very well said Santosh Sir. thank you EVO India team to bring him onto video. would love to hear more from him ahead. best luck & wishes to Mercedes-Benz India & EVO Team as well.
Government has retracted many of the subsidies as indeed many states have. Another thing, it is also important to remember the source of the electricity. If the source is Coal then we cannot say that EVs are actually de-carbonising the auto industry. I bought one EV this year. It is very nice and satisfying to drive. I use public charging infrastructure and even though there is a 20% difference between the “claimed range” and the “real world range” I am confident of taking it on slightly longer out of station trips to common destinations. I would consider the EV as simply an Alternative Fuelled Vehicle.
@@rohit-gupta I am already on solar power with an EV, hence on zero pollution and zero cost for the next foreseeable future with complete isolation from political scenarios!
Nice podcast getting perspective of the Hi end car OE like MB. One point of probable slip was Santhosh saying that the market ia 4mil and expected to do 10mil in 7to8 years..
I have interacted with persons who drive EV’s and also the EV cab drivers, I got a feedback that, EV’s cannot or confidently be driven like ICE machines especially with higher speeds. They feel road stability is not like ICE machines Vs EV’s. They also told, it’s because of overall weight of ICE machines is more as compared to EV’s. Added point was EV’s are good for who drive on average speeds and not for drive enthusiasts. I am not talking about Mercedes cars but in general on other low or mid cost EV’s. Any views on this.

@@Raveendhana fair points. Makes sense. The current Lithium-Ion batteries are indeed very polluting to manufacture and resource intensive to mine as well as to recycle. I'm hopeful that alternative chemistry battery technologies which are more sustainable will develop to replace them.
Evs make sense, but buying a Mercedes EV doesn't make sense. They are no longer the leaders in the auto space. Atleast 10 years behind Zeekr and BYD etc.
Would you like us to do more such interviews with key people from the Indian automotive sector?

Appreciate your kind words. We do have a boss talks podcast episode with Santosh playing on channel. Do check it out.
EV only for me.
Absolutely wrong without charging infra no one will rely on EVs .

Dear mr Sirish and mr Santosh, many thanks for another wonderful podcast. Best wishes always.

Did he say EV will de-carbonise? How will we create electricity by the way?
Have you heard of renewables? Every country is going less and less coal for electricity.

Good Conversation, I like and admire the great perception on EV’s of Mercedes ❤️🫡
Great initiative 🎉
Very quality questions
Thanks!

One thing needs to be understood before making bold claims, ICE cars still at this moment offer more convenience that EV's.
Can you make a list of conveniences?

Doesn't make sense at this moment. Best salesman also won't convince. What convince is product and price. Just talks won't do. Let's see in future
If mg windsor is able to launch in 15lakhs with 40kw unlimited warranty ,what kind of margin is mercedes takijg is just ridiculous
@savinraja9 so 2 lakh rupees for 2 lakh kms --- it's superb deal
@savinraja9 taresu pair mare
@savinraja9 full purchase price of Windsor EV is 15L only, no battery rental

I cant believe it is 20%, in North part of india it is totally different story. Cannot be 20%
Whether you like it or not, the future is electric. In 10 years we will have 100KW batteries in cars like Creta.
The future is not EV
It's a Creta, a boosted i20 basically; not a truck to need a battery of that size.

HYBRID is the only feasible choice ,
considering 🇮🇳 infra .

more the range
more the price
India needs more hybrid vehicles not electric vehicles 😑😑😑
I hate hybrid.
@@Reddylion why?
Hybrid only reduces 30% tail pipe emissions, BEVs reduces 100%. Hybrids are like consuming pain killers instead of fixing root cause
