    Add fingerstyle guitar, even beginner learning at it! It’s helped getting through the vietnam war when i was stationed there for a year!
    The reason is because you can learn it and you don’t even need to have teacher because of TH-cam! Plus if you are even a loner you can learn solo guitar and record and set up a cheap recording process and really get thrilled.
    The guitar has really helped me get through most difficulties of life!!!
    And with all the different styles it can add SO much inspiration and positivity like the wonderful teacher expressed!!

    When I reached 50 I became selective of people in my life , I left some negative ones behind. Few years prior I discovered my purpose and my calling one one of my trips to Tanzania. I’m supporting education for children with disabilities and planing on working there for some time . I fundraise money build school dormitory collect clothing and school supplies. Once a year I ship the contents and visit the school . I’m also a student on my fourth year of my study . I still don’t know how to play a musical instrument , something I would love to learn. Also, I would love to learn dancing and paint . I’m learning Kiswahili to be able to communicate with “my” children. I do it with child’s curiosity and what makes me happy. Life has a purpose and it is beautiful. In my family my grandma and now her daughter- my mom have dementia. I’m hoping to break the cycle .

    All the good tips will matter only if you have a positive outlook on life. As the old song said " Look For The Silver Lining ". I have a fridge magnet that says, " Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it". I am 71 yrs old and I look forward to everyday. I plan on living to 107 years old. After that it's all bonus time. Be happy. Be well.
    Love yourself. : )

      I have been reading a lot into expectations. Whether you should have high expectations - to be optimistic, expect things to go well; or low expectations - be pessimistic, expect things can get worse and be pleasantly surprised when they are better than you expected.
      I am leaning towards a mixture of both. Generally I would think it would be better to expect things to go well, while obviously being realistic.
      However if there is something you can't change and it's driving you nuts better to lower your expectations in my view.
      I love your phrase "Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it". I'd add one more percentage to that - that's 100% true.

    One of the smartest scientist called Nicolas Tesla says " Be alone, that is the secret of invention ; be alone, that is when ideas are born." The same scientist says "Intelligent people tend to have less friends than the average person. The smarter you are, the moe selective you become"

    • @sonamjordanma452
      @sonamjordanma452 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Dr Saurabh Ranjan I agree with you. These people are like lotus in the mud, diamonds 💎 in coal mines, Lion of men, but Nicola Tesla is also the greatest scientist. The father of these days social media that you are mentioning above is actually him, he is the one who predicted about smartphones about 200 years ago. Everything from home lights, to tv, to computers to smartphones and now electric cars 🚗 are all depend on electricity, the founder of whom is Tesla. When a person like that said something he believed in, there must be some weight in it, right ? So, what I concluded here is that whether you are alone or in crowd, whether you are loaded with digital media or not, it is one’s ability to extract the goodness of everything. Like if you don’t use social media like whatapp, fb, TH-cam that you’re mentioning above in proper way it could damage you. In same way if aloneness is used properly it give birth to some important invention like electricity, but if used in negative way it could be the source of suicides and crime. It is up to the individual whether he follows 100% of what those optimists His Holiness The Dalai Lama and those other great visionaries etc. are saying. I’m sceptic 🤨 people follow even 5% of it because of the distraction everywhere in this ever competitive world. I’m happy though His Holiness’s and ancient Indian word ‘Karma’ has become universal and popular everywhere. At least they are believing - maybe out of fear that if this is done, that’ll happen. Oh how much I love 💕 this invisible stick called ‘Karma’

      Besides, it seems to me during sleeping the brain works on connecting scattered pieces of new knowledge/skills you have just got, like connecting pieces of a puzzle.
