VoiceMeeter Potato is the latest version and offers a few more controls. The same setup in Banana also works in Potato. I believe if you use an actual mixer (analog or digital) through USB, BUTT should recognize it (--UPDATE-- Yes this does work). BUTT has been updated to 0.125 and doesn't include SAVE because it auto saves if you close it. One last thing. CABLE-A Output didn't work in my situation, because I have RadioDJ going though Virtual 2 as Voicemeeter Aux.
I use Cable-A,B,C,D for things like Skype, Free Conference Call (Desktop App), Google Voice, Zoom, OBS or direct connection from RadioDJ to the encoder.

Anthony Taylor now altacast doesn't work with radiodj plugin, they stopped working and updating it
Version 2.0 and above no longer supports streaming plugins. There will be a Pro version coming out that may have the ability to use a streaming plugin.

I’ve learned a great deal from this series. 40 years experience programming commercial of the air stations but near zero background in software engineering or things like streaming, which leads me to my current issue.
Once I connect RDJ 2.6 to Butt, how difficult is it to feed stream service providers like Zenos or others?
I have Zeno too and yes you can connect to their servers too.
Does it work in windows 11. The option Mixed Bus isn't available on menus.
That option is based on your soundcard and it's drivers. If it was available in Win10 but is not in Win11, that means the drivers work differently due to the operating system.

When I set it to Virtual cable, music stops playing in RadioDJ and it won't work until I switch back to my speakers. Can you help?
Anytime you change the audio settings in RadioDJ, you must close RDJ to restart it.
Using your tutorial I am up and running on Zeno and really appreciate the help.
I do have a question.
BUTT seems to be going into “Idle” state more frequently.
Is there a setting beside the defaults that is causing this?
Not sure which parameter would cause this.
Any chance you will be producing a tutorial on connecting SE Caster?
Yeah I have heard others say the same thing. I use SE Caster free version. Do a Google search

Hi, thanks for the tutorial. I plan to use an external physical mixer (Behringer xenyx502 podcast set with external sound card) for RADIODJ. I already downloaded a "Voicemeeter" as per your suggestion coz I plan to play music and talk on RADIODJ... Do I still need this Virtual Audio Cable in order to braodcast on RADIODJ?
Virtual cables can't connect to physical hardware. I only use them to connect between two different software.
Can these programs be used for remote broadcasts?
Hmmm there is something called Vban on Voicemeeter you may want to look into. It does realtime audio via a network but it may work across the Internet. I haven't tried it.

You will always need to have a website, mobile app or be listed in online radio directories for people to be able to listen to your station.

Good morning Roderick, I'm stuck here I need your help please. I just download RDJv2.0.0.3 and I've searched and cannot find the Root folder in RDJv2.0.0.3 can you please help.

GIL'ZIT ENTERTAINMENT When installing the new version it will create a folder named RadioDJ v2 look for that folder. It may be inside the location you chose when setting it up.
Don’t mean to be rude, if I may call you ( Carter ) Carter RadioDJ is installed it’s playing on my computer like windows Media. I followed your instructions trying to connect through AltaCast to ShoutCast, when I get to the edit part lame mp3 is not showing I the drop down box. I need your help straight up. I’m not making any $ right now but will pay you for remote services please. Let me know I don’t know how long that will take maybe an hour again please I’ll wait for your response. Thank you!

For those with this same problem the lame encoder does not come with some streaming encoders and you must download it from another site. Do a search for lame.dll
b.u.t.t. keeps closing when I try to launch it can someone help?
Not sure what could be causing that but I would uninstall/reinstall it and try it again.

Why use BUTT ? Why u dont use radiodj´s own streaming plugins ?
Kaj Bergström People use BUTT because they use an external mixer or Voicemeeter
The new version can no longer use a streaming plugin so you would have to use a third party streaming encoder such as B.U.T.T. There are about 13 plugins that come with RadioDJ none of which deal with streaming or the use of Audio DSP plugins. I'm using MB Recaster because it allows me to use the StereoTool plugin I purchased.

Do you still need the virtual cable if you're using a FocusRite or Presonus as your soundcard? I can't get any output to BUTT from Radio Dj
It really depends on how you use and run your station. I use virtual cables to go from RadioDJ directly to the encoder. I talk thru the Input of RadioDJ.

RadioDJ is a joke. It is no where close to SAM. There is no support for it. That new version crashes a lot when importing song for no apparent reason. They have no clue of how to fix it. You get what you paid for. 0 nothing
