Rogue Legacy 2 is back and has all the trappings of a typical rogue-like (randomized runs, changing characters, and more), but with persistent upgrades, and persistent dead heirs. In this game, your legacy defines you. Spend your parents’ inheritance and grow the family manor to give your children a better fighting change. Each child is unique, with their own traits and abilities. Your daughter could be an archer. She could also be a Vegan. Also play how you want to. Go hard and fast, or take it slow and steady, and build your character up until you’re ready for greater challenges.

Transmogrify is definitely the content play I think, but keeping what works is probably the safer play!
This was so incredibly awesome to wake up to today. You're the only person I watch who plays this game and it's always such a delight to see it.
Transmogrify has to be the play. You fall so far behind on damage otherwise. Drop the resolve cost by 75% or so in house rules. Small change but it makes a big difference
small change? 75% reduction in resolve cost is giving you 4x the power! are you crazy? that would make things so OP its not even worth watching.

a quick tip for this mode get used to setting resolve below 100 since theres some powerful relics and as long as your not loseing current health its very hard later to end back up at full anyway so its just free power

I think Transmogrify is dealers choice. Sometimes you need the health to keep the run going. Knowing which biomes you have finished maybe its good to change since your weapons/abilities are good in the later biomes. Sometimes having the perfect character means you keep it for the whole run.

I dont get it. Why is below 100 resolve so bad when you constantly get max HP upgrades? Isn't it basically the same thing? Resolve and extra max hp? You started with 300HP, you reached below 100 resolve while still being above 300 max HP. Imo you could have kept going, empty vessel for sure was a good choice that barely would have impacted you negatively (the one that gave you 10% HP and damage for a very low resolve cost).

I had to pack up my computer a while back so I've been missing out on my RL2 progress.
Talking about how important food is in this mode, and yet missing that chicken when you went down from the room earlier.

Which is more fun to watch? Probably going for the Transmogrify. What do I think you SHOULD do? Keep a good thing when you got it. Only transmogrify if you're not happy with what you have. But that's just my opinion. You're better at the game than I am, so grain of salt.

Personally, I think you should stick with whatever items you deem appropriate to finish the run until you've finished your first run. Then, to spice things up, you can do a challenge where you swap/transmogrify each time it's offered.

Pally, listening to you talk about your computer having troubles due to that main RAM slot card... My question to you is did you notice it crash out your V rising game? Meaning like when you would use a particular ability like the game would crash?

i'd say go with your gut feeling until you get a win, after you reach that accomplishment i 100% think it's transmogrify every time.
Awesome honestly do what you feel is the play but I think having to change up to new weapons evertime would make for good content wish I was as good at thus game as you are lol

The shield relic that prevents damage every 6 kills is amazing because it works on the fruit that damages you and ups you max hp.
I only played a few true rogue games, but I really like the other new mode.
Yeah its incredible. Always hurts to see him skip it but to be fair I never thought it was good until I stumbled onto the realization myself
@@CJ9611 That was me with Herons Ring. Was really surprised to see it buff the status effects. Its a really good relic for Chef.
In my opinion, you should always pick up the medallions. The whole point of "early runs while you're still getting used to it" is practicing for the end game. You gotta practice reserving enough resolve to carry 4 medallions, 80 total resolve. If you get used to being able to use up all your resolve, that'll be a bad habit to break for the end game runs.
I also think you should transmogrify MOST of the time, unless you have a godlike setup. If you've got parts of your kit that you're not using (like the sporeburst spell), or things that are causing you drawbacks (like the guns kickback), just transmog and hope you get a crazy combo. This would also be to practice using a variety of items, attacks, spells and combos, so you have higher chances to succeed no matter your kit.

I think we should try at least one run of doing Transmogrify every time. Maybe think of it as an additional challenge run? "I can't say no!"
Transmog if you don't like your current setup. But if u have a strong setup, keep it. Your first setup with the claws and amatrasu sun was my second attempt at this mode and carried me through. Sadly I didn't find the medallion for the first time until the 2nd zone so I didn't complete it (didn't even know it was a thing).
I don't think you need to make an arbitrary rule for yourself like Transmoging everytime. I think you should go with what seems most fun to you and i'm sure it'll be fun to watch. Rolling the dice every now and then is always pretty good shit.
I think you should transmogrify or not depending on what's best for the run. I like my long videos

ROGUE LEGACY!!!! So glad it's back. I vote you have to take the transmog every boss. I agree that the medallion should be sought after you complete this mode a few times.

Idk if you have to trans EVERYtime but I do think if you did it would help with the damage scaling because those enemies got tanky fast.
