I lived in China for some months in late 2019 and early 2020. I, too, saw that China is very different to how capitalist media and govts in first world countries portray it. It’s much less politically oppressive and much more economically prosperous than we are told. Also, the socialist govt restrictions make sense given the context of how many people died when China had uprisings in the past (e.g. the Taiping Rebellion and the Cultural Revolution), and how many people suffered and died when the USSR fell, and given the current US destabilisation campaign.

I am Tujiazu. I did get an extra 10 score in the entrance exam. My colleague roommates, two are Uyghurs and one from Mongolia. My Uyghur roommates told me they got extra 100 scores in the exam(which I envy so much). However, it is a good policy. Because my hometown is in the middle part of China and less developed than the east coast province. Education standard is lower. Xinjiang is less developed and due to their religion, it is correct to give them more extra scores to encourage more young people to have high standard education. My Mongolian roommate, however, is damn tall and strong...yet rich.....The first day we met, he told me his family sold a cow to pay for his Tuition，I feel sad for him at that moment because I thought he was in a poor family...yet he told me his family has more than 1000 cows. I've been to Beijing University for an exchange programme and my fellow classmate who is a minority in China mentioned her privileges in university admission.
Xinjiang has been in administration by Han Dynasty more than 2000 years before, even far before Uyghurs formed for the first time as a nation in 13th century AD in Tang Dynasty.
Even after 2000 years with Han Chinese, the Uyghurs still have their own culture, traditional clothing, and language. The same goes for more than fifty other ethnic groups. This shows that the Han Chinese are not culturally invasive, unlike how some western media try to make it sound.
That is completely misleading. It is a region that has been conquered and ruled by China for a few periods in history when China has expanded westwards at its greatest territorial extents. That has been far from the norm throughout history. This kind of statement reindforces the extremely imperialistic attituide that the current Chinese government promotes where everything that has once been under Chinese rule at any time must be part of China (you frequently see this in attitudes towards Tibet -and of course every island and stretch of water sout and east of China). I'm British so should we therefore assume that anything and everything that Britain has ruled at any time in history must be British and accept British rule now? I'm sure that'll go down well... That was an excellent analysis by KJ Noh. What i think people often overlook in their discussion is part of the reason America is trying to use atrocity propaganda and to blame China for covid-19 is they are looking for a justification to cancel the trillions in debt owed to China. They can't do that right now without ruining their economy and the bond market, so they use alleged atrocities as the starting off point to create a rationalisation.

When the Commissioner of United Nations High Office for Human Rights, Bachelet, visited Xinjiang to investigate the allegations of genocide, she was not allowed to go to any unrestricted areas in Xinjiang. She was not allowed to interview any Uighurs she may encounter during the visit. When Bachelet visited and investigated Xinjiang, she was only able to visit places permitted by the China Gov., and was able to only interview Uighurs permitted by the China Gov. When she interviewed the Uighurs , China officials must be present to monitor the interview. China is trying to cover up the crime of genocide against Uighurs that is being carried out in Xinjiang.

I lived in China for some months in late 2019 and early 2020. I, too, saw that China is very different to how capitalist media and govts in first world countries portray it. It’s much less politically oppressive and much more economically prosperous than we are told.
Also, the socialist govt restrictions make sense given the context of how many people died when China had uprisings in the past (e.g. the Taiping Rebellion and the Cultural Revolution), and how many people suffered and died when the USSR fell, and given the current US destabilisation campaign.

They said their business is getting better last 3 years because there is night market now. 3 years ago, no one walk on the street in the night because some bad guys fighting on the street with knife all the time.

I am Tujiazu. I did get an extra 10 score in the entrance exam. My colleague roommates, two are Uyghurs and one from Mongolia. My Uyghur roommates told me they got extra 100 scores in the exam(which I envy so much). However, it is a good policy. Because my hometown is in the middle part of China and less developed than the east coast province. Education standard is lower. Xinjiang is less developed and due to their religion, it is correct to give them more extra scores to encourage more young people to have high standard education. My Mongolian roommate, however, is damn tall and strong...yet rich.....The first day we met, he told me his family sold a cow to pay for his Tuition，I feel sad for him at that moment because I thought he was in a poor family...yet he told me his family has more than 1000 cows. Damn it! There are good sides and bad sides, but the policy is abusolutely reasonable and try to give everybody equal access to education asap.

I've been to Beijing University for an exchange programme and my fellow classmate who is a minority in China mentioned her privileges in university admission.
Xinjiang has been in administration by Han Dynasty more than 2000 years before, even far before Uyghurs formed for the first time as a nation in 13th century AD in Tang Dynasty.
Even after 2000 years with Han Chinese, the Uyghurs still have their own culture, traditional clothing, and language. The same goes for more than fifty other ethnic groups. This shows that the Han Chinese are not culturally invasive, unlike how some western media try to make it sound.

That is completely misleading. It is a region that has been conquered and ruled by China for a few periods in history when China has expanded westwards at its greatest territorial extents. That has been far from the norm throughout history.
This kind of statement reindforces the extremely imperialistic attituide that the current Chinese government promotes where everything that has once been under Chinese rule at any time must be part of China (you frequently see this in attitudes towards Tibet -and of course every island and stretch of water sout and east of China).
I'm British so should we therefore assume that anything and everything that Britain has ruled at any time in history must be British and accept British rule now? I'm sure that'll go down well...
Challenging the narrative is one thing but questioning the propaganda on one side only to swallow it wholesale on the other is something else entirely.

If you have studied Chinese history, you should have heard of the Western Regions Duhufu “西域都护府” which was the administrative institution established in the western region(now Xinjiang) by Han Dynasty more than 2000 years ago.

On the contrary, when the Hans was allowed only one child per married couple (for example, Xi Jinping himself has only one child), the minorities were never put under such a policy. They actually don't even suggest that China killed any Uighurs. They instead try to invoke the memory of the holocaust in describing them as concentration camps. Which is more insulting, because people that saw these places described them as tertiary education centers teaching trade skills. And they went home on the weekends.

That was an excellent analysis by KJ Noh. What i think people often overlook in their discussion is part of the reason America is trying to use atrocity propaganda and to blame China for covid-19 is they are looking for a justification to cancel the trillions in debt owed to China. They can't do that right now without ruining their economy and the bond market, so they use alleged atrocities as the starting off point to create a rationalisation.

When the Commissioner of United Nations High Office for Human Rights, Bachelet, visited Xinjiang to investigate the allegations of genocide, she was not allowed to go to any unrestricted areas in Xinjiang. She was not allowed to interview any Uighurs she may encounter during the visit.
When Bachelet visited and investigated Xinjiang, she was only able to visit places permitted by the China Gov., and was able to only interview Uighurs permitted by the China Gov. When she interviewed the Uighurs , China officials must be present to monitor the interview.
China is trying to cover up the crime of genocide against Uighurs that is being carried out in Xinjiang.
It’s quite simple. What kind of ethnic genocide regime improves the lives of the ethnic group? What does any country do to counter any extremist group? Since when did you care about muslim lives? Why do you try to force your way of life on China under the name of your definition of democracy when Chinese people are living just fine or even better than you? Just leave China alone.
