Just want to say - there's so many bad tutorials on TH-cam for this feature, but your video on it is fantastic. Simple, straight to the point, and explains everything very well. Thank you!
If I send the clip from PR to AE and do the speed ramp, the clip will be longer logically. So if I send it back to PR what will happen with the surrounding clips?
My clip is ten seconds long and when I slow it down every part of the clip that goes past the original ten seconds just goes black and silent. I absolutely 100% modified the composition to allow for 20 seconds just to be safe. I tried other clips in different formats and even tried older versions of After Effects. So annoying.
@@AlliandWill I was doing some Time Remapping on some clips and I faced the exact same issue. I did however found out that for some reason my clips where not extending after applying the Time Remapping so i have to manually extend the clip. This is how I fixed the black screen part but extending the clip manually is a jarring experience.
Technically speaking, if you have a 10 second clip, and you slow mo it, it will become longer, so you’ll then need to make the composition length longer, so maybe that was the issue. It would be nice if the composition did it automatically, but for now it needs to be done manually
The video would be out of sync with the audio, but simply complete the effect, then duplicate the media in the composition and then remove the effect for the bottom layer, and also turn off the audio for the top layer.
Hi there 🙂 Speed ramp + skateboard sound quite dangerous in my mind 😅 Well I might use this in my next videos, however I have to admit after effects is quite hard/ overwhelming to use sometimes Thanks for sharing anyway🙂👍
Way better than Premiere pro for vfx/graphics but much worse than Premiere Pro for handling clips in an edit and working with audio layers. After Effects is meant to add effects after lol
Best video to learn speed ramp in after effects. A lot of thanks for making and sharing your video!!

Glad you found it helpful!
anyone know how I can control the position and amount of the slowmotion section with sliders?
Best tutorial on this!
Appreciate that! Thanks!

The surrounding clips will stay intact. You'll need to move them further down, then pull the dynamic linked AE clip out
Thanks Bro! that's a lesson that i got learned today.
Can you show how we can loop a certain frames within a layer with increasing the play speed
Best video for this! Grateful!
Appreciate it! Glad it was helpful!
Slow-mo speed ramping makes the " slow-mo" way more smooth, rather than just a harsh point where it starts. Great how to!
Smoooooooth!! Thanks for watching and commenting!!
1:16 1:31 tut on how to do that zoom ?
thanks man really appreciated 👍👍
No prob! Thanks for watching!!

Strange! It might be the media type. Try converting it to ProRes 422 HQ

How to slow motion the video but not the audio ?

After effects is for everything video editor.motion graphics.vfx.away better than premiere Pro.
