Just so you guys know that upper pinch bolt is not as easy to get out as it may seem. I will the deal breaker for many trying to do this job themselves. On my Audi Q5 I removed the upper inner control arm bolts, the lower pinch bolt and the bolt that bolts the lower strut connector to the control arm. This was way quicker when I did the coilovers install.
Another tip for everyone, purchase a ball joint separator. Looks like a two prong fork. I just did the upper control arms on an s4 this weekend and it made the job sooo much easier.
How do I do the inverse for the back and install OEM springs? The damn H&R were too rough. My car came with it on it 😢. I have already got the front struts off.
Nice new ride

@@LenartoGarage Lucky you. That setup makes me wanna take an RPG granade launcher to it. No joke.

What size wheels do you have on it? Mine drove great on the H&R springs until I put on 22” wheels.
@@LenartoGaragestock 20”. I live in NYC so the roads aren’t great at all, even tried removing bump stops which helped a weee bit but not much.
What size was the pass through wrench? Also what long allen key was used? Thank you!
I don’t recall the exact sizes. I updated the description with some tools you will need.
Go KW bud if they have them.
Surprisingly the lowering springs handled very well. In general, I agree though, a complete coilover replacement is typically the way to go.
Your brake discs are in wrong direction!!!
Were they? Didn’t notice! Since then, I replaced the rotors and pads.
