After Olivia and Joshua broke up, he started dating the "older blonde girl" mentioned in the song, Sabrina Carpenter. Due to the success of "Driver's License", Olivia released "Sour", her first album. In 2022, Olivia won 3 Grammys for her album "Sour". Olivia was born on February 20, 2003, making her 21.

I think I've listened to this song 100 times, and I still get chills. Olivia writing SOUR at 16 and 17 years old shows just how amazingly talented she is.

Not only did it win Olivia the Best Pop Solo Performance, but it also garnered nominations for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Vampire ALSO got nominated for both top awards. Both Sour AND Guts also got nominated for Album of the year. She is 2 for 2 with grand slam homeruns in both album releases. She also had many hits before she broke away from Disney under their label. The song Driver's License emotional lyrics and Rodrigo’s heartfelt performance struck a chord with audiences, making it a standout moment during the ceremony. The song was #1 on the Billboard charts for EIGHT straight weeks after it debuted at #1. Pretty impressive for 1st song release ever. Bottom Line: Olivia Rodrigo is amazing. She's also a great actress and will likely cross over to movies at some point like Ariana Grande and Zendaya. The "Blonde Girl" she mentions in the song allegedly refers to Sabrina Carpenter- yet another pretty Disney girl who has been very successful in both music and acting.

This song literally brought me back 30-plus years to my first "real" heartbreak. From the sidewalks, to the photo montage, to the feeling betrayed, music is a funny thing. I call it my therapy. Music is one thing that we all can relate too in one way or another. I think for her first song to be such a hit says so much about her talents. What we parents or managers or friends MUST do and be better is protecting these impressionable young artists from unsavory individuals who prey upon them in multiple ways. Its time to end that nonsense and let them be. Olivia what a wonderful job. Stay strong. You'll find a man who only sees you when you walk into a room! Olivia is remarkably talented, I will give her that. Talent doesn’t cover up lies and corruption though. This song does sound like someone broke her heart, and unfortunately that wasn’t the case. She cheated, she then called the relationship off, he then became better friends with Sabrina (because he needed someone to lean on). She made sure to destroy any chance of a relationship with her as well. A lot of her fans don’t like to hear this, because it is the truth. It is also the reason Disney and their record company dropped her after Sour. You’d expect them to have kept a young 3 time Grammy winning artist. They now want nothing to do with her, and I don’t blame them. If I can make one music suggestion, listen to Joshua Bassett’s Trio he released in response to her album (Crisis, Secret, and Set Me Free). He waited a full year before releasing them AND donated every penny made to mental/emotional health awareness charities. He has also been a performer for WAY longer.
