I own a 2017 se manual 1.6l fiesta. Great car. Wish it had a 6th gear, but otherwise no complaints. I get an average of 34-37mpg combined driving, which is 4-7mpg above sticker. That's rare in any car.

Starving Wolf I renting one and with the automatic transmission it skoots dwn the rode pretty quick you drive it slow and the engine whines up and says let's go
Got a 2016 hatchback 5 speed.....took out all the back seats and rear trim.....soundproofed and left it all out. Huge diff in performance with 200 pounds of crap out.......soon to remove the passenger seat. Run 20w50 mobil 1....no engine noise at 50k miles.
"The motor you will find in all Fiestas". Not true. The 1.6L four cylinder is just one of three engines being offered. You can also get a 1.0L three cylinder with turbo or a 1.6L four cylinder with turbo.
New fiesta coming out in 2018, won't have that bad DSG gearbox thank god! It's back to a CVT transmission. Hope the new focus gets a better auto box to!

aside from the F series trucks and recent fusion Id say a lot of ford vehicles are unreliable but maybe it's just my luck. my 2010 focus had to be replaced, the replacement transmission went, my 2006 escape was so cheap it had cracks in the centre console. it's transmission went with only 101,674 km. every ford I've ever owned has had spark plug issues. had a cylinder miss fire issues, tire sensors don't work, exhaust needed to be replaced, had 2 flat tires 3 days after buy. got so bad we installed cameras to see of neighbors were tampering with it.
+ozzy do Where have you been? Ford hasn't made a very reliable car since about the middle 90's. Only thing from Ford that has been a reliable car has been the panther bodies, which is the crown vic, grand marquis, and towncar. Only reliable engine has been the 4.6 v8.
+Nodak81 there isn't a 4.9 engine from Ford bud. Or, at least there isn't one that is know as the 4.9. the 5.0 is technically a 4.9 but it's known as the 5.0. were you talking about the 4.6?
+Zack Salter well I never had these common problems with any Fords I have owned including my 2012 ford Taurus just traded in with over 140k miles also it still looked néw inside and out and also it still have that new car smell inside. If you trade your car while and keep it you'll get great service. and I just to drive the hell out of my Taurus the only problem I never had was a dead battery once
the rear seating is horrible, its cramped in the middle, no leg room yet there is a middle seat. wouldve been better if they just made it two seats in the back
99% of ALL FORD CAR INTERIORS ARE ALL BLACK and to me that is very depressing.! this is 2015. Even the Cheap cars of the 70's 80's had FULL (INCLUDING DASH AND DOOR PANELS RUGS AND STEERING WHEELS) COLOR KEYED INTERIORS! I feel bad for you guys born after 1990 that only see Beige grey and BLACK interiors and not all COLOR KEYED like we use to have. Charge Extra for it I want a Black car with a Red interior.
gene978 a lot of the old color keyed interiors didn't age well and stains easily, plus they faded a lot too unless you left it in your garage for 90% of its life
i have a 2013 ford fiesta i can not wait to get rid of hopefully this summer....this car sucks! barely 2 years old and for 1 and a half of those year i have repeatedly had to have this car put in for the shaking and jerking it does...ITS HORRIBLE!!!!! very slow take off! car is just falling apart i will never even look at another ford!
your just not taking care of it my dad's 2005 f150 has the same problem and all you have to do is change the spark plugs which you have to replace frequently on any car anyway

Same here but mine's 2015 with low mileage. The "old school" 5 speed manual is SUPERIOR to "CVT" anything.
I've gotten over 40 mpg in a 2017 Fiesta 1.6L with manual transmission

Your 2016 Fiesta has the interior of the 2009-2012 Fiesta over here. The 2013 onward interior is not drastically different, but it is different.
... I will instead say the interior DOES dramatically is different at least the TITANIUM models ...
