While floundering around trying to solve the mentioned RadioDJ / MariaDB-10.6 issue - not realising at that stage that it was the MariaDJ version that was the problem - I installed the then-latest beta version of RadioDJ, namely 2.0.3.1. No problems noticed so far (using that with MariaDB version 10.5.12), as explained in my earlier post, so I have left my setup like that. It "ain't broke" so I'm not "fixing" it. Anyone found any problems with that RadioDJ version?

Hello Mr. Roderick, ..you sir are an excellent instructor! Setting up SEcaster I have an issue . In the title update my Radiodjv2 folder isn't showing . the SECaster folder is there after I click the folder with the green arrow, but when I click the second time the word download with a blue arrow pointing down ward appears, the Radiodjv2 folder never appears. Is there another way for me to find that Radiodjv2 folder? Thanks
Try by removing/emptying that field then clicking the browse button to locate the NowPlaying.txt which is in the root RadioDJ folder.

There are many if you do a search but it depends on your budget and whether or not you want to be licensed or not.
For starting out I would recommend unlicensed, WebHostingShop.co.uk and licensed, StreemLion.com

Regarding MariaDB - which is a better fork (variant)of MySQL - the latest version (10.6) did not play nice with RadioDJ. But 10.4 and 10.5 worked fine. So I elected to use the latest one that worked, namely 10.5.12. No problems noticed so far. Anyone found any? What's the reason for choosing 10.3 in this presentation?

Great Videos! I broadcast from own equipment using skype and my mic & phone line works through mix board, but my background music or sfx can not be heard on their end. Not sure if it is my external sound card, is their any options out there that I could use for this to work.
My question would be: how is Skype getting audio, is it from the board and if so then anything coming through the board should be able to be sent to Skype as well.
Oh, I see you want the caller to hear everything. This can cause internal feedback so the only way to get around that is to have a mixer that has two or more AUX Sends. Aux 1 would send audio (your voice and the callers voice) to the computer to go over the air and Aux 2 would send your voice, and the stations to the caller so they can hear. This does require at least 2 sound cards.

Yes you can use the software in that way. It's actually a great way to do shows.

Yes just simply give each database it's own name. The default database name is usually radiodjv2 but you can change it to whatever you want such as: jazz104fm, bluesfm, gospeljoy, etc. As long as each installation has a different database name you can have as many stations as your PC can deal with.

It would be an important feature for someone to finally demonstrate what they are actually and correctly using. Because e.g. to a radio external website e.g. I can't connect to it via Ftp because all service providers also ask for a username for the ftp connection. So, where and what to enter for a connection?

Well, I don't own RadioDJ so there's not much I can do there. I would scan the system with Malwarebytes.org and CCleaner.com then restart the system then redownload RadioDJ to see if that helps. Sounds like your system may be compromised and it's corrupting the download.

Does this have something to do with the program being free? Are you familiar with this error message?
It's a common problem. There is a feature that allows you to set access for people. Click on the little man at the bottom right and type in admin and password is admin. I'm on the road but I do have a Locked Out video look for it.

No you do not but hard drive organization makes thing much easier to keep up with.
It's great but a little confusing! look, No sound feed comes from my RadioDJ to Voicemeter and there's no Voicemeter Aux out even as it shows in your tutorials
Voicemeeter is a go between two or more softwares and sound interfaces. It's not needed for RadioDJ to operate but used rather to create a mix minus setup, generally what radio mixing boards have. If you are getting no sound from it, there are way too many reasons to list as to why. Try this out, work RadioDJ without voicemeeter, then play with Voicemeeter without RadioDJ to learn it. Then see how to connect the two and your soundcards.
I need this for my online radio station I have a rane one controller and wish I could connect it to do live radio but im not computer savy to do all that like you do, would pay to have it done get back with me.

Where did you install it to? RadioDJ works better on other drives outside of the C drive. The C drive can add security features to the RadioDJ folder that could cause it to not work properly.

