all of the use 🩷
That vacuum was not empty. That was the first thing I noticed and thought, she needs to clean that vacuum out before she starts... why did you say it was empty when we all saw that's not true? A full vacuum right next to the dog who probably contributed to that.
Lol, I actually did empty the vacuum but forgot to hit record when I first started vacumming. Then I continued vacuuming. Unfortunately that hair was actually all in the chair. I'm pretty sure the owner had a cat who loved the chair as much as my puppy does now. Thanks for being here!
I could not believe you could paint fabric, but you did it and well! Wow!
Thank you so much 😊 Still loving it in my home!
I’m in love with that blue!!! I’m gonna have to try Beyond Paint next time I paint upholstery.
Thank you Katie! 💙 Yes 🙌🏼 I’m still wanting to try the faux leather look you did sometime 😍
Absolutely love that shade of blue
I love how it turned out 💙💙💙
I used the fabric spray paint on a vintage sofa I had on my back deck and it turned out fantastic and really lasted well in my elements!!!
I did the wood and all!!! No water process. Also patio swings and seating.
Oh nice!! That’s so good to know! How does the material feel after?
Fabulous!!! Looks great!! Painting fabric is a great way to change a piece!
Thank you! Yes!! 🙌🏼 I always get surprised by the difference 🥰
Nice job.
Thank you so much!! I have a new furniture makeover coming at the end of the month so be sure to keep an eye out for that!
Hi Annabelle 😍😍😍😍 well done Autumn!!!!
Thank you friend!! 😊💕
Turned out so pretty. Love the walnut color of the legs.
Thanks so much! I think it was the right choice 😍
Loved the color and the stain!! What a beautiful job you did!!
Thank you so much! I loved that contrast 😍💙
LOVE that color!!! 🩵And I never in a million would have thought you could paint fabric on a chair!!😱😍 May have to put this info to good use myself!😝
Thank you!! Isn’t that crazy? Yes, try it and let me know what you think 💕
Wow, that came out really nice. I like the color you chose.
Thank you!! I’m all about blues lately! 💙
Love that Annabelle got some prime time on the episode!! Y'all are so cute!!
Ha she was so fun to include on this one 💕😍💕Gotta add her while I can 😭💕
Nicely done!
Thank you! ☺️
Wow it looks like a whole different chair!
Right?! I am loving the new look 💙Thanks for watching!!
Pretty sure I’m going to try this myself in the near future. Thank you!
Yay!! Can't wait to hear how it goes! Thanks for being here!
The dark walnut and the blue are perfect, good choice. So sorry about your vacation, how disappointing. Hopefully you got some rest and relaxation at least!
Aww thank you, it was an easy makeover ☺️ We did get to go away on another trip and get a little relaxation 💕
Great Tutorial !!! Thank You!❤👍💥
Thanks so being here! So glad you loved it!
Love Ladybird!
She is rotten :) Thanks for being here!!
I just did a pleather chair. But reupholstered 1/2 of it. Have been a little reluctant to try a fabric piece, but this helps alot. What type of sealer did you use?
Oh nice! I want to learn to reupholster someday! 😍 It was beyond paints sealant

Aww yay!!! Thank you so much for being here and for sharing 🥰❤️
Were you in Galveston? I'm 15 miles from the beach there
I am outside of Beaumont, so we drive to Crystal beach and Galveston a lot 🥰 We love visiting Galveston

I like it I’m thinking about painting my bed frame from grey to a cream.
Thanks so much!! So glad you are here! Can't wait to hear how the painting goes!
This looks great! How does the chair feel? I've seen others use fabric softener in the paint mix to help "soften" the results?

What kind of paint did you use? Chalkboard Paint? I’ve done one chair but it didn’t turn out this nicely

This is beyond paint sealant. I have never used a different kind of paint on material, but definitely let me know how it works out!!
Name of sealant used?
It is linked in the video, it is from @beyondpaint 🥰
How does it feel????
It is a pleather feel, not soft like cotton but smooth feeling
I would love to know how much paint you used. I have a larger chair that I was considering painting and would like to know how much paint I would need. Enjoyed the video - also the cute dogs.
It depends on the size of the chair but I used one quart size with some left over for this chair ☺️ Thank you 💕🐶 My pups are so rotten 🤣
Great video!!..I often skip ahead because the host chats too much about everything but the project~~ not the case with your video, I enjoyed it start to end and now I can’t wait to start painting a chair I love except it’s color!!~ Oh, and I luv how your chair looks now!! Thank you

Is it honestly soft or can you tell it's been painted? Stiff?
It is definitely not a cotton feel, but it is smooth. Feels like a pleather. And what’s awesome is that now, it is wipeable. My dog loves sitting in it every day and I can wipe off the area her muddy paws mess up ☺️ AND!!! It has held up so far under

Would you paint velveteen? It has no pattern and is not woven. It’s a plush cut.
Hmm 🤔 I’ve never seen it done but you could test an inconspicuous area and see 🤷🏼♀️
✨The Mansion Chair ✨

Not here to see your DOG
😆 well then you are going to be very unhappy with all my videos 🐶
Great paint job!
Thank you Debbie!! I was so impressed with how it turned out. I’ll be using this paint on a project in 2 weeks and can’t wait to share!!!
