As a kid I always told my familythere’s something wrong with my face and I’m not comfortable with my face, I don’t like seeing myself in pictures and videos, I even noticed their faces so closely and would feel sad about mine, no one ever knew what it was now in 30 still struggling, but then God heard me and thousands like me and sent Dr. mike ❤

@Sean Michael Slater Is the numbness a result of the malocclusion or did you have some injury?
I first had a night guard made, to ameliorate issues with the TMJ ("chewing joint"), which helped a lot. Currently I'm wearing those clear plastic braces (invisalign) which are correcting the malocclusion and also gave me more tongue space. I also found a speech therapist who knows about myofunctional therapy (how to position tongue, how to swallow).
Try to contact Dr. Mew through their website.
      Good luck!

This is SPOT ON. I have no 4. I feel like there's not enough space in my mouth for my Tongue. Tonge sticks out the side.
I'm 32 years old. Currently having orthodoric treatment. No extractions necessary although all my wisdom teeth are only partially erupted and impacted.

@@daralillyluchen3722 'it is just more difficult' No, there are no cases of mewing as an adult producing measurable changes. There are none on Mew's website. It's Emperor's clothes syndrome, there are no measurements just before and after pics from different angles and they say 'Look! Look at the massive change!' and there isn't any change in structure, only posture. I actually think Mew knows structural changes aren't possible in adults but if he doesn't promise that then people wont do it and it won't catch on with kids, ie the people who would actually benefit.

I have a width of 35mm (I'm 16, so probably haven't gotten my final with yet) and one of my second upper teeth is slightly rotated, bottom insisors are crowded but my upper teeth are pretty vertical/slightly slanted (not retroclined like he says) . Forever grateful for these older videos. After watching many of them, I have learned that I have a class 4 bite, evident by my caved in teeth and splinting. I have always had proper tongue posture, but my buccinators are huge. My teeth drift apart and my tongue spreads into the gaps. This causes me to use my cheeks to swallow and greatly decreases the force on my hard palate, which I think has led to poor inner U face development. This hanging of the jaw also engages the buccal muscles and has lengthened my face. However, I still managed to develop very defined cheekbones without my teeth touching. Could the force on my soft palate have been enough to create these results? Or maybe I’ve been clenching in my sleep without even knowing. Still many things to learn!

Most of the day it’s just resting, I swallow occasionally to make sure my tongue is all the way at the back. During workouts, walks and some parts of the day I do apply more pressure. But consistencing is more important. My back teeth have widened compared to the rest of my teeth and if I chin tuck and mew breathing can’t be cut off like it used too. I’m thinking about Invisalign just for my other teeth though.

I think im perfect number 2. 34-35mm, slight malloclusion in my lower incisors, canines are slightly rotated, retroclined upper incisors and because of that lower teeth are worn. 2/3 of my tongue rests on my palate, but the back third does not. I wanted to have nice smile and went to an ortho. Decided for an invisalign and he performed ipr in my lower jaw - 6 places between my incisors 0.4mm to make room to align the teeth. I'm not sure if that was a good idea? He also said that he sees a buccal corridors in my smile and he wants to improve that so I guess hes gonna widen the arch but can this be done via invisalign? Anyone into singing. Don't do these bullshit things... definitely will destroy your tongue freedom and your singing abilities will be drastically reduced. My experience... decision is yours anyway

Lol you sing better if you are not a mouthbreather and breathe through your nose.

excuse me,Dr,i am a Chinese,i wonder that when i mewing,i can't keep my front teeth together, does it right or wrong?i think i'm the fourth case

Your front teeth shouldn't be touching, only the molars. If you mew with your front teeth touching, or if you push on your front teeth with your tongue while mewing it can cause them to be pushed forward, and away, from your face; which isn't very good haha.

@@elriano1 your teeth should gently touch but not clenching (0 pressure).
