We love wood here at The Slingshot Channel. It is our most important raw material by a great margin. When we found this 20" piece of European Dogwood (Cornus Sanguinea) while cleaning up the shed, we immediately had the idea to make a sword from it.
The wood is very dense and hard, it even sinks in water. The piece was completely dry as we harvested it six years ago. Ideal material!
We went to work with the new Stihl 170 carving chain saw... and truly, the final product exceeded our wildest imaginations.

Yeah but he has the upper body strenght to compensate for lack of form and knowhow. I kinda expected the cut with the wooden sword to get through a lot further but it looks like his edge alignment wasn't great in that cut which is fair as he lacks practice but just imagine that cut with a bit better edge alignment.
Sake Rift strength isn’t enough to compensate for poor edge alignment. This is what we call “beginner’s luck” lol

Sure, a wooden sword may be able to cut a few things but Joerg also has the strength of 5 men so I feel that he can do a lot more things with a wooden sword than an average man can.

Adjust the length of the sword to compensate for your strength. And PRACTICE! You might want to build up your strength too, if you have the time. If you made one of these for yourself, you are NOT an ordinary man. Takes a special mind to think this far outside the box. I am guessing that under 5 percent of the people who watched and commented actually made one for themselves. Remember, it's not as good as a steel one, but IT'S BETTER THAN NOTHING. And nothing is what most people have for their emergency.

I get that it's from minecraft and seems like a cool idea and you probably know this already, but an actual diamond sword would be completely useless, it would shatter almost instantly. One of the most important properties of steel for swords is it's resilience, when properly hardened it will bend and return to original shape where the instant diamond flexes it's going to break.
