Love this plant. I've had it for about 6 months and gets some afternoon direct sun in a west facing window. Its growing super well, and doubled in length and pushed out 2 other branches. Super easy care, I just water it about once a week during the summer months when its completely dry. So excited to see this featured on 365 days of plants! Thanks Summer!
I love this Peperomia, I got mine from my daughter as a potted up small plant, and she took mine from her mother plant that has since died, it doesn't grow extremely fast but it is growing in my southeast facing window. Thanks again Summer, see you tomorrow.
Looks very similar to P. 'Boivinii'. I got two from Steve's Leaves several years ago...I up-potted into 6" hanging baskets and they've grown quite large. Probably my favorite Peperomia of the two dozen varieties I have.
I bought two 4” peperomia hope this fall with the intention of repotting them into the same pot. Instead I put one about 2 feet back from a south facing window and the other under a grow light in a sunny room. The pep under the light has doubled in size! The other is growing too but not quite as much. Such fun plants. Love those round thick leaves.
I’m a sucker for round leaves plants! I got one around 4 months ago and I noticed some of the leaves started to curl up, it seems pretty common upon research but no one seems to know how to solve this. :(
I really like this plant! I have only one problem with my Peperomia Hope, most of the leaves are curling instead of staying flat. Especially the new growth. Do you have any advice Summer?
@@mg3877 I've read it could be a calcium deficency or irregular watering. I've mixed egg shells into the potting mix, probably I should give the plant a solution of calcium nitrate. I tried to be more 'regular' with watering, but I'm always waiting for the soil to dry out a bit, if the soil is too wet the plant will easily rot. Also It looks like once the leaf has curled it won't reverse, so it's hard to tell if I'm doing something right, I need to wait for new growth to come.
I would love to see how the crossing of peperomia varieties works. I know it can be done at home with schlumbergera /holiday cacti but could peps be crossed at home, too?
I brought it full of leaves and brought it home and almost all the leaves fell off. I hope it will revive. Any suggestions? It was warm weather, so not a victim of cold air.
Happens for me too! I've wondered if my soil is too rich and peaty for such a succulent plant... Would that matter for this issue? I don't know. I do really let it dry out between waterings though, and it has still grown a lot... Advice from someone please!
Nadya I’m going to repot mine soon with maybe more perlite for faster drainage although I too wait a long time to water it. She’s a good grower though...just trying to figure her out. I have her hanging in an east facing window in a terracotta pot.
I’m having this problem too. From what I read online, it seems it could be a calcium deficiency and/or a problem with overly acidic soil? Have you figured out a solution?
I have been researching this plant, as the leaves on mine have been curling, even the new small growth. I make sure I water it when the leaves are feeling more deflated, so I don't think it's a watering issue. It's in indirect light as well. I have some cuttings in a brighter lit window, and the small new growth is doing the same thing 😤🙃 Do you have any idea what this could be?? I seen that yours looks amazing!!
YaYYY For The Peperomia Hope...ITS A Very Welcome Exception To My Ban On Peps!!! Hmmm...Let Me See If I Can Find Any In Hanging Pots...4 Inch Ones Would Be Fine!!!
Any idea what the difference is between this and p. pecuniifolia? I've had a plant I was sure was pecuniifolia for a few years but now I'm not sure. I've read the patent documents for p. hope but it could be describing either plant. Worst pest I've had with my plant is a nasty attack of toddlers who love to pick off the lower leaves if they can reach them.

Which way are they curling? Upwards or downwards? And what sort of pot and potting mix does it have?
Sun Chi they are curling downwards. I’m not sure what potting mix unfortunately, they are still in their grower’s pot. Too afraid to repot them! Haha
quynh adrong I have the same problem! Did you figure it out?
One of my favs🤗

Francesca Selvaggio I have the same problem with mine. Did you find out any answers?

Francesca Selvaggio I’m having this problem too and also read somewhere that it could be a calcium deficiency. Did the egg shells help?

I have this plant - it grows well however the leaves curl in. Am I doing something wrong?
Mine does the same but seems to grow well.

Sheena Shines did you fix the curling leaves problem? What was it?

This is peperomia pecunifolia?
