The whole “I didn’t see marriage growing up in my home” argument is played out for college educated women. If you have the discipline and diligence to obtain a degree you can apply the same level of effort to gain knowledge on how to make success of relationships and become a wife.

You're right if you're talking to a man ...females can't do this bc they are still dominated by their emotions. So when they find out how men truly think, what they truly want.....they get offended and in their feelings. Then they hit men with shame, insult, guilt, and the need to be right. Just like Kevin says

    • @aesthetiques
      @aesthetiques 2 ปีที่แล้ว +95

"I didn't see marriage", well alright. Neither did men to the same proportion, but you still expect men to be leaders, providers, and protectors. Figure it out. Get some therapy, find a long-term married woman to learn from. Do some work.

Yeah its so sad she said she found someone on the same page ,like its hard to find a man who wont' marry you if not required. And watch her get pregnant and change her expectation . This is so common, women start off with one expectation and then mature, change that expectation expecting the man to also evolve. We typically hold women to the original agreement.

Just to give another dimension to the benefits of marriage, I lost my cousin about 18 months ago, he was married with 4 kids, it has been tough for the wife since then, but she reaches out to the extended family of her husband for support with school fees and sometimes money for food.
If she wasn't married to my cousin, I doubt, she will get the same level of consideration she and her kids get from me and other family relatives.
There is a clear difference between a wife and a partner, when a husband passes, the wife is still a member of the family, when a partner passes, the surviving partner has to move on.

Excellent point. That was my mom's experience when my dad passed away. Me, my brother, and my father's siblings all contributed to looking after her, socializing with her, and making sure her home was maintained properly. Mom's family lived many states away, so dad's family served as her primary social network. She has passed away now, but she was well taken care of by a large family network.

This sh-t is scary. Not just about how women think now, but how we have been influenced as men.
I'm a creative guy and I grew up with a modern single woman and a mostly absent dad and I've never thought about this before Kevin, and I've realized I'm not Ok. I'm REALLY behind. I don't have it, what am I gonna do now? So many years wasted... at least I got some skills in music, but not ones that are highly demanded like playing guitar.... this is leaving a bitter taste in my mouth and a unbearing heaviness in my gut, but it is sobering, better than living the delusion.
I have to figure what to do now. Wish me luck.

you can fix this. i had a writing hobby, and went on to study chemical engineering. now i do technical sales and get writing gigs here and there. even in bad years i break six figs.
my point being, that musical talent can give you a creative outlet and make you a nice side income to supplement a hard skill. i think you have a good start and should not feel bad about where you are. think long term, find a program thats difficult and lucrative. it's a ten year process, but you'll probably live to 100, so start now.

      and Medicine.

      simultaneously.

      it's almost time.

I grew up the same and even as a kid I could tell something wrong was happening. Over time I found myself increasingly confused and missing essential tools and understandings of how to be a man. I am now 40 and still working to correct and expand who I am as a person.
The nonsense I was taught about romance has probably done me some of the most harm, all I can do now is grow better.
I really appreciate the people suggesting options like coding, brothers of all types have to help each other out of this social crab bucket.

As far as careers, being a Dental Hygienist is WAY overlooked. You get your associates degree and start out making 80k-100k depending on the state you live in. In Virginia, it’s about 87k a year…With only 12-15k in debt from a community college, it’s not bad! You can make your own schedule depending on the dental office.

Something I was thinking about at the gym this morning related to the probability vs possibility thing KS often talks about, and why men seem to have a better handle on it than women: how many of us dudes growing up wanted to be pro athletes? And how many ACTUALLY go on to be pro athletes. A very small percentage. Idk about y’all, but I know when I was playing the big 3 sports growing up, I swore I coulda been pro. I worked my ass off, got up early, wore jump soles (you a real one if you remember those!), but no matter how hard I worked that PROBABILITY is fuckin low. And no one ever let you forget it. So, at a young age, I had to come to terms with the fact that, this might not be the way I make money growing up, lemme at least get a plan B, C, D etc. Sure there’s a POSSIBILITY, but not likely. I feel like maybe that plays a role in why men seem to have a better grip on probability vs possibility. Does that sound crazy?

