It's about the same amount of work. Between taping a template or removing the back clips on the liner, I'd do the liner. The finished product will also look much better.
Btw if you ever do this yourself you just need to remove 4 clips in the back of the headliner and that will give you enough room to remove the shark fin. Have done it in two different cars.

Hi Ivan - We don't recommend that you wet apply the film. The surface must be clean, dry, and free of all contaminants. Clean the surface with detergent and water, and then remove any greasy/oily residue with solvent cleaner. Lastly, finish with a final isopropyl alcohol clean.
Hi James, thanks for asking. A vehicle wrap is a coloured graphic film that is applied directly to your vehicle by a graphics installer. It’s an easy way to add accents to your vehicle, or change the colour completely. More information at s.3m.com/26ky7
What is the size of vinyl paper that was used in that car?
Wouldn't it be less effort to just remove the shark fin :/?
Removing the fin requires removing the headliner in most cars.

If that car was white u couldn't do that. For it to look perfect u have to remove the fin
No because you would have to wrap the fin as well otherwise it will look bad.
