Post covid inflation has shoot up more than 40% to 50%. Rents have increased, grocery items prices increased but Salary has not increased moreover job losses in IT industry.. middle class has no purchasing power, no savings. Market mein Paisa nahi hai that's why gaadiyan nahi bik Rahi.

Hiring a taxi for long trips makes sense as you don't get tired from driving. But there are a lot of cons, too. First, sometimes you cannot play your choice of music as drivers mostly play what they like. Then, sometimes these taxis don't have multiple charging ports for phones at the back; drivers keep their phones on charge on the front charging socket. Then, there is no privacy. You will hesitate to talk about personal stuff related to family or anything while on the ride. Also, drivers may not stop at relevant spots where you may get views.
Also, if someone runs just 500-600 km a month, hiring a permanent driver doesn't make sense.

Let me tell you, a car is a necessity, while bikes are very dangerous. Two of my workers lost an eye each after bugs hit their eyes. Bikes easily slip in dirt and mud, especially in rain, and offer no protection from bad weather. Even in an electric storm, you’re safe in a car. Despite wearing a helmet, I was once bitten by a hornet on my arm while riding slowly on my scooter. I managed to stay in control, but I still have the mark on my arm. I’ve had a few accidents: once, another biker hit me and even with a minor impact, my ankle was hurt, and I had to take few days off. Another time, a dog ran in front of my scooter; I was driving slowly but fell, getting bruises-thankfully, nothing was behind me, or I might not have survived.
I’ve been in two car accidents, but both times I was safe. In one case, a biker suddenly appeared in front of me. I braked, the car skidded, and he fell on my windshield, damaging the front bumper and glass. The car behind me hit my rear bumper it was broken. I was uninjured, though repairs cost 20,000 INR maruti swift guys. Another time, a cow came in front of me; she ran off with only minor injuries, and my car had a small dent.
Here’s a summary of my driving experience of last 20 years
    Car (Maruti Swift): 170,000 km
First Bike Meter at 60,000 km meter changed but second meter also stopped working at 30,000 km i still have this bike because it was my first purchase but i dont drive it any more because i don't consider bikes safe
Old Chetak Scooter school times grandpa bought it for me: 20,000 km (sold)
LML 4-Stroke Scooter: 55,000 km (sold)
    Current Activa 5G: 40,000 km
Tractor: 3,000 hours (no km record available)
    Total Driven Distance: 375,000 km
After driving this much, I’ve realized that scooters and Activas are safer than motorcycles, but even a simple car is far safer than any two-wheeler. I hope manufacturers create affordable mini EV at the cost of two wheelers to replace two-wheelers entirely.

Lower and middle class people strive to uplift their lifestyle by ignoring some money. So, be wise to pick up the right vehicle as per the need of an individual or the family and this will not hurt. Drive yourself but plan the trip accordingly. Insurance should be 3rd party insurance but keep in the mind to drive cautiously and slowly.
Remember one thing that vehicle shouls be handled by only one person. So that maintenance is avoided.

Middle class salary class people do not benefit from any financial benefits like depreciation, claiming repairs ans maintenance costs as expenses against one's income.
So it makes no sense to keep changing cars as you lose when you sell, then you lose more when you buy a new car in terms of new road tax, increased insurance premium, servicing costs and maintenance costs, getting more expensive with all the electronics and tech on board.

Few tips for not having car and yet enjoy your time and money.
    1. No car means no headache of parking, maintenance, insurance.
    2. Our cities are already clogged up with no space for walking forget cars.
    3. Use electric bycycle or use scooty wherever possible.
    4. Use cabs for outstation trips.
    5. Inside City just use public transport like metro or cycle.
I am telling this fromy expe, i have up on my old car santro, because it was bit old and required maintenance and new one purchased in 2023 XUV 400. Now life is too too cool and I can see real savings.
No need to have car and driver, in cities like Bangalore even in peak hours if you book premium option, ola, uber, bluesmart all send their cabs in just 5-10 min, you pay little extra or double buts that's far better to not owning a white elephant.
Plus now with e20 going up to e50 all ice cars are only be metal boxes sitting in your parking or motor garage.

. You can install the charger at home.
. Your daily commute is not more than 150kms.
. You are willing to take a cab for outstation trips.
Don't believe all of the hype about public charging as these chargers are usually not working and when they do they cost more than diesel per kilometre.

15 years gaadi chalaiye aur katne ke liye de dijiye. Why should we buy expensive car? Agar 15L ki gaadi hai tab iska matlab hai 15L/15 years = 1L+/year expense.

I can buy a new car but not buying for below reason, car buying not making any sense, availing ola Uber
    1. Price of the car
    2. Paying additional tax while buying car
    3. Insurance cist
    4. Maintenance cost
    5. Petrol cost
    6. Toll tax
    7. Traffic fines
    8. Road rages
    9. Parking problem in big cities

you should buy a car specially for cases of medical emergencies, OLA, Uber works fine when you can wait for 10-15 minutes.
