It would have also been funny asf if there was a dialogue option that asked "Wait, if that's actually Karlach under there then why aren't the sheets burning?" with Orin awkwardly being unable to explain that.

Minthara is the perfect companion, since she was never kidnapped in my playthrough I never witnessed this scene prior so I was surprised to see her so panicked and out of character. I don't like how they try to threaten the death of your party members when reviving them has always been as easy as Withers will just do it. However, the moment Orin kidnaps them it's supposed to be a threat. Then Withers won't be able to revive them despite being able to do so after they're killed for days and days on end? I think baldur's gate is too generous with its resurrection personally for them to threaten this.
The reason why Withers can't revive party members during certain situations is due to them being ritual sacrifices in those situations. If Durge kills a Alfira, Grootslang, or a companion, their soul goes to Bhaal's domain and thus Withers can't revive them. If Orin sacrifices one of them, she also sends their soul to Bhaal with the same result. The only real "hey wait, why dafuq can't you revive?" scenario with a scripted party member death is if you decide to stake Astarion during his bite attempt. There's really nothing stopping Withers from reviving Astarion on a request but he just doesn't give the option.
@@joshuakim5240 Yeah, this. Re Astarion-- with DnD resurrection, souls know who's calling them back and they have to consent to returning. Maybe Astarion's just done with this shit? His only ally's turned on him, no reason to come back.
It doesn't work if Wyll is just standing there, doing his idle animations, or maybe that stupid dance. It might work if the words were a bit different. "Wyll is finished! He has no life!" "He's right there." "Yes, but look at him. He's doing that stupid dance, he's got only one real eye, those horns are stupid [if Karlach isn't killed], and he likes Dribbles the clown. He has no life."
Why does she sound shocked? Orin girl get your head in the game! She would see it coming almost getting assassinated is like her favorite weekend activity
Orin feels kind of ham fisted with her appearances sometimes, but she also gave me not a small amount of anxiety during act 3. I was legitimately paranoid, I didn't trust any NPC I talked to, treated every interaction like stabbing was going to start, etc. It made my first time through Act 3 very memorable, it felt like I was actually feeling what my party felt while she was stalking us.
There should honestly be a perception check when Orin tries to trick you, which gets easier the more she does it and the more you know about her in general.
I don't remember who says it in the game (I think it was Jaheira, but I could easily be wrong) but one of them said that Orin is playing and toying and making fancy expressions of her kills in Bhaal's name and for his glory and Bhaal doesn't care. He doesn't care *how* people die, he just cares that they die by way of murder. Whether you made a show of it or just got the job done without any fanciness to it is irrelevant to him. He just wants to see the bodycount increase. If true, that means all those fancy theatrics and elaborate plays Orin makes with her victims only annoys Bhaal, because he just wants them dead. He's probably like: 'Stop playing with them like you're a cat and just fkin kill them already.' Could easily explain why he thinks of Durge as his favored spawn. He racks up the bodycount and doesn't care about how it's done. Just that it gets done. Some are violent and even grotesque, but he never 'plays' with his food. Bhaal is the lord of murder, not fancy theatrics. He doesn't want bardic displays that put on a whole show before they get to the final acts, he just wants murder, plain and simple.
Minthara once again proving to be the best girl! Edit: Nevermind, I guess even Minthara has her flaws. I mean even if she could read my mind doesn't mean she did and acted upon those thoughts to please me. Now that would be just silly.
I would have thought that Orin could play Minthara better. I mean she put way too much effort to be like her that it was way too obvious that its Orin. I mean she knew Minthara pretty well that Minthara was scared af but this is a weak performance. But what would I expect from someone that is really bad at being a disciple of a God of Murder.
I'm not gonna say that Orin doesn't have a habit of overplaying her part, because she does; she's always a bit of a ham when she's acting, and it hurts the performance (Orin's IC performance, not the VA's performance). But credit where it's due, "of course I did. Anyone who threatens me either kills me, or dies" was actually a pretty good response on her part. It has just the right amount of casual fatalism and sardonic exasperation.
i just finsihed 1 time but watched some videos but this scene only as dark urge ? and why nightwarden minthara ?` when she follows i think there stays only minthara , maybe i am wrong but i think so x)
Not directly related to the topic of video but I have to ask. Where is it. I know it's probably in the camp but at what point it looks like that? I only ever slept near the water (some sort of docs?) in Baldur's Gate.
To change the way your camp looks, go to the Elfsong Tavern in the Lower City and request a room from the guy selling drinks at the bar, then your camp will look like this
I’ve only been playing a month and some change, but I thought it was originally not available to have Wyll and Minthara in the same group. So how is there dialogue?
