- After taking delivery of our coach after documenting the build process, we finely show off the inside of the coach and talk about some changes we made.
This is a 2014 Tiffin Allegro Bus, model 45LP, that was built between January and March of 2014.
We hope you enjoy this final segment that ends our complete build of our coach. To read and view the complete build information, you will find it begins here... www.outsideourb...

This 45LP has the best bathroom/closet combo in the world.
I have been watching many videos of many different RV's and I must say that your coach is one of the most beautiful I've seen on TH-cam. You're so fortunate to have it, I could only dream of having one like yours. I am thinking of entering the RV world and I just hope I will meet other folks as nice as the two of you. Happy travels!
I just love the way you two explain things in real world knowledge. I have learned so much and my husband is now watching your videos and learning as well. He is even mustering up the courage to drive a longer RV!! Thank you!!
:-)
This is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for. Every change you made…the sofa, the TV, etc., is what I would do. It’s perfect and you should be so proud of what you’ve done!!
You both are the nicest couple I’ve ever seen on TH-cam! Thanks for sharing your home guys
I rarely comment...but I loved this video. I bought my first Tiffin yesterday at the FL Supershow (after 6 months of researching (I bought the 36LA). I get it in about 10 weeks. Your video inspired me!! Great job!
Thank you kindly for writing us Tim. Great that we could be of help in such a purchase choice.
"Thank you so much guys!.. Fantastic.. I really enjoyed your tour of your new motorhome & the changes you have made.. Which I totally agree with.. As you say.. You live in this RV Bus Motorhome full time, and as it is your home all year round, you want it as comfortable & serviceable as much as possible..
I have seen your other videos, After 1 year & after 2 years.. & I really enjoyed those videos too..I myself look forward to RV in the future, and find watching videos such as yours great value & look forward to seeing more of your adventures in the future.. Many thanks.. Stay safe.. God Bless you both & your cats'.. Doc J in Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, Qld, Australia..
Once Again - Both of You are Outstanding with Your Expertise and Knowledge on What Works and What Does Not... Thanks For Your Overview and Insight.
We were looking at a Tiffin Allegro today... I thought of you the whole time!!! I SO want one!!
I have a feeling Tiffin got sick of you guys and said, "OH NO HERE THEY CAME AGAIN!" Great job, you are both very smart and know how to get what you need. God bless you both.
We've just started exploring Tiffin coaches. Despite the date of this video, found your insights VERY helpful. Thank you.
David - thanks for sharing. We have a '13 45LP and love it ... yes, we didn't know about the light dimming feature ... duh! The changes to the couch are interesting, we'll dig into that some more. We have the pre-herringbone floor and the couch extension drops onto one of the small tiles as you pull it out, breaking the tile. I also see you have the light colored recliner, but it's a different shade to the couch ... Tiffin started with a chocolate color recliner in ours, but I had it swapped out on the line. We've now replaced it with a wine cooler which fits between the fireplace and dining area ... who needs a recliner anyway? I'm envious of your heated floor! Also notice you don't have a TV up front.
fantastic coach, may you have good and healthy days with it.
You sure do have ALOT of lights & ALOT of cupboard space!!! VERY BEAUTIFUL Motorhome!!! Thanks for the tips & tour!!! HUGS!!!!
You guys have a great attitude. Bet you guys are fun to be around. Like all your changes. We are Tiffin owners. We love Tiffin rigs.
You are so fortunate to have such a lovely home. Tiffin seems to very well at all their work. What amazes me is that Tiffin works with the customer so well! Very happy for you I can only dream. :)
Thank you! I really appreciate your sharing the many improvements you had incorporated into your RV. Lots of very helpful hints for making a motorhome much more livable. Thank you!
Neal Davis Sure thing. Make sure you also look at our 1 Year walk through of the same coach after living in it full time for the past year. th-cam.com/video/gfwq1EjGW5U/w-d-xo.html
David Bott Thanks, David. Will do.