Hey Roderick - I'm going to be broadcasting to Live 365. Which encoder do you recommend? I was using Altacast, but after having to reformat and do a fresh install, the Altacast won't accept the Lame MP3 or AAC encoders. I'm already setting up Radio DJ.
You have B.U.T.T., SE Caster, MBRecaster, Rocket Broadcaster along with others. My favorite is SE Caster but you may not like that one. So download them all and test them out.
Hi Roderick please help, I am getting an error message when ever I try to import music it says "an exception occurred please see log." I have not been able to get rid of it. Please help.
Can you post what the error log says? It's inside a folder in the RadioDJ folder called Logs. I would need to see what is happening to get an idea what could be causing the error.

@@xeddiem9096 Hmm your database could be corrupt. HideiSQL has a repair feature that may fix the problem. Also make sure you are NOT using MAriaDB 10.6 or higher.

Sorry to hear your struggles with it. When you run it for the first time it will ask to be connected to the database. It is at that time you will create one and use the password you created when you installed the database.
Oh yeah also, if you use MariaDB, don't go over version 10.5

Hmmm never heard of this. Are you installed on the C:\ drive? If so, Windows may have put permissions on it. Try running it as Administrator and also set the folder properties to allow everyone with full control.
I gave up. Gonna try another software. The thing is it's the only one that gives you all the features for free.

It's now called Metadata Export. You set it up the same way as before but the button at the bottom has a new name and the template folder is now Metadata Export

@@tommyjohnson8323 You have to run it. Right click on the .exe and select run as administrator and follow the prompts on the screen. It will then setup the folder and files. Just make sure you choose where to install the files and do not install it over what you have. Install it into a new folder with a different name than what you have already. Why not using SQL as the radioDJ website recommends?
The same guy that created MYSQL and lost it to big corp. also create MariaDB - it's identical minus the big corp. stuff.

It means MYSQL/MariaDB is not installed or it's not running. Go to Services and look to see if MYSQL or MariaDB is listed and running. Go to Task Manager to get to the Services Tab

You may not have the correct password to MYSQL.
@@RodericksRadioDJTutorials Thanks for coming back to me. I managed to figure it out! I completely removed windows MySQL and MariaDB. Reinstalled MariaDB, restarted the computer (I think that’s an important step) then reinstalled RadioDJ and it works!

Only if you plan to talk on your station and do not want the echo that happens.
I have more of a buzz. Is the software more like a sound card, I use an external card & a mixer for the station. Will this get reid of the buzz?@@RodericksRadioDJTutorials
@@theel.us-americasrockstati8864 Do you mean Voicemeeter? The buzz is more likely coming from the external sound card, they tend to do that due to grounding issues.
@@RodericksRadioDJTutorials No not from voicemeeter, I do not have that installed. I have the external berringer sound card. A little confused on using VM & a mixer for my station.

Try installing RadioDJ to another drive if you have one. Sometimes Windows can put crazy permissions on folders that are created on the system drive. Also try installing it run as Administrator. Never install it on top of itself.
I got half way thru and when it came to finding NOW PLAYING on Radio DJ......couldn't find it and had to abandon ship !!!!! so close

Go to the folder SE Caster is running in and delete the SeCaster.ini file
The server is usually the IP adress of your streaming server examples: 12.345.56.78 or us1.westream.net don't put in the nor nor the : and don't add the port number :8000 it has it's own field

1 the file in the description is not working why
The code is broken and i needed to fix it
And if you dont remove one part it only works on joomla
Second problems
He is using heidie (for the data base )
1 heidie is a remote DB acces not a DB by it self
2 if youre hosting blocks the ip youre fucked so this wont even work
3 use MSQL community/workbench instead of all his db tips
This is local with the needed server setup (no preformance hit ) and not running in to ip problems
4 i hate that people make php files and add the .CSS and .Js in side the same file not a problem just a matter of orginazation
Heidi is not the database, it's a tool that allows you to manage the database.
All hosting companies block remote DB access but you should be running MYSQL or MariaDB on the same Windows system that RadioDJ is running on so there should not be a problem there.
RadioDJ is in no way a part of Joomla so not sure what's going on there.

Backup your RadioDJ database first, DO NOT uninstall RadioDJ or your encoders. Uninstall MariaDB only and install version 10.5 only. DO NOT INSTALL the latest version of MariaDB. It seems to not work with RadioDJv2.0.0.6

The latest version is pretty stable. v2.0.4.5
