    This plant is one of my all time fav’s because it is so beautiful, very tactile, fast grower, and not fussy whatsoever. I haven’t tried propagating yet but will give it a try! Thanks for the video.

      Carol K get ready to wait a really long time! It took about 5 months for mine to root in water, but definitely worth the wait 😍. Gonna see what happens when I try to just get it to root directly in soil 🤞🏼

    Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. I just acquired a Parallel P. Tetragona and I was wondering how to propagate it. It is good to know exactly where you cut it and to see how the new growth emerges from where it was cut. Very good information to provide. I have only one other peperomia species, it's a P. Rosa and it is tiny and seemingly a slow grower so I have not thought to propagate it yet. I use the water technique for my Tnransadtia so I will probably do the same with the Tetragona. Don't like just sticking them in the soil. Thanks again!

    Very nice! I remember seeing those leaves in the jar, during your livestream. I am glad to see them planted. :)

      spider choo they were tucked away on my window sill and I kept forgetting about them (doh!🙈), so the water would evaporate and dry out the roots lol. Luckily, they grew back! Excited to see what the new growth is going to look like. My schefflera petiole that took root grow an entire new plant! It’s pretty crazy. I should post a pic...

    I really like this Peperomia, it is one of my wish list plants, I hope when I find it that it grows crazy like yours has so I can propagate it and make a fuller plant, or just make more plants which I would really love too. Thanks so much for this video, it is so cool that we can propagate our plants to make more or to make the same plant fuller. I hope you are staying safe and healthy and I will see you soon, sending love and hugs, bye for now.

      Holly Hasegawa Nielson yes, it’s crazy how much fuller a plant gets when you cut it back! I keep forgetting to make a video on my philodendron! Be safe Holly ❤️!!

    This video was super helpful! I have two long strands on my plant and was curious about the best way to propagate them, where to cut, etc. Your video was very detailed and just what I needed! They do seem to grow roots faster in soil based on the info I've found.

    Hi, I just bought one from ikea in Melbourne here. Hope it will flourish like yours. I like your ideas in propagating, learning tons from your videos. Thanks so much. Truly appreciate. By the way I've followed your channel in the last few months since I started to collect houseplants. Your tips have been most useful.
    I noticed some white fluff on the leaves, washed it under the tap. Any idea what that is? Thanks

      Hi Esther! Thank you so much for subscribing 🤗, really appreciate it ❤️. Wishing you good luck with your new botanibaby!!! This plant is very easy to take care of. As for the fluff, is it white and moving? It might be mealy bugs 🥴😱. Very important to keep close watch for those and remove them right away with alcohol and a qtip. I like to use my sprinkler attachment when watering my plants to also knock off any potential pests lurking on the leaves. Good luck!!!

      @@Botanibabies oh mine, I'll be hyper vigilant on that bug. Thanks for the tip. I'm checking methods to get rid of it. There are no movement on that tiny white powdery thingy...could it be mildew? It's winter here in Melbourne so I'm also wondering if it's the weather. This plant is in a hanging basket in my bathroom facing a NW window, getting lots of filtered light all day. I can't stop looking at it. Hope it's not too sick. Thanks again

    I find it to be a very fuzzy plant. I don't understand what i am doing wrong with it. But i have some stems dying off. Am i letting dry off too much or over watering it? I do have it in a clay draining pot. I did moved it from a sunny window to a less sunny spot and was doing well but than ½ off the stems died! I want to propagate some of it just incase i kill it off. Am I letting it dry off to much or over watering it?😢

    The leaves on mine just turn dark and drop. I have tried propagating through cuttings and leaves, same thing happens. Don’t know what I’m doing wrong 😢.

    thank you! the video is so helpful! took me a while to find good videos about this plant! I have encountered some brown spots on the leaves... did this ever happen to you?

    • @Botanibabies
      @Botanibabies  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! I’ve had a few leaves turn brown, but it did not affect the plant over all. I would recommend waiting until it dries out completely before watering again. Browning could indicate root rot. Also, best to cut off the brown leaves in case it affects the rest of the plant. Hope that helps!

    How long does it usually take to have new growth in soil propagation? I just propagated mine today 😁

      Hi Janelle! I actually don't know how long that would take, because I've only ever tried water propagation. Would love to know how it works out for you!