How do you get here? 🤔 I’m playing Durge right now. Do I need Wyll in my camp to get here? (PLEASE NO SPOILERS I haven’t played through a Durge campaign yet)
After Gortash reveals you have a shapeshifter in camp, you will encounter Orin next time you go into the sewers, or the next time you long rest, whichever comes first. Do the long rest. Then it also depends which companion Orin kidnaps, obviously you have to make it so she kidnaps Minthara.
Honestly, Orin is such a shit character. She is stupid, not frightening at all, petty and her disguises are obvious. Plus she is very weak when you duel her. The voice actress is top notch though.

*minor spoiler* If you go to the Elf Song Tavern in the Lower City you can either rent quarters there from the guy behind the bar (forgot his name) or you can persuade him to let your party stay there for free. It becomes your permanent camp for the rest of the game unless you leave the area.
1. After Gortash tells you about the shapeshifter in the camp, long rest before you go into the sewers 2. Make sure Minthara is the one who gets kidnapped by Orin, by having all the other options (Laezel, Halsin, Gale) in your party.

He could also just revive the entire party after a TPK but doesn't.
@@joshuakim5240 Yeah, this. Re Astarion-- with DnD resurrection, souls know who's calling them back and they have to consent to returning. Maybe Astarion's just done with this shit? His only ally's turned on him, no reason to come back.
@@DragonSageSequi Withers does it for the money. I just imagine he takes the gold off of the corpses and whistles as he walks away.
OMFG 😂🤣😆🤣😆😂
She's the Burger King!
On the old commercial he would say "Watch me now as I twist my ring! Like magic, we're at Burger King!"
🤣😅😂😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It doesn't work if Wyll is just standing there, doing his idle animations, or maybe that stupid dance. It might work if the words were a bit different.
"Wyll is finished! He has no life!"
"He's right there."
"Yes, but look at him. He's doing that stupid dance, he's got only one real eye, those horns are stupid [if Karlach isn't killed], and he likes Dribbles the clown. He has no life."
Perfectly fine my love. We did the quest, got the loot. He was barely in the party anyway, I am the party warlock.
oh my your guy looks so dreamy so attractive!
I always hated how obvious some of her interactions were and our character wasnt allowed to pick up on it
Dubious by 20th accidental head KO
Why does she sound shocked? Orin girl get your head in the game! She would see it coming almost getting assassinated is like her favorite weekend activity
"Minthara" tells the Dark Urge she killed Wyll.
also Wyll chilling in the background 2:33
Even if you take the deal Orin's assassins are still highly active in the city
Orin feels kind of ham fisted with her appearances sometimes, but she also gave me not a small amount of anxiety during act 3. I was legitimately paranoid, I didn't trust any NPC I talked to, treated every interaction like stabbing was going to start, etc. It made my first time through Act 3 very memorable, it felt like I was actually feeling what my party felt while she was stalking us.
There should honestly be a perception check when Orin tries to trick you, which gets easier the more she does it and the more you know about her in general.
LOOK AT WYLL LMAO Top priority is to drink that delicious wine 2:32. XD
BG3: One of your best friends kills another one of your best friends.

My evil durge be like: huh? Who's Wyll?
In my Dark urge play through this happened to Lae'zel after I had already broken up with her for Minthara. :D
I never understood why we didn’t have an option to call her out for being a fake in some situations,
Because having that chat option is a spoiler that will clue in players who haven't guessed it yet.
I mean should of killed Shadow heart it would of had a bigger effect
I love her so much
I would have thought that Orin could play Minthara better. I mean she put way too much effort to be like her that it was way too obvious that its Orin. I mean she knew Minthara pretty well that Minthara was scared af but this is a weak performance.
But what would I expect from someone that is really bad at being a disciple of a God of Murder.
Orin might be gifted with amazing disguises, but she lacks in personality adjustment for said characters.
Orin disguised as Minthara claiming to have killed Wyll is my dream scenario.
Sounds like you wish for there to be a romance option in this scene.
Yeah, I'm not gonna lie... I'm stealing this Tav look for my Drow Durge playthrough.
It has just the right amount of casual fatalism and sardonic exasperation.
... where on earth are you??? ive looked all over the city and havent found a place looking like that
It's your camp if you rent a room at the Elfsong tavern. You pay 200gp once, and then get to keep it for the rest of the game.
I'm curious about the choice to kill all the companions ? Is it possible ? Or Orin will reveal after you chosed this line ?
