You guys are brilliant. Jonathan plays so beautifully. But also, these are the best recordings on TH-cam. It’s very difficult to record a pipe organ and get faithful reproduction of the live sound. These videos come very close, and I am grateful. 🌺
I know Im randomly asking but does any of you know a tool to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@George Rhys Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
These wonderful untiring Jonathan & Tom made us very happy again today as so many times till now. Same to be continued...! Good for us! And for them! Cheers!
I really can’t add to anything to the comments already posted except to endorse them . I do however want to say how much I admire the trouble you take with your appearance and those highly polished shoes , dancing on the pedals just get me . 👏💕 Many thanks to you both for the joy you bring to so many .
Absolutely agree. Jonathan is a true professional. His introductory talks are always fascinating and prepare one for the works that follow. His brilliant and equally talented brother remains modestly in the background and produces these superb videos.
Bravo Jonathan. A lovely piece beautifully played - as always. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Thanks to Tom for the brilliant sound and vision. So pleased live concerts are back again now. 😃
I'm always sort of amazed when I see thumbs down on videos like this. How can 14 people give this a thumbs down? Incredible piece, played with terrific energy, fabulous registration on a beautiful instrument
So much more exciting that the far more widely played Toccata and Fugue in D minor. Put the brothers at the front of the vaccine queue for services rendered during the crisis is what I say.
I would like to thank the Scott brothers for all their work in music even though I am totally blind and cannot see this harmonium I loved your description thank you so much keep up the great work
Magnífico Bach en las manos del incansable trabajador de las notas. Bravo Jonathan Scott. Saludos desde Madrid. Hasta la próxima cita, que será mañana o pasado. Gracias.
Wonderful as always, and nice to hear the organ brought up to FULL on that final measure ! Love empty concert halls acoustically, they become so very 'live' (O:
Jonathan - Your normally composed body language gives way to shear joy here. Why? Because this is one h... of a thrilling performance. Having fun, you are!! And it seems like I hear more upper-work in the audio this time. That's a good thing. So much appreciation for all of the Scott Brothers creations.
I love the whole piece, it is just so amazing! Here are some great parts: 0:23 - From such an simple melody to this 5:59 - I really love that build up there 6:31 - Just Amazing
Thank you once again Jonathan and Tom. So many wonderful pieces and so many beautiful organs. Two of my consistently favourite organs have been this Marcussen and the Lewis organ at Albion Church.
I’ve always wondered what the Bridgewater Hall organ sounds like. It looks so impressive at the back of the stage. Even more impressive when played at this level of expertise!
Magnificent and such an enjoyable performance of this noble prelude and fugue. I do hope the Scott brothers will one day produce the complete organ works of J S Bach. I know it has been done a few times before and I have all my Peter Hurford CDs from the 1980s, but Jonathan's vision and sheer artistry would be really special. Perhaps with some works played on the Bridgewater Marcussen? Incidentally, I have another excellent recording of this piece played by Nicholas Kynaston on the much smaller but beautifully designed Rieger organ in Clifton Cathedral. Although my LP is nearly 50 years old, it's still treasured and played often. Kynaston creates a similar thrilling build up with the fugue and even without the shattering Marcussen chamades, achieves a spine tingling conclusion on the fiery Austrian opus. Bach's toccata and fugue in f major bwv 540 next??
Wonderful, thank you. The credits say '.... and arranged by Jonathan Scott'. Does this mean choosing the registration, or does this piece need some arrangement to be playable on this organ?
Are all of the same facilities and features of the main console also available on the remote one? Also, how is the remote console connected to the organ? The cable is quite thin, obviously quite different to a cinema organ which I once saw which had a very thick cable, presumably with lots of wires, and a flexible pipe, which looked like vacuum cleaner hose; not sure if it carried positive gauge pressure or vacuum.
I admire Johnathan and listen to many of his excellent transcriptions. but am I alone in finding this more helter-skelter Bach. Yes technically brilliant but I want to savour the individual notes. For me if the tempo is too fast to ornament then its being played too fast.
It's pieces like this that make me not like that organ. Is it the musical equivalent of homogenised milk? I've never been lucky enough to hear it in person, but none of your other videos have that quality so I'm sure its not your recording technique