Wow ! You two are absolutely great !
You both taught me a lot and I'm preparing to get mine soon !
Everything you guy's show me , are helpful great tips along the way .
Thank you both very much !
Great Great Job !
And you didn't bore me !
I loved it all ! 👍
Very helpful. Thanks David and Brenda, exceptional job...
Wow, very impressive! Tiffin has come a long way since the 1985 Allegro that I own. I can only imagine what this must have cost you. Thanks for sharing!
Great Video & some awesome advice on the little changes made....
Safe travels...
Thank you kindly. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great video David. I've been following along on all of your new coach videos. Congrats on your new home on the road. Next time you make it down here we hope to visit you again. Take care.
Thanks Chris. Not sure where we will be back in your area again, but we will be sure to say hello!
I love your RV, love your cats and you're a lovely couple too.
Best of luck with the new coach. Great ideas with the pull outs in the kitchen. We have been following along on the build. We are headed to the factory for a tour and will look into some of your suggestions for upgrades to our 2011 coach.
Very informative. Thank you both for the lessons learned and your perspective. We are just starting to look at coaches ourselves.
Hi...Thanks. Be sure to check out out video on blog post after being in this coach for one year. www.outsideourbubble.com/one-year-in-our-tiffin-45lp-allegro-bus-our-thoughts-and-video-walk-thru
Epic Coach. Interior space is amazing. Congrats.
Thanks for your video and Tiffin insight. I just purchased my next lifestyle, a Tiffin Phaeton and look forward to the experience. What a spectacular coach you all have! Happy Travels!
We love your coach especially your couch set up
Watching your video in sunny Stoke on Trent Staffordshire UK. Great video beautiful RV. All the very best in your new home.. regards.. Mark
Thanks Mark. They did a great job and thus far it is an outstanding coach for full-timers.
Great Video. I wish there was more videos out there like this one!!!
Thanks. We had fun doing the entire series. ;) Glad you liked it.
Thank you very much for sharing this info. Very informative. It was great to see a tour from an owner perspective.
My husband will retire in 6 years and we're planning on being on the road full time in our own RV! I noticed you said that you worked out of your RV; may I ask what kind of business you run from your motor home? My husband is in IT management; so of course, the topic of him doing some IT work on the road has come up. Thank you for being such gracious hosts and sharing your beautiful home with us.
Hi...We own and operate a number of on-line web communities. More info about us... outsideourbubble.com/about-us/
I really enjoyed this video! Thank You for putting it together.
More than welcome. Hope it helps you out in some way.
I just purchased a Tiffin coach similar to yours..............Very nice coach, thanks 4 sharing this video :)
I recently subscribed to your channel. The two of you have fantastic personalities and it comes through in your videos.
I'm in the process of doing my homework on a future purchase of a coach in the 40 to 45 foot range. Your experience and perspectives have been reassuring in considering a larger coach.
Lastly, your feedback as to the thoughtful changes that you made in your coach not only helps manufacture to build a better product, but helps to inform a beginning buyer.
Thanks Russ. We also did a video on "Floor Plans" and also in on "Is a 40+ Motor Coach too Big". Well actually we have done a lot of videos. But those also may be of help.
Very nice! My wife and i love your videos. Hope to someday meet you. we are just preparing to sell our house and go full time. We are starting out a little shorter with a 32B Allegro Breeze. Love the park in New York you are in also. Safe Driving. Brian & Patty from Oregon
Very nice video David and Brenda !! A lot of excellent tips, and the modifications you made to your unit are awesome, I agree with your statement that Tiffin should incorporate them into future models, just makes sense !!
Good job !! :-D
Thanks Nick. Glad you liked it. Not bad for one take. :)
WOW! Thank you for sharing. I just LOVE your coach. Someday... LOL. I currently have 30ft class C, but when i retire, I'm moving up. :)
I love your videos...take as long as you need. Personally prefer at least 30 minutes or more.
