How To Operate a 2016 Tiffin Allegro Bus...and Most Luxury Diesel Motorhomes

  • While this is a nearly complete walk-thru on a 2016 Allegro Bus, many of the components and features will be common to most luxury diesel Class A motorhomes. I was asked to keep it short but there really are just too many features to be short.
The inside tour starts at 20:30
Sorry about the wind outside, I did my best.
    Thanks for watching!!!

You've just made one of the best coach walk thru video. Every single coach made should had a CD like this explaining all of it's features. Great job! Thanks for posting.

James ...great advice regards the roof on any of these RV's.
I find the "mess" of sealant applied around exterior AC units, fans, ariels, etc used on the roof by most if not all manufacturers ,just because its not seen , is unacceptable. I aint no defender of the rich ,I'm a poor guy trying to buy a good 4000hh tent ⛺ and kit for solo camping. However I dont like anyone rich or poor getting ripped off, and your educating me .

James, if you were looking to spend around $200,000 on a Class A diesel pusher, based on your experience, which make model year would you be seeking out? A newer tiffin allegro bus or newmar high-end like this one you're walking through? OR a mid-2000s Monaco/holiday rambler, country coach, travel supreme/entegra? Or would you hold out for an older prevost bus conversion? Your intimate knowledge of these would go a long way to help understand what is best!

Thor owns Airstream and has for many decades. Do you see Thor’s acquisition of Tiffin as Positive, Negative or Benign?
They appear to be much more complex than my Airstream (which is pre-Aqua-therm{?} heat). While it seems like a nice feature it also seems like it could easily be very, very expensive to repair.
I guess I would want a Tiffin if I were going to be Full-Timing it. Otherwise I’ll stick with AS.

That's a 50 amp 240 volt plug. It would plug into a four wire range outlet. Just letting you know. Now everything in the RV is 120 volt, however I will bet your main breaker inside is a 2 pole 50 amp breaker, with one side doing 1/2 the breakers and the other side doing the other 1/2. Not knocking you, just saying what I know as an electrician, and in facebook groups so many get confused on the difference between 30 amp 120 and 50 amp 240 volt.

I'll definitely make sure I add hand washing to every video to make sure that people know that I wash my hands. 95% of the time I wear gloves too.

only thing I do not like is that DEF/DPF crap, maybe you can register it in Mexico and delete it?

You can send the ECM out for reprogramming and eliminate / delete all that stuff on the Cummins L9 depending on your state inspection process. Was going to do it but it works so well and the exhaust is unbelievably clean. No soot in pipe, no smoke and no smell...plus I am getting over 11 mpg on the 37' version of this coach so why mess with a good thing.
