Very informative video. Its super helpful. However the music that you have mixed into it really detracts from the overall quality. Just a bit of constructive criticism. It makes it harder to hear what you all are saying and frankly I don't like the music.

Very informative and put a smile on my face because one of the reps from Fellers told me that by heating the cover film causes orange peel because I had received a whole full roll of 2080 3m gloss black and the whole roll was orange peel with the cover Film.... had to send it back and get my money back ended up with Avery gloss black because I love how Avery looks and it’s much easier to work with but I see how you guys are able to add so much heat With the 2080 easily stretchable just shows me how much of a liar Fellers rep was trying to cover her self and not try to give me a refund but as I was waiting for refund I waited almost 2months for 3M still need to look at it and they saw the defect they Finally refunded me but I don’t understand why I still had to deal with the lies. That if heated with cover film it causes the orange peel !? What a lie lol!!
Awesome videos! Question, I want a complete color change from GT silver to gloss black. I hate any kind of orange peel whether in a wrap or in factory paint. Can you tell me what product in you experience has the absolute least? I'm open to a wrap or Black PPF. Which ever provides the best finish. Thanks so much!
Check the 3M website for the difference between 1080 and 2080, You have to measure each panel if you want to wrap the whole car and add a few extra feet to your measurements to be safe. Every car is different so it would be hard to tell you exactly how much you need. To wrap an entire vehicle it costs between $2k and $3k in vinyl depending on the car.

the typical lifespan of vinyl is 3~5 years. 3 years on harsh condition, 5 years if kept in garage all the time. 2080 series is no exception. it may appear to be good condition after a few years but 3M suggests for removal along with the lifespan because you're risking yourself to damage the car paint.

What are the differences between 1080 and 2080?
It has a longer warranty and a removable protective layer to reduce scratches on gloss.
You guys get material from Metrorestyling too
they said they get theirs from fellers.
Anything special about the torch you are using? Is is propane?
How warm is the post heat on 2080?
1080 was 110celcius
would like to know this as well.
@@colin9630 it should be 90 celsius for gloss, matte, satin finishes. 110 celsius was for brushed finishes.