I look at how he used intelligence in a world where a Black man shouldn't know how to use it. He was really a teacher and taught so many. He was direct. He tore through the veil of b.s. we are used to. He showed the blind the path to knowledge if they wanted. Many didn't. But I was one who did. I shared many similar views as him such as truth over fantasy with women. His voice was calm but his words were silver bullets to the heartless. He was took the podium and captivated our collective consciousness. He needles the single minded women who had never been questioned before by a well-spoken, well groomed intelligent Black man. He stood there for every man though. He said what we all felt collectively. I now want to thank him. He risked villain status with women for us. Brave is an understatement. His words were acid to the ears of the bottom feeders of society. But to us he was brilliant. He is a martyr now. Undisputed. Rest easy

Why is it most foreign students go into STEM or Law? They aim for the highest level because back home that's the only means by which you can own a house or eat. Be mindful of what's really going on in the market, chase the jobs that PAY, and pay considerably more as you go along.. You can get an entry level Amazon warehouse gig, go learn how to do EDI, warehousing rules and practices, rise to $100k plus in 3 to 5 years. No degree required. That mechanic at Porche?.. clocks $60k walking in, over $120k 4 years later. This bullshit about loving your job is a fkn lie. Love what the $ from your job let's you do. The book 'The Millionaire Next Door' revealed that a vast majority of American millionaires had average education, ran traditional businesses, and were from traditional families - men were either the sole or primary earner and women were mostly homemakers. Commitment towards marriage and traditional values was the common denominator among most of the American millionaire families.
The American private college industry has successfully fooled Americans into accumulating heavy student loans and getting all sorts of degrees that are usually not a good return on investment. Many sensible young American men are opting for trade school instead of college, but young American women continue to believe that a college degree (along with a heavy student loan, of course) is their passport to an "independent, empowered" life.

In my opinion Kevin's work is a genuine attempt at saving the black community. However, I believe at this point it is a lost cause. When you listen to this video and realize that the majority of women in this community carry this mindset as a man you have to make a decision for your own survival and the survival of your legacy. Today's society has given women from all ethnicities a chance to show the world who they really are. I don't think these women can be saved nor should anyone attempt to save them. I think this is who they are. This is the majority now. This majority has no interest in being a wife or having a family. Men should accept this for what it is and take their effort, time, protection, resources, provision, and seed elsewhere.

I listened to KS tell another woman this back in December. I thought "I make good money", "I'm good with money", "My retirement will be fully funded". But I didn't want this wisdom to pass me over so I did a quick check on a retirement calculator... I'll have a shortfall! My job offers qualified 403b and 457b plans. I promptly opened those accounts and maxed out allocations to these accounts. Sure my deposits are smaller but that not an issue. Pre-tax dollars that make more money in curated funds than in the IRS's possession and a low interest savings account. Thank-you, Kevin for the wake up call! Now I have peace of mind that my retirement will be fully funded.

Young people as a whole do not think about retirement. When I was in a union, there was a young guy that made fun of our concern about out pension. I have heard guys that said they figure they will work until they die. I said what if you can't work. It gets blown off. Many people these days don't think about retirement at all. They think they can work until they die. It's not just young woman. It's everyone! They don't even want to think about it! To talk about it is like your bringing them down with bad news. There are going to be a lot of homeless people in the future!

For me, and Im 29, but my thinking is honestly if I don't have a family, whats the point of retirement? To do what exactly? I worked at a retired home, and the quality of life is typically abysmal. Wake up, pills, eat, activity room, pills, eat, nap, pils eat, sleep repeat. For most people, no matter what the economic situation, there's nothing particularly exciting about getting old and managing a boquet of ailments until you stretch life out till its over. Why do you think retirees are significantly more likely to end their own lives? Because they know that they've done as much as they were going to do.

Why is it so hard for the black women to understand what this man has to say? I mean, I am an Indian woman 37yrs old from Melbourne, Australia, living with my husband and we both own a couple of homes with one's mortgage almost done and we both are earning around roughly 220k USD combined (110k each). The only problem we have is, we cannot have children due to a health issue I have. However, when it comes to finances, Kevin is on point. I feel like although I am not in a bad financial situation we haven't done enough to save for the rainy day. I am taking notes and will be making sure to follow his financial advice :)

@@peachycalmable I was expecting this response. Lool she doesn't know all black women but all the stats within our community points to this problem. I am not caping for her but you are more concerned about someone that ain't black commenting vs what she's saying. As a black man I'm around alot of other cultures and this mindset is a black woman thing. Want absolutely no structure or being told anything, I've literally tried to do this with a young lady I've watched within a year when she was down with nothing, having suicide thoughts move from McDonald's searching for another job to a accounting clerk own place and own car. The moment I say you are at a good point I know you have a need to prioritize fun and happiness but you're not there yet let's focus on school and get your debt down. We have had the most argument about me being toxic masculinity and wanting control. The truth is the time when she had no choice but to listen I was the perfect man for her , the moment she think she has it covered I'm a problem. I'm at the point where I just leave her alone, make her choices and I'm not stepping in if she fucks up. I'm devoting my time and energy into another project that makes me money.
