holy shit this is a weird throwback, the deepest i ever got into the shaggy dog lore was watching the deleted scenes on the dvd i had of the tim allen one as a kid, fucking loved that movie. for some reason. i think it says a lot that despite having seen it 7 or so times I only remembered the scene of the doggy paddling cells in tims bloodstream and an alternate cut of the court(?) scene where the antagonists head turns into a dog instead of him growing a tail or w/e

Does this imply that canonically in the Shaggy Dog universe one of the Borgias turned into a dog??

Yes One of the Borgias turned guys into dogs and in the 1994 movie Wilby thought it was a "love" spell and in the very first movie Wilby was trying to pronounce it I believe

Hey Rory sorrel, while I do hate the Tim Allen Shaggy Dog version and I didn’t get to see it myself, Let me reminded based on what you’re saying that first off the original shaggy dog film from 1959 l, its sequels and the 1994 remake aren’t generic, secondly the shaggy dog franchise is actually still profitable and it hasn’t fallen from its revelance (Especially since the late Walt Disney himself who was such a major dog lover and animal genius created it and it’s based on a book called The Hound of Florence) and third all of the movies of this still beloved and iconic franchise (Except for the sh!tty Tim Allen version) are on Disney plus and it already has its fans more than ever much like Disney’s other iconic franchises including the lion king, marvel, their princesses, The Simpsons, Pirates of the Caribbean and many more. Also if Disney would better reboot the shaggy dog franchise with its real and original hero/protagonist Wilby Daniels as an animated feature (Either Traditional/Hand Drawn or 3D/CGI to be released in theaters either in 2027 or 2029 in which that year the 1959 original shaggy dog movie that started the franchise on a high note will be turned 60 for its anniversary) the franchise will be furthermore remembered by the franchise. Not to mention that that what made this series in the first place is that the first movie back in 1959 made the OES (Old English Sheepdog) such an iconic breed to dog lovers around the United States today, same with Britain when 2 years later in 1961 they made this breed became more popular after they chosen the breed to become the “Dulux Dog” for their paint company of the same name and the AKC ( American Kennel Club) also knew this as well and they’re generic at all so you’re wrong about that to be honest with ya. Also the dog in the god-awful and forgettable 2006 shaggy dog film was a bearded collie!

Hi, thanks for your constructive feedback, means a lot to get comments like these. The info on the dogs used in each film is really interesting!
As for the Disney+ thing, did Disney get around to adding the other Shaggy Dog movies to Disney+? When I made this video they had the classic original, Shaggy D.A., and the Tim Allen one. The two two movies in between Shaggy D.A. and the Tim Allen remake were missing, and I had to scour for them.
