first watched the video where he made the auto pencil shooter.........my first thought was, "over glorified nerf guy?" Then 2 minutes later I found out I was wrong......dead wrong. I love his work. Legendary
I had a buddy who was an army vet that had a home intruder once (it was base housing so sometimes "home intruders" were actual burglars but sometimes people just literally walked into the wrong house because theres 300 identical houses on a street and they didnt live there long). My buddy is 6'2", a lean 200lb, and is an Appalachian hillbilly and looks/sounds just like it. He heard a noise and ran down stairs completely naked and then starts screaming at the intruder as soon as he hears him. I can only imagine the terror you feel when you see a 200lb naked hillbilly charging you, hurling random objects at you with his dangly bits flopping around aggressively.
I’d assume the rule (myth) that only experienced swordsmen could cut mats is a leftover, historic guideline turned dogma, from when the tatami mats where still prisoners’ arms. You don’t want someone hesitating and fumbling when you use prisoners. Just imagine that experience (for the prisoner, the swordsman and the onlookers), and the need to have a rule calling for swordsmanship makes instant sense.
Weebs: "it takes years of practice and flawless technical skill to cut totami mats" Joerg with literally no technique and a lump of mild steel sharpened with an angle grinder: cuts through the space time continuum
I've been in a slump all day today, and your video helped...helped cheer me up a bit. I'm a rather down sort of person, so it's a fleeting joy, but maybe another one will help even more. Thank you man, for your happy smile and your hearty laugh.
actually, a lot of great armies were defeated in that forest. Maybe this bathtub is indeed a time travelling machine, which Jörg used to win battles for Germanic tribes...by showing them it's features ofc.
I'm a headphones user and guess what, my ears survive because I'm smart enough to turn down the volume when someone is about to anglegrind a sword from steel.
Joerg, I would say you proved an opinion of mine perfectly with this video. No sword is in and of itself perfect for every situation or wielder. Quality sword is better in some ways and for specific uses, but for general bashing, the cheap steel "Orc Sword" is the better option. Several thousands of dollars / euros / pounds vs el cheapo if you are just going to smack it against things, go for the cheapo model, it won't hurt the pocket as much when you need to replace it.
@Anthony Swiss I think they have a lower power out put than other countries I'm not saying that they generate less the outlets are just different voltage
I love your laugh. Kinda random, but it’s exactly how I imagine the laugh of a character in the Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn trilogy by author Tad Williams (which I’m currently reading) to sound. Isgrimnur is a burly, aging yet able bodied sort of knight/warrior with a kind heart and a warm, “cool uncle” kind of demeanor despite his intimidating rough-and-tumble appearance. Not that you’re old by any means! You just have a great laugh and you’re holding a sword so.. there we go! You’re now my mental image for Isgrimnur when reading his parts. Hope that’s okay 😂 (Also if you haven’t read those books and you’re into that sort of thing, I highly recommend them! GRR Martin said they inspired his Game of Thrones series and imo they are better than those) Cheers!

I have, but not the american kind, I have worked with 4lifedirect, a broker to the Red Sands Insurance Group working in the V4 countries and since last year even Greece, mainly selling different life insurance plans but depending on which country you are in the plans might be different. And the main product has a couple of requirements, you need to have valid documents, like ID or Passport and a secondary document which can be either your social security card, tax card etc, you are over 18 but under 86, you are able to do your own official matters (for example deaf and blind people aren't, but there was a workaround to that). But there are no checks to your health and there is a 6 month waiting period just for this. The exceptions to when the insurance doesn't pay is: 1/ if you commit suicide in the first 24 months of the activation of the contract 2/ in the first 6 months you die under influence of drugs or alcohol 3/ if the death occurs due to participation of criminal activity 4/ death due to war or terror attacks 5/ if you are the one who'd get the money and you kill the one who has insurance you don't get a dime of it 6/ if you have the extra double for death by accidents, the insurance company doesn't have to pay if you die under the influence of alcohol 7/ (this is a new one, we didn't have this when I worked there) the insurance company doesn't have to pay the specified amount in the contract if you die in the first 24 months due to cardiac diseases, pulmonary diseases or cancer but has to pay back the premium that's roughly it.

It has everything: Tools, weapons, inventions, applied science and engineering, experimentation, destruction, bravery (like grinding that steel piece without any eye protection!) and the laugh of the man who did all these!

Then 2 minutes later I found out I was wrong......dead wrong.
I love his work. Legendary
He's wearing glasses
Why did he wait till he was 50? I did not. That probably is why I require a 2 aspirin kick start in the AM to get my joints moving.
He's wearing his safety squints
imagine being a home intruder and just hearing "SHAQ!!" "Ahaha i made it!" While you are blacking out
I had a buddy who was an army vet that had a home intruder once (it was base housing so sometimes "home intruders" were actual burglars but sometimes people just literally walked into the wrong house because theres 300 identical houses on a street and they didnt live there long).

Pretty sure it was prisoner corpses, not live prisoners... Most of the time.
Safety is not his number one priority.

actually, a lot of great armies were defeated in that forest. Maybe this bathtub is indeed a time travelling machine, which Jörg used to win battles for Germanic tribes...by showing them it's features ofc.
So happy to see this comment on here. Have a son named Hermann.

Hope that’s okay 😂
(Also if you haven’t read those books and you’re into that sort of thing, I highly recommend them! GRR Martin said they inspired his Game of Thrones series and imo they are better than those)
Cheers!

There’s no way an insurance company would give this guy a life insurance plan
Michael seriously, I worked with an insurance broker company that would have given a life insurance to him.
High Master Johannes Liechtenauer Lool that’s insane
The exceptions to when the insurance doesn't pay is:
1/ if you commit suicide in the first 24 months of the activation of the contract
2/ in the first 6 months you die under influence of drugs or alcohol
3/ if the death occurs due to participation of criminal activity
4/ death due to war or terror attacks
5/ if you are the one who'd get the money and you kill the one who has insurance you don't get a dime of it
6/ if you have the extra double for death by accidents, the insurance company doesn't have to pay if you die under the influence of alcohol
7/ (this is a new one, we didn't have this when I worked there) the insurance company doesn't have to pay the specified amount in the contract if you die in the first 24 months due to cardiac diseases, pulmonary diseases or cancer but has to pay back the premium
that's roughly it.
Oh well, when you live for over 600 years, you learn many skills.

What?!? This is a commercial for the bath tub or angle grinder right?
"I can probably use it for ammo"
He's turning the deceased katana into one of his own future weapons features. Lmao.
As far as I know, this katana was later straightened and last seen wedged in a massive steel weight after Joerg dropped the weight on it and the katana embedded itself in it. Forget the name of the video, something like "Insane Katana Torture Test" or something.
reminds me of how some Pacific islanders (who didn't have metal smithing at the time) stole and traded iron from western traders and turned some of them into weapons that they then used against the westerners. There was a story I read that some westerns got drunk or something and were aggressive with some islanders and the islanders ended up attacking them with what was basically a big ass paddle with giant ten penny nails driven into it.
