    Great build, I definitely gained some inspiration from this for my upcoming project. At 8:13 the video cut out, did you measure to the far side of the 2x4 or the close side? I'm trying to infer the angle between the seat and the backrest. I know the the arm supports were cut to 20 degrees in the back, but I'm thinking the backrest doesn't exactly hit the back support at that 20 degrees (unless my math was off). Thanks again!

      Great question and sorry about the confusion. The measurement is from the close side. So, the support peice is behind the 21 1/4” measurement from the front is the chair. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

    I'm new to woodworking and was about to take on the Ana White design as my next project. I like your explanation and design approach better. Much easier to follow for a beginner like me with very few tools. One thing. Please show the finished, painted version. Maybe a sequel to this video? Otherwise, great work! Subscribed.

    Great design. The 2x6 box for the base is far sturdier than any other plans that I have seen. I am thinking of making a set of MDF templates based off this design. I am also going to use my Kreg for the screw connections. Do you sell paper templates for this design?

    • @beardedspruce
      @beardedspruce  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah, the 2x6 box makes for super sturdy base. Unfortunately, I do not. But, making an MDF template is a great idea! Let me know how the chairs turn out.

    I was trying to write down the angles you had for the rear base. I heard 28 7/8's on the top but the second angle wasn't clear for the bottom. Could you let me know what that was. I like the looks and construction over some of the others I've seen. Thanks

    • @beardedspruce
      @beardedspruce  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry about that, the bottom one is 22 9/16" and then about 3" from the top of the board for other measurement. Hope your chairs turn out well!

    Great project! I'm thinking about making the back slats longer so a tall person (6 ft) can rest their head against it. Do you think that would bend the boards too much or can I just add a couple inches to the boards? Thank you!

    • @beardedspruce
      @beardedspruce  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can def go longer, there is little to know flex in any of the boards. Excited to hear how they turn out!

    Hello! I’m confused on the cut for the base on 2/6 on the back side with the 90 degree ruler. What’s the measure to write the line and cut?

    • @beardedspruce
      @beardedspruce  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry about the confusion. The top was 28 7/8's, the bottom one is 22 9/16" and then about 3" from the top of the board for other measurement, the important part of this is that it creates a 90 degree angle with these 2 cuts. Hope this helps, let me know if you need more clarification
