    I found mine in a Safeway! When I asked what it was they said “um...I think it’s a pepper plant?”
    This and the other pep hope video are first the videos That have been super helpful!

    Hi! Thanks for the making this video. Do you have any plan to show the outcome of this propagation in a few weeks time? 😊 really keen to see it!

      Hey, thank you so much!! I do actually show the cuttings in my two most recent Pink Princess Propagation videos! This was the first video where I share how those are doing:

      and here's the second:

      I was thinking of continuing to show my propagations (the Pink Princess cuttings are ready to be potted), I guess I'll see how much interest there is in that, haha.

      Hi there, I know this was 2 years ago, but wondering if you have updates on the propagations beyond the 2 week and 4 weeks after?

    So don't water soil right away?

    I've tried propagating some in water and some in soil at the same time. Soil is definitely working better but both are Very slow.
    I have roots, but that's it, and it's been almost two months already.
    I'm guessing the mother one is quite big and grow quickly. Maybe it's just a slow start 🤞

      It was July 3rd that I took these cuttings, so just over a month. I haven’t checked all of them, but in my last propagation update video they seemed to finally be pushing out some nice new roots! They do seem to root a lot slower in comparison to how fast the mother plant has pushed out new growth though.

    Hey! Thank you so much for the video! Your plant is beautiful! I also have a peperomia hope (named Henry) that I bought in April. I feel very emotionally connected to him because he’s my first plant. He’s been having a very hard time and I’ve seen very little growth.his leaves are very curly and he seems to be wilting. I try to water him about once a week. Do you have any idea what could be wrong? I’m having trouble finding advice online. Thanks!

    • @michaeljohnhalse
      @michaeljohnhalse  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching!! As for Henry, what sort of lighting do you have him in? Is he in a bright spot? Usually curled leaves means it’s not getting enough moisture so it’s trying to hold on to the moisture it does get. If he’s in a bright spot, you might have to water him a bit more when you do water, or maybe a little more frequently!

      Thank you for answering! He isn’t right in the window but he definitely gets plenty of sunlight. I’ll try to maybe water him every 5 days instead of 7? Thanks again!

    • @michaeljohnhalse
      @michaeljohnhalse  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Emma Dillon yeah! I’d definitely start with that then, and see if that helps! If the soil stays too soggy though, hold off on watering for a day or two! 😊

    OK so you just stick them in dry soil? You don’t water them? When do you water?

    • @michaeljohnhalse
      @michaeljohnhalse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I stuck them in dry soil, and then I watered right after I got them all in. and after that I mostly watered once a week. but like, we’ll, so the soil was always a little moist. never super dry.

    Where do you put the propagating pots? Direct or indirect light or in the dark?

      I have all of mine in a west facing window sill, so they do get direct sunlight in the afternoon. filtered for the morning.

    How long for new leaves to sprout? I've planted my cut leaves in april 2020 and they've all rooted. But still, no growth.. How long does this take and what can i do to quicken this? Thanks!

    • @michaeljohnhalse
      @michaeljohnhalse  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      My cuttings took a month and 3 weeks to sprout new leaves, I’m not sure how to quicken the process, but I had my rooted cuttings right in a west facing windowsill, I also water them once a week, and would fertilize them throughout the summer every 2.

  • @reenna78
    @reenna78 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    hi..do you spray the soil with water first before putting the leaves?and how frequent do you water the propagated leaves?i repotted my hope and the leaves start falling. Seriously dont know what to do but Im planning to propagate them but the moist soil is not helping..

    • @michaeljohnhalse
      @michaeljohnhalse  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn’t moisten the soil first, I put the leaves right into dry soil and then poured water over top of them. After that I’d spray them maybe once a week? I found the soil held the water a little too well. In my Pink Princess Propagation Videos, I show the progress of these Hope cuttings as well, if you’re interested in seeing how it went.
      As far as like, the actual plant, they don’t want to be in noisy soil all the time, I’ve found the like it better when the soil dries out between waterings. So it could be dropping leaves because it’s too wet, maybe water it a little less, just give it a lick of water and see how it does with that, if the leaves begin to curl a bit, you’ll know it needs a bit more water!

      @@michaeljohnhalse thanks for your advice. Will take a look at the video. For my P.Hope,currently just waiting the soil to dry out. Hopefully the soil is not too moist otherwise I have to repot it again. Will see how it goes.. Thanks again.

    Lovely video watched all through. I think you put all too close because they need extra spaces for grow.

  • @Greg1217

    Do you keep the soil moist right away or do you wait to see roots? I put some in dry soil a week ago and they don't have any roots yet which I wasn't expecting anything yet but should I be keeping the soil they're in moist?

    • @michaeljohnhalse
      @michaeljohnhalse  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I kept the soil moist and they all took root for me! as soon as I planted them I sprayed them with a water bottle and kept that up every few days or when I’d remember to check on them.

    Hi again!
    My Hope started new growth. That new growth grew straight up from the ends of the branches that where cut from where I bought it.
    I tried, but I attempted to propagate the newish growth in water.
    I don't understand why there was no trailing. Since I've been watching your videos, I'm much more secure, thank you for that.
    Did I do something wrong for the new growth the grow straight up.
    Thank you again for your videos!
    Tracy

    • @michaeljohnhalse
      @michaeljohnhalse  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      not at all! it’ll trail eventually, but the stems are so thick that they can usually keep themselves up for a while until they get pretty long and begin to fall.

    What would happen if you just stuck the cut vine back in the soil? Would it root?

    • @michaeljohnhalse
      @michaeljohnhalse  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the chances are a bit lower, but it’s still possible. Only because you need to keep the soil moist at first to promote roots, but you don’t want to keep an established plant in consistently wet soil.

    Не работает ни один ни второй способ
    Листья посадила в почву а с черешками в воде. И ни там ни там даже намёка нет на корни. Стоит уже чуть ли не три месяца. А так хотела этот цветочек. Теперь жалею сто купила без корней просто ветку