Love your rig! My husband and I bought a used 2013 FLEETWOOD Discovery 40e in Sept 2019. We only got to use it once befor the snowbirds descended on Phoenix but hope to do a nice long trip this summer to Minneapolis to see my family and Buffalo New York to see my husband's family. The layout of ours is very similar to your TIFFIN but ours is a 40 ft. Bath and 1/2. Would have loved to get the Tiffin but wasn't in the budget. Was hoping to be able to meet you guys this year but wasn't able to arrange that. Maybe next year.
Well if going to Buffalo this Summer, you might as well look into staying at SouthwoodsRVResort.com where we are May - Oct! 40 mins to East side of Buffalo. If you look to book their, let them know you are followers of ours. :)
Hi Steve, great job on video, itchy to get back on the road.... walt
Name is David, not Steve. :) But thanks.
David Bott hi, so sorry , I was on my 2nd martini and not paying attention, ha ha....anyway great video with lots of super improvement ideas. Had a 42 ft Mandalay for years in another life and thinking about getting into a unit , your's is on my short list. Happy New Year, going to check out your web site/ blog. Thanks Walt
New into the lifestyle David, as we've just gotten out looking at coaches, and Tiffin is our favourite brand to date. We often wonder about the length of the 45' being problematic at some sites/campgrounds? Our plan is to try a month or two at a time to start with, and see how it goes before making a decision on anything close to fully timing. Just happened to be out today looking at RV's and saw a '15 Allegro Bus, albeit at 37', having many of the same options you do, but in a smaller version. Beautiful indeed!
+Powerstroke98 Hi...We really have never had any issues find places to stay with out coach. Yes, for sure some places you may not be able to fit like some national parks. However in such areas there are always places just outside the parks close by where you would fit. ;) We have been traveling from 2008 and have never had any issues even when we went over to Newfoundland. :) It all come down to wants, needs, and then the floor plan for it has to fit you and your life style.
You and your wife are the sweetest couple of all time...my husband and I aren't able to retire for a while, but I dream of this lifestyles...out of curiosity what did this cosy.
Hi...Thanks for the complement. A coach like this MSRP price is about $435,000. But then you come done in price when you start to talk. Expect about 25 points off. Please be also aware, they are of course other more expensive as well as less expensive choices. The most important thing is if the coach and it's floor plan fits your needs and lifestyle. BE SURE to check out many and once you get down to a few, SIT and STAY in the each for at least 3 to 4 hours. NOT KIDDING. It is the only way you will get to kind of "feel" the coach. We found this coach to be more like an apartment vs a motorhome like others felt. You can follow along at out travel blog if you wish... OutsideOurBubble.com You can even subscribe and get notices when we make a new post. Take care and thanks again.
Great job and a beautiful home!
WOW! Loved the video. First of all, CONGRATULATIONES!!! It's really nest to see people have something they can enjoy. Hope all is good and have a great day.
Great video... thanks for sharing. I have been looking at Tiffin coaches but 45' is a bit too large for our needs.
Good video. Thanks. How 'bout a video dedicated to your rear wardrobe 'electronics cabinet?' ie, explaining your electronics setup. This is a little understood area of the coach. Regards.
Thank you for letting me dream, your coach is beautiful and so much storage, I am thankful to God for all he has blessed me with but after watching this video wish he could bless me just a little more lol..😂you are blessed, praying God will protect you both in your travels!
Congratulations!
Just curious as to the other coaches that were on your short list and what things won out in favor of Tiffin. Thanks for making the videos.
Hi....Here you go... www.outsideourbubble.com/2014-tiffin-allegro-bus-45lp-now-ordered
Awesome Man!
Love ur videos! watching everyone of it
Hey you two! thanks for all the effort and innovative effort you put into this video! very helpful!
Great video, thanks! I would have liked to seen the refrigerator. I’m assuming it is a residential one. Also assuming that there is a pantry?
