    Your whole aesthetic here is adorable. This is some serious #goals for when I get to Japan in a few months! Thanks so much for sharing your apartment.

    Thanks, you've given me heaps of ideas on how to decorate my apartment when I move in this year. I love your little storage ideas and how cosy you've made it look. Nice use of the space :)

    I'm currently in a very similar apartment right now! I had no idea you could fold down the table that automatically came with the apartment! Very handy as its so uncomfortable and I don't use it anymore! Love the decorations and what you've done with the apartment! :)

    Don't focus on your personal belongings because what viewers want to view is the apartment itself such as the partitions , room size , bathroom and toilet , height of the ceiling , ventilation , view and stuff like these . Do you have a parking space ?

    • @StrawberryGlitter14
      @StrawberryGlitter14  ปีที่แล้ว

      This was more just a video to show how it was decorated and how I lived in the space. I prefer watching these types of videos where I see the belongings and decorations. So I made a video in the style of what I prefer watching. I lived in a very common leopalace layout and there are probably already videos talking more about the space. I did have a parking space but it did cost extra a month. I can’t remember how much it was though. This was 8 years ago.

    I like your room :) So cute and great ideas !
    I have a question. Did you use a glue or tapes or something to put those things on the walls ?

    • @StrawberryGlitter14
      @StrawberryGlitter14  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +oto ama Thanks! :) I used tape. I got some cheap stuff at a 100 yen store. It wasn't the greatest, but it held stuff up most of the time. But I didn't want anything too strong because I didn't want it to damage the walls. I mostly just had trouble with stuff falling down during the rainy season when the humidity was really high.

    What a creative idea about the lids of icecream as magnets! I'll have to start doing the same! :)

      +Bettina Sta. Ana Thanks! I got that idea from one of my schools. Students had decorated the chalkboard in the back of the room with Hagen Dazs lids.

      I had two Leopalace apartments while in Japan and I liked this one better. The other one had the bed above the closet which wasn't bad, but I prefer this one. Though the lack of counter space in the kitchen was annoying. I don't live here anymore, but I miss it!

      I am hoping to go in March. Was the pay livable ? I am not the party, I do not drink so I do not blow a lot of money.

    This is really useful thanks I am looking at getting a leopalace room next year for 6-12months and wondering how much space I will have. Got me looking around my massive flat here thinking I need to get rid of A LOT. Everything is so cute and matching and I love how cosy your bed looks. Did you ever find you banged your head on the ceiling though, not slept in a bunk since I was a child so not sure how I would find that. (or a single bed!)

    • @StrawberryGlitter14
      @StrawberryGlitter14  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      This bed wasn't so high up so I never bumped my head. I could even stand on the bed without hitting the ceiling though I am short. I did hit my head a couple times in my other Leopalace though: th-cam.com/video/CGnOyCHlEns/w-d-xo.html
      The apartments are small, but I found that they actually had quite a bit of storage for their size. I was able to keep a lot in that "closet" under the bed.
      Good luck in your apartment search!

    How much is your rent for this apartment and what do you usually pay in utilities? I'm super interested in spending some time as an ALT in japan

    • @StrawberryGlitter14
      @StrawberryGlitter14  8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +tillydancer101 The apartment was about 50,000 yen a month. I paid about 5,000 a month for a parking space. Electric was pretty cheap, usually just a few thousand yen, sometimes even less. Gas was more expensive and varied a lot. In the summer maybe just a few thousand yen, but in the winter got as high as maybe 6,000 or 7,000. But I like nice long showers. I could have kept that a bit cheaper if I had tried. I paid for water every other month and that was usually 4,000 - 6,000 each time. Water varies a lot depending on where you live though. In another town I only paid 1,500 every other month.

    Just curious.... have you ever encountered any cockroaches inside your apartment? Your apartment looks quite new and I heard that the newer buildings don't usually have any bugs/insects

    • @jennas7620
      @jennas7620 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Gabriel C I had a couple cockroaches soon after I first moved in, but then I didn't have any the rest of the year. I definitely had fewer bugs in this apartment compared to an older one I lived in, even though this was on the first floor.

      +Gabriel C Just wanted to let you know that that comment was from me, just on a different account. Also, I had another apartment similar to this one on a second floor, even newer, and didn't have any bugs at all.

    What are those thudding noises in the background? Very distracting and annoying.

      @StrawberryGlitter14  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m not sure which noises you’re referring to. I can hear my footsteps but most of them aren’t very loud, maybe a few times they are? I guess my camera was just picking up every little sound.

      +sherry a Rude much?

    • @StrawberryGlitter14
      @StrawberryGlitter14  8 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      +sherry a It's okay if you find the decor childish. Even giving the video a thumbs-down rating is okay if you didn't enjoy it. However, assuming that I haven't grown up just because I like bright colors and cute characters isn't. Part of being a grown-up is knowing how to politely interact with others. Grown-ups should know when to keep their thoughts to themselves.