Johann is, no doubt, grinning down from above like a Cheshire cat at this marvelous performance.
Jonathon the incomparable! Thanks you.
A phenomenal piece played by a master of the pipe organ. Speechless
Every new Video from the Scott Brothers makes this whole pandemic lockdown desaster a little less terrible.
Thanks a lot for sharing!
It's like a dog that keeps us sane I love all the videos they make
And cats etc. I so agree. God gave these guys a gift and they are using it!

Fantastic. I've listened to it two dozen times and counting!

Ditto. No pretty socks nor blue jeans.

It’s kind of a way to show respect for the music and the marvelous instrument he’s playing.
Well done!! Magistral!! Impeccable!!
Thanks for this gift!!😉😘😘
Bravo Jonathan. A lovely piece beautifully played - as always. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Thanks to Tom for the brilliant sound and vision. So pleased live concerts are back again now. 😃
Truly a wonderful performance worthy of the piece and the instrument. I feel very grateful for the Scott brothers.
Das ist große Freude und Ehrerbietung!
Bach in Gottes Diensten auch für uns heute noch.

The thumb-downers are leftover Neanderthalers. (my apologies to Neanderthalers)
Great music and excellent playing !
A masterly performance, as always, and the organ sounds wonderful. 💜
I'm speechless. That was absolutely phenomenal.
So much more exciting that the far more widely played Toccata and Fugue in D minor. Put the brothers at the front of the vaccine queue for services rendered during the crisis is what I say.
Glorious, simpply glorious. My spirit is soaring with joy and I am overwhelmed.

magnicient organ and virtuoso brilliant playing. I have played the G major prelude today at noon. I play organ in the church.
magnificient
Such clarity and precision. Wonderful playing and awesome photography. Thanks to both of you.
Great pedal work! Wonderful performance as always, and Tom did a very clever job with audio and video!
Magnífico Bach en las manos del incansable trabajador de las notas. Bravo Jonathan Scott. Saludos desde Madrid. Hasta la próxima cita, que será mañana o pasado. Gracias.
Wow, what drama! From the music, the setting, Tom's camera work, the whole package!
Wonderful as always, and nice to hear the organ brought up to FULL on that final measure ! Love empty concert halls acoustically, they become so very 'live' (O:

Bachs most joyful piece imho. played beautifully!

Can I just say that Organ looks gorgeous
And match that with amazing playing
Preciosa obra de arte de Bach, excelente interpretación.

Another brilliant Bach P and F. Just love those Scott bros!

BRAVO!!!!!
My man!
Браво, спасибо!!!
It's real. I want to ask for such a performance .
How spirited!
Will you upload these organ pieces to Spotify any time soon?
Wonderful, thank you. The credits say '.... and arranged by Jonathan Scott'. Does this mean choosing the registration, or does this piece need some arrangement to be playable on this organ?
Registration
Fugue 2:54

Rossini’s William Tell is my fave
Ich verneige mich.
Would loved to have had a cadenza at the end of the fugue.
Is that electronic cable?
Nope, it's the Organ's tail.
Just a M.I.D.I. cable.
Why the hurry? 🤔
lol wait "film and sound Tom Scott"
今いいや

本物なw
The prelude sounds to hurried. Vivace is not the same as prestissimo.
I admire Johnathan and listen to many of his excellent transcriptions. but am I alone in finding this more helter-skelter Bach. Yes technically brilliant but I want to savour the individual notes. For me if the tempo is too fast to ornament then its being played too fast.

Way too fast! The longer pipes barely get a chance to speak on some notes.