Yes, full size residential. No pantry in this one. We have a large pull out drawer under the sink that holds can goods etc.
Great video! Nice RV.
Thank you very much. It was longer than we thought, but it was RV'er to RV'er vs Dealer to RV'er. :)
Awesome review you guys, thank you!
Loved the video and what you have done to your home. I have always loved this motorhome and with some of the changes you have made it makes me want to go order mine today. But a couple of quick questions. First off in the bedroom since you have been in yours for a few weeks what suggestion would you make for the bed and what options did the give you? Also, on the exterior what options or changes did you make out there (ie: lighting, entertainment, power slides in bay) . Love all the info you have given. Can't wait to see or hear more.
Thanks from NC
Greetings...
In the bedroom we went with the King bed vs the Queen. We just like a larger bed. But the queen would offer you more space when you enter into the room from the main cabin as it is not as wide. Seeing we went with the king we also had the windows removed from each side. We did this because one of the windows is only about 8 inches from the other slide so it is useless but also because the valences came over all the way to the bed side it self.
I did my own LED lighting under the coach and under the main slide. It it now an option on the 2015 to get it around the underside of the coach. We also did the fridge/freezer as we full time and use it and also went with one slide out tray but had them but it in the rear vs the standard front area. We did that because it would make it hard to get to about a 4x4 space that would be behind the fridge/freezer if they slide tray was in the front bay.
Good luck! If you talked to Bob Tiffin, he has an open door policy (heck, he has no door!) tell him we helped you. ;)
I hope in my next life I can be on of your cats! ;)
Thanks very much. We have six cats and was trying to decide how to road travel with a pride of cats. We don't plan on moving around the US, only using it to move to and from Nova Scotia to Georgia. Trying to decide between a fifth wheel with truck and motorhome and pulling a vehicle. Are motorhomes very expensive to repair and insure?
Sorry to say that is a loaded question as it would come down to you and the type in question. So it is hard to say anything about insurance as people are not the same. We went with a Class A based on storage space as it offers so much more in the way of storage than a 5th Wheel. We can also connect and disconnect our tow car in 3 mins. Try that with the 5th wheel. :)
I would rather have a motorhome, husband likes 5th wheel. He believes 5th wheels are less expensive to repair, I think motorhomes are easier to drive. We have a great SUV, don't see a reason to purchase a big truck just to tow a fifth wheel. Also don't want another car insurance policy for a truck that would we would seldom use.
Hi David so i was wondering how insulated is the tiffen? Have you stay in cool or cold temperatures? How well does it block outside nosie?
Excellent video! Best I have seen of its type :-)
I love it. Thank you for all the great ideas. Great vid.
Absolutely wonderful video very informative good ideas you have👍🏻👍🏻❤️
Now...I've been wondering where can I check out the proper documentation when it comes to licensing to drive an RV? I did a bit of research and I will be going with Prevost. I know it differs state by state but where can I find this documentation?
Hi Steve...For some reason I could not reply to your question on our video walk though of the 45LP...so I am trying to reply to you by just making another comment.
We have had it down to 18 degrees and the coach kept at 64 degrees with just the heated floor and fireplace. When we got up we just ran the heat pumps for about 20 mins and we were at 70.
Noise is hard to comment on for coaches. We find this one much more quite from outside noise than out other coach which was a 2008 Tour Master.
Hope you receive this. Not sure why I could not reply to your comment directly.
Why Are other Coaches like The Newmar King air and Newell Coach so much more money , when they look the same as the Tiffin ?? is it the features or the build Quality ???
Ray Rocco For one, they are slowly hand built and very detail oriented. They are not built in 4 days for the main coach. They are not painted in two days. It takes months to build one and it can be customized. IMHO, they are not the best for full time living as they do not have the storage space needed to carry everything and cabinet space inside is also usually lacking. But they are very well built.
