    Finally, someone living in Japan with an apartment that actually looks like it gets cleaned more than once a year. Great job, girl!

    Wow, so lovely! I especially love your closet! It looks so cozy and if I ever lived there I'll probably be in there most of the time it just looks so cozy!

    Small but cozy. This is the first time I see a kitchen in the actual hallway!

    WOW. Just WOW. This apartment is beautiful and looks brand new. I can hardly even believe it. I'm about to leave for Japan in 3 days to teach and I'm hoping the quality of my apartment is even a fraction of this lol

    • @Hanayanaa
      @Hanayanaa  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      it was pretty brand new when I moved in. It's called a Leo Palace and they are all around Japan I believe. Not all new of course so hopefully wherever you go it's not bad. Good luck!

    • @Hanayanaa

      nope. That was monthly and depending on how much I used. Water was included though.

    This is probably the best apartment I've ever seen. Looks spacious enough for me at least and that closet compartment is a great selling point.

    Thanks so much for sharing this... I could use a year in Japan to simplify my life :) I love how efficient everything is and the panel on the wall for answering the door. I will never again complain about how tiny my kitchen is... (well at least not this week) :) Glad to see that all is well in Osaka.

  • @swetpmnkygrl

    This was so nice. Thank you for sharing your space with us. I'm planning on redoing my kitchen and bathroom in our small house (4 people in 700 sq ft) and have been looking to Japanese architecture on how to squeeze the most out of each space.

    Hey girl! So, I just moved in a week ago. I learned some helpful things that you probably already know but I'll put them here just in case. :) For the shower, you should put that top cycle on for 30 min after you use it (dries the room and prevents bacteria from growing) and make sure you lock the door each time with that little switch at the top.
    For the dryer, the ドライ setting is the gentlest (delicates). and ガンコ is for strong washes, 毛布 for big washes. :) Thanks again for all the info! 助かったよ!

    I was thinking how great it is to be Young because I wouldn't mind to live in such a small place when I was Young, but now in my 40s I'd be mortified. Life truly is all about expectations. Cool video and apartment, despite how small it feels

    That's incredible. I teach at a university in China, and it's one room. No porch, no kitchen, no living room. It's just a room with a bed, table, and desk. There is a shared washing machine for our entire floor. You pretty much have to eat out every day since there is no kitchen or refrigerator or anything. That's the difference between developed and developing countries.

    Beautiful apt! Most Japanese don't live this well! Many apts. / THEIR digs are so shabby.
    QUESTION: The tour of your balcony is quite shaky. What is that large white thing on the bottom right (that's YOUR right), of the balcony please? Looks like a big heater or some such

    I like it. Do you get enough heat in the winter with the air conditioner/heater unit? I imagine because your bed is elevated, at least you can get warm when you sleep. I really like the lay out, and how neat it looks. I was truly surprised with your closet space... Great vid! Matt

    I've been to Osaka Castle :) I was there on business for a week and couldn't find anything, so I had to walk around until I found the river and keep it in sight. I wandered up there and ate Octopus Balls, they were surprisingly tasty.
    My business contact took me out for Italian food the next day (??)
    That's a neat little apartment and your tour was delightful :)

    basically Osaka is a city in the middle of everything but there are some nice sightseeing areas. The Osaka Castle is pretty good but if you are a castle fan you'll know it's not as good as one of the other popular ones (ex. Himeji). Food is pretty much the main culture of Osaka. Takoyaki, Yakisoba, Okonomiyaki and such. I like it here cuz it's in the middle of everything. Plus the people are fun to be around with. At least the ppl I've met.

    the people are great. The people I've met are very nice and funny. As for checking something out in Osaka, the main places people visit first are Namba, Umeda, and the Osaka Castle if you like that sort of thing. And I am an English teacher for a conversation school for now.

  • @75egcg
    @75egcg 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wow. This looks like the Japanese architects have a better Idea how to use space. They're wise with the nooks and crannies that recess or fold into walls, and they know how to break up the place so everything is in different areas. Really efficient! Versus a typical US equiv. like a studio apartment where you have one room for everything and a bath, maybe an alcove for a sleeping area.

  • @PaopuRamen
    @PaopuRamen 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Your apartment looks so warm and cozy I'm jealous! Also excuse me for being nosy, but around how much does the apartment cost you a month? I've seen some much smaller atps, with ridiculous price tags!

    How'd you manage to find such a big apartment? Most of the ones I've seen all have unit baths and a single matted room. That closet space, the wood paneling, the big bedroom, and your bathroom are to die for.

  • @Hanayanaa

    My area the rent is prob in the $800 but because of my company i pay about $550 a month. To be honest I don't pay too much attention to my bills but I think they are about $60 on a good month all together. I'm very close to food shopping and about all transportation (bus, train, monorail, taxi).

  • @Hanayanaa
    @Hanayanaa  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @777LifeIsMine i pay about 55000 yen a month but with the help of my company. I don't think it would be that much higher. And this apt is in Toyonaka Osaka. There are tons of Leo Palace apartments with different designs. Good luck with coming here. I recommend it. Especially Kansai area.
