Pally remember that by taking the upgrade in the castle where potions refresh your class skill it means that for the chef a potion and a piece of meat increase your food count by 1. So it is the most broken class skill in the entire game with this upgrade
seeing the hammer again reminded me (because i used the hammer to do this), if you ever get a Pacifist trait on your character; if you find one of those shops to change your weapon you'll no longer be a pacifist but still have the bonus gold generation
No, you want to use the Chef’s healing when you need to heal a lot. A little missing health is recoverable from runes, but a lot needs meat… which will recharge the Chef use. [EDIT]: Immediately after commenting this you picked up the meat in the room with the spinning chains… with three Chef uses still remaining. [EDIT 2]: AUUUUUGGGHHHHHHH!!! I hate food wastage =P
It's best to keep no more than 2 charges on you when you're playing with the chef trait. You still get the benefit from the consumable, but you also get a soup charge.
Pally just in case you didn´t know: normal attacks break those baliista´s arrows. So as long as you are spinning u can´t be hit by an arrow. Don´t know if it works for archers.
For 14,720 gold you can max out "Meditation Studies" so you get your full health and mana back when you enter a boss room. Very useful if you are not locking the castle down. Right of Barbarian unlock and above mage unlock. Door with HP MP on it.

Since the food chef ability seems covered... When you swap abilities at the dummy cart... you get a free relic "blessing" when you swap attack or the first skill you get a blessing of strength (+6% weapon damage) when you swap the middle ability you get a relic giving you +20 resolve, and when you swap spell or third ability you get a relic worth +6% magic damage. I love swapping the middle ability if I can so I can pick up more resolve costing relics... but its also a nice way to increase your unique relic count for the war drum relic.
There IS stuff behind that "future stuff" purchase. It's just 2 upgrades relating to spell crits, probably not critical, but it's not locked content, or else you wouldn't be able to buy it. I'd advise to try and get 1 level in everything so you can see where to invest more money, after having the full castle available!
Hey Pally, a small tip I found out. If you're looking for secret walls, try to spin attack off the wall. If there's a secret there, you can spin kick off of it. It won't open it, but you'll know where it is before wasting your mana.

Pally! important information! At 17:06 you were fighting the multiple ballista's and YOUR SPIN DEFLECTED THE BOLTS. That means that while spinning, the ballista can't hurt you?!?!
This weapon should disable traps that can be disabled by downstriking.. since it slows your movement. Like sending the spinning fireballs to their center, and downing the saw blades, give a knock away frame off of spike balls, Etc.

That Quenching rune is actually insane on a chef since then even mana potions recharge your class ability. You pretty much become unkillable unless you majorly screw up.

The biggest Mistake Pally always makes in this game is he rushes ahead so often but when he plays Slow he plays well.
That and his "need" to kill every single enemy.
Granted, but then again his focus is on presenting and creating engaging content.

It's not the quenching rune that does it. It's the castle upgrade that recharges your trait when you get a mana potion.