David Bott Is that storage space INSIDE the RV or are you referring to the bays underneath? Personally, I think Newmar's are on par with Tiffin and I'd FT in any of their luxury RV's (Mountain, King, London or Essex) over a Tiffin...but that's just me & my opinion! ;-)
Look forward to future videos by the way! Really enjoy your channel!
MotorhomeReviews Newmar and others are on par with space. In this case however, I we had more inside space as the baths and kitchens are smaller in a Newmar. (Though I do like Newmar also.)
MotorhomeReviews I updated my reply a I had thought I replying about Provosts or Newell type coaches which are much more limited in space.
This coach makes my safari diesel pusher look like a tent
David, thanks for the great videos. We just picked up our 45UP this week. I'd like to do the same thing you did with your TV. What is the item number of the mount you got from Amazon? Thanks again,
Hi…
Here is what we used for the TV…
In this case I needed mine to be able to be pulled straight out and then I could turn it based on it being 50/55” and how I needed it to come out. So a dual arm mount allowed for that…
goo.gl/Mg2QTG
The locks were standard 10lbs catches. In my case I used two. One on each arm…
goo.gl/uS8EVL
I used two 10 lbs latches. You can see how I mounted them to the arms in the photo and how I mounted the the entire thing to 3/4” plywood that I screwed into where they had their mount.
Hint…Put the latches on the arms and WITHOUT the TV on it, close the mount to see where to put the catches on the board and put them in place. Then put the TV on the mount. It took me a few choice words before I hit my hand to my forehead when it hit me to do that vs trying to guess where to put them. :)
Love it man! Wow that's a rolling house?
WOW it is awesome to say The least so amazing What a Life of Rylie SUPERB HOME
What kind of motor is in the coach ? diesel or gasoline . Who built the motor? What jobs do you guys do ?
+Going Cucko For some reason I you have no Reply button under your comment so I hope you see this. We use wood pine pellets so no dust at all. We actually buy horse bedding pellets as it is like $7 for a 40 lbs bag and it last a very long time.
+David Bott love your cats, i have two, little guy and little guy 2!
David Bott n
***** It did not...Under $400k
***** Normaly those are Prevost or Newell
Just watched your 1year video , awesome . I maybe missed it but did you say what you guys do for a living? Sorry to ask if you did I just subscribed to your channel after watching the yr 1 video and love your style. I would like to do something like this later just am a little unsure if my personality would do good on the road , did you have to adjust a lot to being by yourselves and how is it not being around family?
Hi...Please see... www.outsideourbubble.com/about-us :)
Love you guys.... Love the cats we have 3....and I can tell yall in love bc yall look alike.... Act alike.... Lol....hope to meet yall one day on the road.
You guys are great and we hope to meet you in person some day. We have a 2013 Phaeton and love it but thinking of upgrading to the 45 at some point. I am 6’9” tall and the phaeton has a raised floor in the bathroom over the engine that makes me have to duck. The 45 doesn’t. One thing I didn’t see in your video is a pantry. Was that eliminated in the 45?
The 45LP did not have one next to the fridge. We used a hidden one under the sink that slides out. They no longer make the 45LP...but the current ones do have one next to the fridge.
Do you have any type of air cleaning system?
Cloud lights look great. How hard was it to add the multi color cloud lighting? Cost? And who is the light manufacturer?
Hi...I did it all with $17 LED strip and a $10 controller. It way easy because the coach had white lighting up their so I already has 12V. Here is very small RF controller... amzn.to/2RtYZ2k and here are the LED's... amzn.to/2AHI2vU
@@DavidBott Thank you. BTW, excellent videos/great ideas.
Great info...Thanks for sharing...
Steve Lorne Your welcome. We also have a One Year walk through after living it in full time for the year.
Wonderful video. I have 2 cat and am worried about dust, etc. Since this video was published, have you made any cat related changes? Litter box in shower or electronic litter box? If you were to buy again, would you go with the Alegro Bus? Thank you so much.