From what I remember, she will reveal herself and mock you for agreeing.
i just finsihed 1 time but watched some videos but this scene only as dark urge ? and why nightwarden minthara ?` when she follows i think there stays only minthara , maybe i am wrong but i think so x)
is wyll alive after this...........
nvm i read ur description lmfao
and i see him lmfao
Lmao
Not directly related to the topic of video but I have to ask. Where is it. I know it's probably in the camp but at what point it looks like that? I only ever slept near the water (some sort of docs?) in Baldur's Gate.
To change the way your camp looks, go to the Elfsong Tavern in the Lower City and request a room from the guy selling drinks at the bar, then your camp will look like this
@@mythaellethank you, I'll do that on my next playthrough ❤
I’ve only been playing a month and some change, but I thought it was originally not available to have Wyll and Minthara in the same group. So how is there dialogue?
How do you get here? 🤔 I’m playing Durge right now. Do I need Wyll in my camp to get here? (PLEASE NO SPOILERS I haven’t played through a Durge campaign yet)
Oh look, that's Lisan Al-Gaib
Minthara: "I fought Wyll, naturally he didn't stood a chance"
Even Larian knows nobody likes to level or play as Wyll lmao
An urge that isn't eager to destroy everything? Nah, I side with Orin in this scene. She's a better heir than this urge.
Urge tries to redeem himself/herself
@@Geni-yh1pv they're supposed to be a lord of murder
*Everyone wants a QT drow yandere girlfriend until its time to start doing drow shit*
Also, who is under that sheet if it isnt Wyll?
Where is that please I donkt understand
Elfsong tavern camp.
Act 3
I just went to the Lower City in Act Three and long rested without going to the sewers, triggering Orin to kidnap Minthara
How do I get that dialogue
After Gortash reveals you have a shapeshifter in camp, you will encounter Orin next time you go into the sewers, or the next time you long rest, whichever comes first. Do the long rest. Then it also depends which companion Orin kidnaps, obviously you have to make it so she kidnaps Minthara.
@@Mithcoriel thanks
What do you need to do for this to happen?
What is this location?
Elfsong tavern, if you rent a room.
Based Minthara
What is this household? This scenery? Have t made it this far.
Elfsong tavern in act 3. If you speak to the guy behind the bar you can rent out the rooms to use instead of camping
Benoit... Bhaal's.
Honestly, Orin is such a shit character. She is stupid, not frightening at all, petty and her disguises are obvious. Plus she is very weak when you duel her. The voice actress is top notch though.
Minthara: I kill one of you company
Dark Urge: WHO?!
Minthara: Wyll
DUrge: A.. ok. I was afraid you killed someone important.
Orin:"I've taken the woman you love!"
PC:"oh gods no!"
Orin:"Yes laezel has been captured."
PC:"Oh the woman who looks like she's 40 and smokes a lot. Well what a relife this has been for all of us."
Where are they?? Ive never seen this location ://
Lower City, the Elfsong Tavern, you have to ask the guy at the bar for a room to access this location
holy shit. I was about to join minthara
Is it just me or am I not the only one who is disappointed this was not an companion side quest of misunderstanding one of the others kill then and having issues finding resurrect scrolls cause wither decided he on a break
So... when will Orin be romanceable?
Orin, you literally have known Minthara for longer than the players, why is your acting so bad?
How do people get this camp scenery? I've seen so many people have camp at this place and idk where it is
*minor spoiler*
If you go to the Elf Song Tavern in the Lower City you can either rent quarters there from the guy behind the bar (forgot his name) or you can persuade him to let your party stay there for free. It becomes your permanent camp for the rest of the game unless you leave the area.
@saranonymous91 uh it was so simple lol thanks 👏
Youre tav is gorgeous! Is that a mod?
Also, why do i have a feeling minthara was the one who snuck up on wyll and not the other way around? Lol
Your durge could get it
Holy shit he's beautiful 😮❤
Can she become a oath breaker?
Yes
I romanced minthara 2 times (one as durge) and still haven't seen this scene. What is the trigger?
1. After Gortash tells you about the shapeshifter in the camp, long rest before you go into the sewers
2. Make sure Minthara is the one who gets kidnapped by Orin, by having all the other options (Laezel, Halsin, Gale) in your party.
У меня вышла та же ситуация, но только с девой Эйлин, что само по себе достаточно забавно
Williams Sarah Lee William Martin Lisa
Why is there no Option to just say „Orin I know its you“ or something, the disguise is sooo painfully obvious.
At least with the overworld encounters you can strike first and ask later.
You aren't actually like dark urge
I dont know why but orin is hot haha
Is your race half-elf?
