I felt so fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet both Tommy and Tim in person and get their autographs on my DVD cover of The Shaggy Dog! I gave my phone number to Tommy hoping to keep in touch as he too lived out here in Las Vegas, but sadly we never met outside The Hollywood Show convention. They are both missed.
This was so entertaining! I just could listen to these kind of backstage stories all day! I don’t think I’ve ever seen Roberta shore talk about her Disney days, so that was an extra treat, but Tommy Kirk and Kevin C. are wonderful to listen to! it’s so refreshing to hear actors look back on their young professional careers and have such positive things to say! I love The Shaggy Dog! ❤ Thanks for sharing this!!PS-I dint know how I managed to get my name changed! Lol😅
@@deeanna3335 I love Toby Tyler! You don't hear much about that one. It's charming and so much fun. The circus has a "bad reputation" sadly and has been "cancelled" by many. I have so many sweet memories of going to the circus with my dad--who loved it!
You have to hand it to Walt Disney, he entertained the nation's children for many years and was always above board no "darkness" or problems among the cast or staff doing these movies!!
I watched this film a couple days ago. It made me happy and sad at the same time. Happy because...I mean, come on. How can this film not make you happy? Sad because...well, they don't make em like they used to.
Kids were very well behaved in those days. They were very much young ladies and young men, unlike today's kids who are rude to each other and their elders.
All these kids were fantastic. I still watch all their shows at 66 yrs old. Never tire of them.
I just watched this movie for the first time in years. The scene that kills me is the dog driving the car. Lmao😅😂😅. Thanks for posting this.
Tim C. did a fine job playing the "bad guy"...I love his reflections on that. This is something I'll be watching more than once! Thanks, Brian!

Wow I've never seen photos of the transformation makeup being applied to Tommy before
I always wondered how they did it

I was eight years old in 1959 when I saw it in the theater on a family trip home from visiting Disneyland. It was my favorite childhood film.
Born in 1961, I had a wait a few short years to see this movie, lol. I liked it and thought it was groovy.
That was a great movie! I was 3 when it came out!