Hi...No changes at all to how we handled the littler box type or location we choose for it. Yes, we would buy another Tiffin Allegro Bus if the were to come out with a floor plan we like as much as the one we have now or better. They, or anyone else for that matter, have not made one to our liking sense 2105 which was the last year of the 45LP floor plan. They have nice layouts, but they do not "fit us" and our needs and likes.
David, thanks for the info. One more question. When the screen is pulled out how far can the screen be moved to the right and left?
That would depend on your coach layout. But assuming a 45LP for us, we can point it all the way towards the table or the windshield.
I've got the 45UP. For the best viewing I need to move the screen to the left about 6 to 8 inches. I was wondering if the mount your using has that much lateral movement.
I would have to say it would. BTW...For your new bus, check out CoachProxy.com :)
Could you possibly tell me what camera and editing software you use
where do i find that lambs wool pad and pole you use for washing?
Really enjoyed this. We are trying to get the courage to get outside our bubble. One thing that’ I feel is very important to me is the living room I have been thinking how to redesign anything I purchase and I love yours I’m going to watch all your videos and subscribe. Are you still on the road ?
I would love to be able to ask you some questions
The one question I’ll ask you now is would you be interested in selling that coach ?
I’m serious
Thanks so much
hello david, i found you guys today and have really enjoyed the videos ive seen so far, i wanted to ask about your kitty situation, did you get the cats at the same time if not do they all get along, i love your kitties, they look very loveable , your coverage of your motor home was very well done, im in central Alabama, im not a motor home owner, but i am a woodworker and have a nice shop if you ever need the use of a shop when your this way, feel free to contact me, enjoy the rest of your summer, oh i wanted to ask if you guys have been to alaska or if you had plans to go up, we lived there for 15 years.
Hi...All our furry kids are rescues. So not at the same time and they all do get along. Living in the coach for them has not seemed to be any issue. Thank you kindly for the offer. :)
Great video.
....great tips...
I recently purchased a 2014 Bus and need to know how many quarts of oil is needed for a full oil change?
Great video guys, well done :)
umm,,? Is your coach built upon the MCI MOTOR COACH SHELL???
Tiffin makes their own chassis called PowerGlide.
i watched this few weeks ago ... now i rewatch this ,,, help please i am in a time loop :D anyway nice verry nice video ..only unlike its the Griffin company lol ...
such a nice tiffin
Loved it
Wow you live in a rolling mansion!
You guys are great.
I ENJOYED VERY MUCH.
A very nice couple you are and I like what you have done. :)
Thank you so much on both parts. :)
So big and so nice !
I've got a request , van you make a video tour of your rv with slides in ?
You can see that in the time lapse build video. Here is a link to one...
Tiffin 45LP Build Time Lapse - Final Process
...at about 3:42 in the slides are put in for a test drive.
Take care.
David Bott
thank you !!!! that's because my passion is living while moving !
Good job yu guys.
28 minutes isn't to long, Could have gone another 10 or 15 minutes showing the Cockpit and outside features, Outstanding Job on the presentation, Hope Tiffin watched this, Thanks !!
How much did it cost
I would guess at least 480K maybe a bit more. When you get into these long diesel pushers, add aqua-hot systems and other goodies it can add up quick. My brothers 2012 Prevost bus conversion was just under 2 million. Sick $$ into these things. Jet aircraft leasing is not much more expensive. Thats why I'm a fiver guy. 85k + a 60k truck gives you just as much or more accouterments for under 150k. And you don't need a toad, cuz your driving your vehicle. Unhook and go explore. JMHO and if you don't want to go new-new take 35-40% off. Still, they are not as bad as that most evil toy, the boat. Check out the prices of a 23' Boston Whaler, Renegade, or Jupiter center console w/dual outbaords. Holy F$$k!!!!
I feel for your salesperson.
