She’s been acting and making music since she was very young. Sabrina is one of the few Disney child stars that managed to make it out of the machine and build an adult career. I remember when she first got big as the best friend (and best thing on the show) in Disney’s Girl Meets World. She’s a good actress and as she had been making music with her sister all her life Disney used her songs on the show and played her videos on Disney channel. Like Zendaya before her she understood the exposure was good for her career but could be disastrous if she had tied her music career to Disney’s label and control. She took time off after the show to work on her music, release independently and grow up. She started building back up strategically several years ago and it paid off with a hit album she was happy with, creative control, touring with Taylor Swift, a Netflix Christmas special, a Grammy and her own tour this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if she did more acting in future now that she has established herself as a musical artist. Too often when child or teen actors can also sing and are on channels like Disney or Nickelodeon the music gets dismissed as just the network milking every dollar they can and many who had music as their first love lost that part, if not all of their career, after Disney days were over.

I can understand why you think this song is about Scooter Braun/Scott Borcheta, but I'm not sure that's correct. Taylor did the NPR Little Desk Concert (also available on you tube) and in her intro to The Man, she said she'd spent more than a decade thinking about the double standard and wondering how to write a song the most effective way about this subject. I think the song was a long time coming and rumbling around in her brain for years. Did Scott cheating her out of her Masters and then selling to Scott Borcheta give her that final inspiration? Maybe. Btw, Taylor was a poet, writer, and children's theater actor before she turned to songwriting. She won a number of poetry contests and wrote a 350-page novel when she was 14. She wrote a full-length movie script that was picked up by Searchlight Films in 2022. Taylor will be directing that film, so I suspect that will happen this year. Thank you for reacting to this mv. I've seen clips of her preparing but I had never seen this mv before. It's absolutely fabulous. This film should be shown to every middle & high school girl with corresponding discussions. It should also be shown to parents so they can start parenting their sons to be better humans!

In this music video, the main character pees blue glitter. In the Anti-Hero music video, she bleeds blue glitter. As a University of Kentucky fan, I relate to bleeding blue! 💙😄

I agree...lyrical storytelling, music composition, acting, directing, and has a good sense of humor...Taylor Swift is the full package. She's also great at business, hardworking, tough, inspirational, classy, easy on the eyes (you shouldn't say this, but I will 😄), and so much more. To me, as far as the music business, she's the greatest entertainer ever. So, Sam and Scott, thanks for continuing to react to Taylor Swift! 👍👍

In a first-time listen, a Taylor Swift music video usually distracts from her lyrics. I think I've mentioned that, when available for Taylor Swift, it would be good to play the official lyric video, comment, play the official music video, comment, and that's a wrap. 🎬

Scott, I agree inasmuch as her perceptions about interactions between her and her recording label was the _seed_ for this song. Scott, I completely agree that the lyrics are a commentary about sexism in society in general; as you said, "people in this world have a double standard when it comes to a man versus a woman". The same behaviors are often characterized differently when exhibited by a man versus a woman; the "double standard". So, Scott, you win this one because you followed the lyrics more closely: I would be complex I would be cool They'd say I played the field before I found someone to commit to And that would be okay For me to do Every conquest I had made would make me more of a boss to you I'd be a fearless leader I'd be an alpha type When everyone believes ya What's that like? ... They'd say I hustled Put in the work They wouldn't shake their heads and question how much of this I deserve What I was wearing If I was rude Could all be separated from my good ideas and power moves? And they would toast to me, oh Let the players play I'd be just like Leo (Leonardo DiCaprio) In Saint-Tropez ...

It's all about gender double standards and what's accepted in men and not in women. If TS was a man, she'd be The Man given her superstar billionaire status, but she's criticized and put down 24/7 on the Internet. The scene with the guy slapping the hands after a night with a woman is the opposite of the "walk of shame" women talk about.

You need to watch Rotten Mangos video on this. It’s long, but it goes into a lot more than this video does.

Fun fact. She used the same makeup artist that did The Walking Dead TV show. I always forget how funny this video is. Even more so you know it’s her. What gave it away for me was the smile. She actually does have a deal to write and direct a feature film. Now that her tour is over she might be getting that process going again. I want to see a full Taylor directed movie. Also, there is a video she released the behind the scenes on this one and a few you haven’t watched yet.

Sam starts turning into a Muppet on mega doses of caffeine. This is a wonderful thing. (So says a woman who is totally a Muppet).

The subway wall, it has the titles of her first 6 albums that were stolen from her, hence the “if found return to Taylor Swift” (which also doubles for her self-titled album). There’s also another sign there that says “no scooters,” which is hilarious.

This was the first music video she directed herself. She wanted a woman director but couldn’t find one that was free to take the job so she decided to direct it herself. There’s a lot of meaning in this song/video and a lot of Easter eggs

The tennis coach is her real father, Scott Swift. She went thru training how to walk and gesture like a man but the one thing they couldn’t change was her voice thus the The Rock

She has a contract with Starlight for a film she has written to direct. I suspect it what will keep her busy in 2025.

It is about the double standard. Between men and women. Women take the walk of shame after having a one night stand where guys are propped up as being amazing if they do. Men can act like total douche bags and if I women would do the same they would be called angry, crazy, b word etc., men can be more successful and paid more for the same job women do and it is so much harder for women to climb the corporate ladder. Men just has to be a minimal parent and people think he’s amazing but women work full time, cook, take care of the house, do appointments, bring kids to sports games and they arnt given hardly any props for what they do as moms. Generally speaking of course because of course there are some men who do so too. You got the Serena reference. Society decently treats women very different then men and Taylor is making this comparison saying what would it be like if I was a men. There is a hole behind the scenes of this video you should watch it she had training to learn how to walk like a men etc! Thanks for your reaction always love them!❤

Others in the comments have already explained but yes, The8 or Xu Minghao is a member of Seventeen! While they are most complete as a group many of the members have incredible solos. One of my personal favorites is Woozi's Ruby, he already produces and composes for Seventeen so listening to a song that's entirely his from composition to the combination of classocal and rock instrumentals to his incredible vocals is amazing.

Jin was known for his ballads first, those songs are so beautiful gorgeous and emotional. With the HAPPY album, as this is a solo album, Jin wanted to create the type of music which he likes to listen to himself which is soft rock. His ballads though! Those songs are just on another level. Jin is also famous for emoting feelings. One renowned musical theatre director commented on Jin’s singing that he’s very technically sound so he’s always stable. Also, with his acting background (Jin studied acting in university), he attacks those ballads like a monologue in a play. It’s always filled with deep emotions and moves you to your core. He’s very intentional with conveying his feelings.

Absolutely agree. Jin’s range so WIDE and he’s famous for conveying emotions in a song. He does it like nobody else.

Jin is the King of ballads. Epiphany, Awake, and also another OST (original soundtrack) called Yours which is probably my favorite Jin song because he sings it so beautifully. I was watching this kdrama on Netflix before I even heard Jin had an OST in it. I like it because it stars Lee Min Ho who is a very famous actor as well as the female lead. There are a lot of good and famous Korean actors on this show. I’m sure it’s a big budget show. Go check it out. A lot can happen in space 😮.

Just like what happened when I first heard "Yours", I cried even when I don't understand the lyrics. Jin's voice is just full of emotions.
