The best way to level them is to take the passenger side cable from the motor and use a drill to turn the cable and eyeball the level until they are equal.
I know this video is from a year ago. I would’ve ignored the marks and simply spun the cable on the left side with a drill until the clamshell arms were even. This is assuming the transmission is ok and the travel of the arms is unimpeded. Did you solve this?
I had to convert it to manual. The three stud-mounts that my driver side transmission bolt to were bent, throwing off the alignment slightly no matter what I did in the way of aligning the transmissions
Exactly! I literally just did it. Make sure the trans arms are tight and in the slot then unhook the cablr from the crooked side and spin with a drill until aligned. If it closed uneven pop off the cable and adjust till even. You don't even need to take anything apart.

The manual tells you how to close the top manually in case of problems.
How do you remove the claim shell if one side doesn't lift?

@@gearswitch5692 Sorry to hear that. What’s your solution for the clamshell bouncing around when you drive?
@@bonedaddy996 It really doesn't bounce around or rattle noticeably so. I am picky and it hasn't bothered me yet!
