    What do you think of these modern style Adirondack chairs? We love the way they turned out. They add such a nice touch to our fire pit area. What kind of seating do you use around your fire pit or outdoor gathering areas? We would love to know!

      Love the simplicity of the design. I am going to make one in a loveseat length style. Will most likely use smaller boards for seat and back though I think.

      What kind of wood did you use? It looks beautiful with the stain.

    I made a pair of these from your plans on line. Easy to build and very sturdy. I used treated lumber so the chairs would match my new deck. I bought 8 2x4x8 and 5 5/4x6x8 deck boards. Thanks for the plan they turned out great.

    Great video. Good detail. Helped me get the angled cuts on the feet just right. Just built two of these and honestly I highly recommend weatherproofing them before assembly (if you get untreated wood). The angles and crannies you have to get to once assembled is not incredibly simple. Also, pay VERY close attention to what he is saying and doing at the 7:15 ish mark. It's a crucial tip!

    I’ve been wanting to get a label printer for my small business for the longest time and finally pulled the trigger. I’m glad I did ! This machine is great th-cam.com/users/postUgkxw55tQTywUAAOsbrlwxONZULry77sFF1Q and the blue/green color matches the rest of the accents in my office. My favorite part is how small the footprint is. It’s less than 1/4 the size of my regular printer.Set up was fairly easy. Seller will email you a link with video instructions Which I found to be more helpful than the written instructions. I use a Mac and had no issues. They even included an adaptor for USB to USB-c which is great because I’m always losing mine! I had a few issues getting the labels to print properly and wasted quite a few sheets. You need to play around with the settings to get everything adjusted just right. If you have the wrong settings, it’ll crop off the edges or feed through blank labels. These aren’t issues with the machine though, just user error.

    What's the purpose of removing the triangle at 4:00 mins? Your seat slats aren't going to bend round it. I've seen this done when they've used thinner slats.

    Why not use the pocket screws to attach the top of the arms, instead of doing screws through the top?

    • @somewhereinoklahoma5574
      @somewhereinoklahoma5574 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pocket holes in that joint wouldn't be as strong because you are attaching into the outer grain of the chair arm. Simply filling the holes with putty helps to hid the top screws.

    BUT,

    And they wear their safety crocks, at all times?

    • @RaisingNobles
      @RaisingNobles  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gotcha. Yeah we used a stain with a sealer in it for weather resistance. They have been holding up quite nicely and we’ve had a very rainy summer. We don’t keep them under a cover and the water rolls right off the wood

    This is a great design but I'm sorry. I cant go with stained pine. It just wont hold up. Right in the area where you will connect with screws , debris will get in there and that joint will NOT stay dry. I have trusted and been burned so many times with untreated in the elements. They won't last 4 years. But if your area has a roof over it then thats better but .....

    You have to be more carful!
    The way you work with the skil saw is just wrong from the safety side. You are a few more cuts from a kickback, right into your bare foot legs.
